First time using Road Loser...the driver signed for a new car with no damage and delivered a new car that needed the right fender repainted. The driver pointed out the damage and stated he didn't do it, yet he signed for a new vehicle with no defects. Been trying to reach these people for over 72 hours regarding my car that was scheduled to be picked up 2 days ago. Got ghosted by the driver, ghosted by several customer service representatives after we got charged on our account of course. Worst part is that we are trying to get our family car shipped. My kids and I are stranded trying to get them to respond to get our car. This is outrageous. My husband is active duty and has been having to walk an hour to get to work everyday because of this companies incompetence. Avoid at all costs!!! We were very disappointed in RoadRunner Auto Transport, and in particular the "broker" we dealt with. He was very nice on the phone, but we were looking to transport a project vehicle that had no brakes. We were aware that this could be a problem and specifically told him on the phone that there were no brakes or emergency brakes. He went ahead and schedule a transport date and when that day came we had to call a number to confirm all of the details and while on the phone I mentioned no brakes or emergency brake and he immediately said that they couldn't take our vehicle. We had to cancel the whole transaction. We are moving out of state and are in the midst of packing up our house and this is the last thing we needed at this time. Extremely disappointed. read more

They shipped my car from Philly to NY with windows open, and of course it stormed along the route. Interior was soaked. I was not there to transfer possession of the car to the tow driver, but apparently it is not a reasonable expectation for this company to close any car windows or cover any openings that might exist due to car damage. This was after the transport was delayed by a day. The tow was booked for me by a third party, so I never saw the plethora of negative Yelp reviews this company has until now. 11/3/2021 UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! My husband prepaid for a car transfer that was to take place two days ago. His car is still sitting in our driveway here on the west coast. Two days ago Road Runner called to inform us that their truck broke down and rescheduled the pick up for today between 9am and 9pm. It's now 9:58pm still without a single call, text or email from the driver giving us the 2-3 hour prior pick up time. I even called two times earlier today to get an update. I also confirmed that they had my correct telephone number which they did. I was told that the pick up was still on today's schedule and that the driver would be calling 2-3 hours prior to coming. Road Runners written agreement states that the customer is charged each hour that the driver has to wait post to his estimated time of arrival. Does this mean Road Runner will now pay us for the hourly delays in the transfer of our vehicle to the east coast? Do they really expect us to pay the fees for a now needed rental car? Does Road Runner feel that this is an acceptable way of doing business? This isn't okay and for this reason I'm leaving an honest review. It's only fair to inform potential customers what they too might experience. Our dissatisfaction in trusting that Road Runner would follow through left us quite disappointed and with an extra hassle on our part to now coordinate other arrangements and a rental car. Road Runner has not provided us with any type of service nor follow up. They were happy to take our credit card payment without services rendered. Alright y'all here's my updated review and why you should absolutely NOT BOOK WITH ROADRUNNER. I was shipping my car from Chicago to LA. I filled out a quote online, and then received multiple calls and emails from RoadRunners Customer support team wanting to help with the booking decision. After reading the google reviews, I thought it was a great fit. Now I know that most of those reviews are in fact fake and if you look on YELP.... You will be terrified at the almost 700 1 star reviews they have. Once I booked my car to be transported from Chicago to LA, Roadrunner said a carrier would be assigned a week before my pick up date and my card would be charged when the carriers was assigned. Just as they said, all of that did happen and pick up was great. Keep in mind though- RoadRunner is just a middleman and has no real relationship with the carriers. This is where the nightmare begins. My car was supposed to be delivered on 4/30. RoadRunner said the delivery window is 9am-9pm and the driver will give me 1-3 hours notice. No car, no call on 4/30. The next day.. Same scenario. The next day, same scenario AGAIN. Finally 4 days go by and I finally get through to RoadRUnner. I had been calling literally every hour for the part 4 days with no response. The one time I did get someone- he hung up on my as soon as I started asking for help. No response to my emails either. Their customer service literally disappears after they charge your car and there is no way to get through to them expect through their bogus online agents. They are humans, but they use template responses and don't help you at all. They kept telling my car would be delivered every day for 4 days. If they tell you they will "page your carrier" that is a flat out lie. They also could not locate my car for those 4 days. I paid over $1k and this is supposed to be "your number one source for reliable vehicle shipping." I finally get a call from RoadRunner on the 4th day saying that my car will be delivered today. I finally got the number of the carrier delivering my car and my car was delivered. Do not trust their timelines of pick up and delivery. It cost me money and time to get the car 4 days late. To sum it up- RoadRunner is a scam. When you get a quote, they will call you numerous times trying to get you to book but the second they charge that credit card... they ghost you. SAVE YOURSELF THE DRAMA... I promise you can find better and cheaper auto transport options. Also to John S. aka the person responding to these reviews- your replies to peoples reviews are weak and fall short. I posted a review the other day and you responded to it within a few hours, but some how no one can answer phones/emails. read more

