I had my 1968 Chrysler Newport shipped from California to Alabama. The car arrived with a damaged rear bumper. They said it was not their fault. Pictures proved the damage that was done. They are very unprofessional when it comes down to making a claim. I would not recommend using this company. They sub contract out to car transport companies that are not professionals. Been using RoadRunner in the past years to ship the cars, I understand the pickup/drop off schedule may not be accurate due to some other factors. Recently they will call you and increase your original quoted price after booking. I'm still ok with that. However, we had a BMW X5 shipped from CA to NJ. After received and inspected the car, we found out there were some problems, we bought the car from dealership not some third-party small shops. So, the car was in perfect condition. When we took the car to BMW dealership to check, they found out the trailing arm was broken due to improper towing. Try to contact RoadRunner for a claim, First, it's very hard to get in touch with someone, especially when you mention claim. Finally, was able to submit the claim and they denied the claim right away even though I provided the pictures and estimate from the dealership. The estimate even indicated the damage was from towing. When I requested to talk to someone else, maybe a manager, the lady in the claim department Jenna told me she's the manager and no one else can help me. Plus, she's the only one in the claim department. Try to call again and they won't answer your phone call anymore. read more

They also arrived the exact day and approximate time they promised halfway across the continent even while the southern half of the country is buried in snow . They then confirmed the pick up date and asked if id like to buy the 100.00 insurance for which I said yes. They then called me to say the price had increased to 1016.00 and I reluctantly agreed to the higher price (due to busy time of year) then they called me back to tell me that the driver wants cash upon delivery for which I said no way, and to cancel my order they then called me back to say the credit card would be ok. They quoted me $1200.00 3 days before our vehicle was to be picked up we received an email they have a contractor for our vehicle and to call them I called them and they bumped the price to $1500.00. we had no choice but to pay the hostage fees. They farmed it out to Sparks Auto Transport. Driver texted us and said he would pick up vehicle at 12:00 PM. Driver showed up at 10:00 PM and spoke very little english. Google translator told us 3 days will arrive in Milwaukee. Driver texted us on Friday and said 9:00 AM he would arrive to deliver vehicle. Well you guessed it 9:00 AM came and no vehicle. I texted driver he said he was in Chicago which is 93 miles to our home. Well I understand how Friday traffic can be in Chicago. Get a load of this he showed up Saturday at 12:30 AM. My car was covered in Bird Crap it looked like someone dumped a 5 gallon bucked of bird crap on my vehicle. I took pictures of his truck front plate rear trailer plate when he picked up our vehicle and our vehicle on his trailer. I called the driver at 11:55 PM on Friday and told him he had 30 minutes to deliver our vehicle or I was going to report it stolen I saved all message from driver he told please do call police. After making my reservation with them 4-weeks ago, the day before my car gets picked up they call extorting me for more money. After I was given an exact quote based on my delivery location and day of pickup, they call me the day before when they know it's too late for me to switch to another carrier and say "it's a busy time of year". They were already a little more expensive than some of the competition but I didn't know much about car transportation. These guys seem very friendly at first but once they get your order they don't really care about you. Set up a shipment on a Thursday for Monday pick up from California to Arizona. They quoted me a price which was in the same ballpark as many companies but since these guys had good ratings I went with them because I didn't know any better. They advertise on Youtube as being a very large company and doing a lot of business, but actually from talking to them they must work out of an office and broker all their deliveries. They don't have their own trucks or employees that move the vehicles. They just call a local delivery service in your own area and charge a fee for setting it up. I used them because I didn't know any better, but that isn't the worst part. After taking the credit card information from me for payment I asked if I was to get an email that shows I made payment, but James the sales person said no you only get the booking confirmation that they already sent me. I will get a call from the dispatcher on Sunday the day before pick up. Waited all day Sunday and no call. Called them left a message for James at his extension and emailed them to let them know I never received a call. 6:45 Monday morning James calls me and tells me that I never signed the contract. I said what contract, i never got a contract. He said he emailed me and my son who the car is going to last week and we never responded. He asked me to repeat my email address and asked me if I was sure that is the correct address. I told him I've had the same email for 20 years and I checked my spam folder and nothing was there. Called my son and he didn't get the email either. We were both supposedly on the same email. This guys James just plain dropped the ball and forgot to mention a contract and didn't send the email until Monday morning. After getting the email he put it in my sons name and wanted me to sign it, and I told him 'NO' you need to put it in my name since I am paying for it and that way it would be a legal contract. After signing the contract electronically and sending it back, I called him to see if they would still pick up same day and he wouldn't answer his phone. I called 8 times and request James and I got disconnected 7 times. Finally I talked to Carla who i think was the manager and she confirmed the order, but no guarantee on pick up today. I told her I took the day off of work and cleared my schedule because I new the car was to be picked up today and even after that they said its not their problem. 1 Hour later I got an email to call them to confirm the pick up. Called them and then they told me the price of the shipment has gone up unless I wanted to pay majority of the bill in cash. They said it was a short notice pick up and the shipper they were using charges more. At this point I had a signed contract but now they wanted to charge me more because of their mistake and I wasn't going to pay them cash. I ended up paying the extra amount because I already took the day off of work and changed my schedule around their pick up. I would never use this company again, because they are so unprofessional and they changed the price to ship when they knew they had me over a barrel because I needed it picked up after taking off work. After talking to the driver is when I confirmed that this company is just a broker and all they do his call local shippers in your own area to pick up and deliver cars. You can save a lot of money by just calling around and see if you can find someone local, and its probably the same companies that these national shippers use because most of the ones that advertise a lot are only brokers. In your reply to me you failed to address the issue of your employee dropping the ball about not sending the contract and then lying about sending the contract and then raising the price for the shipment because it was now short notice. initially, they promised me the moon and they appeared very trustworthy over the phone. While the 3rd party contracted driver was polite, I literally had to drive the car over 2 miles in rain and slush to get it loaded. And, we live in a community that is easily accessed by a lot of 18 wheelers so what the hell! Once the car was picked up, I tried to use their "tracking " system which is a joke as all it shows is your reservation number, approximate pick up date and approximate delivery date. It is not a "live" tracking system and is of no help. The car did get delivered ahead of time but no thanks to the Roadrunner staff - only the contracted driver. The car has been at its destination for two days now and absolutely no follow up from Roadrunner as to how things went, was I satisfied - nothing! Do not use them point blank period. Although road runner itself has been responsive on assisting me, they do not have my car. They hire 3rd parties to ship your car. They give you the 3rd parties number but beware the third party I received never answered me. It has been over a week now and all I keep getting is ignored by OZUU EXPRESS LLC. I have no issue with a delay as long as I am kept in the loop. However, I was not. It is not like they have a piece of my clothing they HAVE MY CAR!!!! ridiculous. Lets see if my car comes without any damage if it even ever gets here. UPDATE: turns out the company they hired was in violation and was OOS (OUT OF SERVICE) due to AN AUDIT violation! I was able to figure this out myself by going on the DOT government website. They assigned me a new carrier thankfully right away but OZUU EXPRESS YOU SUCK. I was given the run around by another broker the weeks before and after Christmas trying to get my car shipped out before the new year, so on the 30th I was calling around trying to find another broker to ship my car. I reached out to Road Runner and they booked me on a carrier the very next day. Granted, it took two full weeks to get the car here and every time I called Road Runner they never answered the phone, but they provided the carrier's company name and I easily googled them to contact. But the experience was really great; the carrier was easy to reach by phone and very polite in explaining why the car was delayed (bad weather, driver shortage, both of which I understand since it's winter and right around the holidays/in a pandemic). My car is in the same condition it was picked up in, just a little dirty from the cross country trip. read more

This is the absolute worst service that I have ever received. I got my new car shipped through their service only to receive it with MULTIPLE cracks in the windshield. They promise to have insurance that covers damages during transportation in the contract, so I called them everyday for a week afterwards with promises that their manager would call me the next day... and it never happened. Once I finally said that I wanted the managers number, they gave it to me for the guy to tell me they would only cover it if the cracks were large enough to damage the entire windshield. I took my vehicle to safelite repair and they informed me that the windshield would be replaced. After this, I had a busy day at work so I had my wife call the manager and he yelled at her and said that there was nothing that he would do about it. I immediately called the guy after my wife