Had a corvette I purchased in Michigan. Did a quote on line, very reasonable. Kyle reached out to me to see if I was still interested. I booked with him. They said they would pickup on the 12th. On the 11th I get a phone call, carrier canceled because the Vette was too low. I asked if that would affect my dates. She said I hope not. Well, it did not! New carrier picked up my Vette on the 12th, great communication with the people I purchased from, delivered Friday the 15th at noon. 3 days earlier than the first company committed too. Driver called 2 hours ahead with a time On Friday. Said I'll be there by 12p to 1230p. Was there at 12p. He was spot on. Driver couldn't get in my neighborhood due to low trees. Called me, sent me a location pin 2 minutes away. Car was offloaded and in my driveway 10 minutes later. Well done. Great job. Would definitely recommend. read more

I had a new Corvette shipped and paid a premium for an enclosed trailer for the added protection. Car arrived in a dirty trailer. Driver said he had to leave the windows down so he can get in/out. it looked like it came out of a barn and was filthy inside and out. Called Roadrunner to discuss and each time they put me on hold and no one answered. After repeated attempts to reach Roadrunner I just gave up. Had to have the car fully detailed and was a significant cost. Due to their negligence I would have been better to have shipped on a regular trailer, at least the windows would have been shut. To start, I haven't been able to get in contact with ANY representative via phone or email for almost two weeks, and their live chat is disabled. I simply said, "You're quote was about $250 too high" compared to several others I had received. I spoke to two people on the phone, both of whom were extremely short and rude. Craig Erickson hung up the phone on me while I was in the middle of speaking. I had used their services a year ago to ship two vehicles across the country, and the cost was reasonable then. Now less than a year later, the initial online quote was about 20% more for the same route. I was ready to book the service despite the higher cost. Minutes late, Craig sends me an email that the cost is actually even more than that (about 35% what I had paid last year). I called Craig to have a brief conversation about any options that I may have, but he hung up the phone while in the middle of the conversation. Needless to say, I do not recommend their services due to their lack of professionalism. I will be taking my business somewhere else and I urge everyone else to do the same. read more

In addition communication wasn't consistent and I had to consistently follow up with the driver to check the status of when my car would be picked up. This company promised a pickup on a certain day and then totally ghosted. They don't answer the phone and their chats and emails are totally generic robo generated. No customer service. The generic messages say that they are trying to find someone to ship your car--what??? They say that when you sign the agreement for pickup, that document says the dates are approximate. The salesperson doesn't mention that and the booking confirmation doesn't either. Very shady. I got a call 2 days later than the scheduled pickup date saying that someone could get the car the next day. However, I needed the date they agreed upon because I was moving across country! If they had said that they couldn't do it or that the date was not certain, I would have gone with another company (see below). I would give them minus stars if I could! Don't be fooled with their promises of a lower price. Car shipping is by bids so if roadrunner offers the shippers a low price, they may not get a carrier to accept that bid. So there you are--you need to move but no one will do it. I contacted shipacar direct and they got my car picked up the next day. They are honest and reliable. Work with them!! read more