told me this and told him to never speak to my wife like that again, to which he proceeded to tell me "F**k you, you f**king c**k sucker!" First time I hired a transport company and it was the worst experience. I had to wait 4 days for them to go get the car and by the time he got there he was extremely rude to the seller. I assumed a transport company would make it easier for me, as I would not have to take the long trip to pick it up myself. But if I pay all this money then just do your job. I booked a car shipment from Honolulu, Hawai'i to Miami, FL. I dropped my car off on 5/26 without issues and received a notification on 06/02 that the shipment had left the port. I have passed the expected port arrival time. I have not received any additional notifications about delays. I have been attempting to call/contact for days now with no one picking up. My car is no longer listed in the web tracking system. I called the parent company and they forwarded me back to the Hawai'i line, which promptly put me on hold and never returned. As others have said...I wish I had read these reviews before scheduling with Road Runner. It is a nightmare (and I am still in the middle of it). I booked one month ago for a pick up before Memorial Day Weekend to get the car to New Mexico. My account was updated with "carrier assigned" and then "scheduled pick up" which was not before Memorial Day weekend but on the Sunday of the weekend. As others have said, when you are booking you will have phenomenal customer service. Once they have that credit card (and they will push additional insurance) you will never hear from them again. My car was supposed to be picked up two days ago (May 28th). I was told that was firm. Nothing....Couldn't get through to company on Sunday or Monday (Memorial Day). Called this morning and spoke with two different people who are calling "dispatch"...they cannot even tell me if the car will be picked up today. It is unbelievably stressful and the customer service reps have little information. If the car gets picked up today and actually makes it out to New Mexico next weekend, I will post again but at the moment I am completely in the dark. I was told, specifically, that moving a vehicle from the east coast in an enclosed trailer would be VERY fast, due to the fact that it's a premier service, and would be six days, eight on the outside (cough). IF you get them on the phone (they don't return phone calls or emails to people who actually were stupid enough to use them as a broker), the standard answer to "when is my car due" is two more days. Dealing with issues is normal with travel, moving, logistics and I have a HUGE tolerance for poor customer service and delays. But.. Roadrunner is the worst I've dealt with in my life. All the negative reviews are true. Once you book, that is the last you hear from a human. Saying service is abysmal is an insult to the abyss. It's words that I cannot write on this platform. If you are reading this AND you decide to book with them anyway, it is your fault. Do not book with this company. I have no idea how they make money when they do not ship vehicles. Pro-tip: They will eventually recognize your number and ignore it. Pretend to create a new order on a new invoice and you will get a number to call with a human. Be persistent. They like putting you on hold that leads to either a voicemail or it hangs up. There are other services that have the decency to be in contact with you. Roadrunner is a complete failure. This past Monday another car carrier broker we had arranged to ship my mom's car with from upstate to FL failed to show up, and so I called RoadRunner to get a quote. I spoke with Jeff who gave me a decent quote and said he would put in an asap order. Within one hour A1A Transport bid on the car and they actually picked the car up within 5 hours later! Also, I had requested an open carrier, but it ended up that A1A Transport had space on an enclosed trailer which was even better! They estimated the car would arrive today (3 days later), but it actually arrived yesterday one day earlier. No damage to the car and the driver was very responsive and kept in touch with me all day to let me know when they would arrive. I will definitely recommend RoadRunner! read more

I explained to him that I'm only in town for that day, he said no problem, I'm making a note on you account. He even took down the time of my flight. I received an email on the day prior to pick up to call and confirm. I was told that it would actually be 5 days later than agreed pickup! The man on the phone repeatedly told me I should have read my contract. I explained to him that it was verbally confirmed on my phone call, the pick up was for that date. The communication was good initially for setting up the transport of our car, but when it arrived the driver wanted to drop off our car in the middle of a busy street. It was complete chaos when we tried to explain to him that it was dangerous. We spent nearly 45 minutes trying to convince him to drop it at a safer spot, and eventually talked him into a less busy street which was still in a precarious place. In the end, it was partly our fault for picking a smaller gas station to meet at. Be prepared for a very large truck to deliver your vehicle and pick a spot that's big enough to accommodate that. read more

I had my rare car transported from Jersey to Texas and the guys made sure (without me saying anything) that the front bumper didn't touch or graze the pavement at all whatsoever because the car sits low.