Everything went as planned up to delivery confirmation. Requested a delivery of 5/29, 5/30 or 5/31. When the confirmation info was emailed to me they listed 6/2. My daughter started a new job across the country without a car. When I inquired about the 6/2 date since it differed was told it was an "estimate." As others stated this company lacks customer service. The employees do not care. I have no idea where the car is and my daughter has another day of work tomorrow without a vehicle. We were told yesterday it would arrive today (6/2) and driver would call us 2-3 hours before arriving. I called the phone number of the person who I thought picked up car and could not understand what he was saying - heard office is closed. In retrospect wish I would have used another company. Never contract this company. I had put in a quote 2 months ahead of time to have my vehicle shipped. They did not assign a carrier until the day of and blamed the hired third party saying they were experiencing delays. They never provide the contact information of the carrier and they will never give you a set timeframe during a set day. They also do not communicate effectively with the carriers they hire. Due to this my wife and I had to fly from Texas back to California to drive my car after we had already driven our other car halfway across the country. We attempted many times to reschedule our pick up date to no success. Attempting to contact this company will take you various hours of the day to get a hold of someone. The day of my pick up I had still not been dispatched to a driver and nobody would reply to me. I made my reservation a month and a half in advance and was promised that they could pick it up on an exact day so I traveled from Canada to Washington for the sole purpose of transporting my car only and this company DID NOT DELIVER! They don't communicate well to the drivers either. We did the usual - looked up auto transport companies. Give out your name and phone and email...click! Then come dozens of calls and emails and texts, immediately. How do you know whom to pick? I went with my gut, and also every contact with this company was reassuring, professional, and clear. I tentatively placed my order, an SUV from California to Illinois, and the total was under most others I received. They were prompt and ready, but not pushy, and said they could ship almost as soon as I decided. Decision made, take the chance, and they picked up the car the next day, and it was delivered to us a day before they said, only 3 days later - 2,100 miles. Excellent communication throughout the whole experience, all questions answered, professional service and courtesy, and everything I would hope to want or expect in dealing with any business. Oh, and the online chat is also useless / not working. So they have no problem taking the money, it's executing what they were contracted to do that's the problem. My experience with this company was absolutely awful. I booked with this company to pick up my car on Thursday, and the company told me to expect my car to be delivered on Monday or Tuesday. I called Roadrunner auto transport at 2:00 pm on Thursday concerned because I had not heard from the driver yet and my car was not picked up. When I called the company, the roadrunner auto transport representative told me that my car was still scheduled to be picked up that day and to expect the driver to pick up my vehicle by 9:00 pm. However, by 9:00 pm the car was not picked up nor had I heard from anyone with some kind of update. I then called one click auto shop (whom roadrunner auto transport arranged to pick up my vehicle and since roadrunner was now closed), and finally got the driver's name and contacted him that evening asking where he was. The driver told me that he would pick up my car on Friday instead (which was not the agreement). Thus, I had to rearrange my schedule to be present for the driver to pick up my car Friday instead. To make matters worse, instead of my car being delivered on Monday or Tuesday like Roadrunner Auto Transport had told me, I get a call on Saturday night from the driver saying that he was delivering my car that evening. I had to arrange for a family friend to pick up my vehicle since I was out of town and the driver was there two days earlier than when I was told to expect my vehicle to be delivered. I will never transport my vehicle with Roadrunner Auto Transport again, and I do not recommend that anyone use them to transport a vehicle. They will book your vehicle pickup and delivery but just know that they will not honor the agreement as you are on the driver's schedule. And they will not honor your time nor do they care if you have to rearrange your schedule to accommodate pickup and delivery outside of the booking slot that you schedule and pay for. read more
