I was talking to an agent on the phone to schedule my vehicle. While I was explaining to him that I didn't want to give him my credit card information at that moment since I was still researching other companies, he hung up on me suddenly. I am appalled at the audacity and disrespectful attitude. read more

Absolute SCAM!!! Beware!!!! They give you a low quote to lure you in, and is very accommodating at first. Then they take your money and credit card info and never pick up your car or respond to any calls or emails. Completely unacceptable. Only gave one star cause I had to in order to post this review which is also ridiculous. read more

Needed to change the date, called customer service, among other numbers, for 2 days. No one answers the phone, not even a voicemail option. Just left with music playing for over an hour each time I called. They'll probably charge me a cancellation fee too. They called me immediately after I inquired about a quote, after that, I paid and they disappeared read more

Everything was going well until my car wasn't delivered when they said it would be. It was supposed to be delivered on the 14th. On the 14th I called them multiple times and they told me the driver would contact me an hour or so before they delivered it. Friday passed with no call. I called Roadrunner back on Saturday. They couldn't get a hold of the company that was actually transporting my car. When I asked to speak to a manager no one was available. Then Sunday passes. Now it is Monday. I called and the lady, Gabby, said they still haven't heard from the company. I asked to speak to a manager she said she couldn't transfer me, and that the manager will call me back in the order of the queue. Looking at the other reviews the manager mostly likely is talking to a lot of people wondering where the hell their vehicles are. My problem isn't that my vehicle is behind schedule. It is that they have no idea that my car is behind schedule or where it is. I had to notify them that my car wasn't delivered instead of the other way around. If I knew that my car isn't going to be delivered when it was supposed to I can make plans around it. If I have no idea that my car isn't going to be delivered when said I can't plan around that. Then for them to cop an attitude when I call expressing this is really unprofessional. I don't know how they run a business like this. Communication is key and when you don't have that you will get a lot of pissed off customers, myself included. I still haven't heard back from the manager as I write this. Nor do I know anything about where my car is or when it will be delivered. Their motto should We will deliver your car when it gets there. If you expect updates you're stupid! read more

My experience with Roadrunner was not pleasant. First, Roadrunner told me the date of my vehicle pick-up, but it was up to the company they contracted with to tell me the time. At 1045 AM on the day of pick-up, the company let me know they would be there between 5-6 PM. The driver notified me at 6 PM he would be an hour and a half late. He showed up at 745 PM. Not impressed so far. The driver did not speak English. Also not okay. I signed for the pick-up with a delivery by 9 PM the following day. My vehicle did not arrive until 5 days later, allegedly due to a vehicle breakdown which I only found out about because I reached out to them to see where my vehicle was at 10 PM the day it was originally to be delivered. I contacted Nicholas with Roadrunner and left a message to file a formal complaint on day 4 of my vehicle shipment. He never returned my call. For the extra costs Roadrunner charges and the poor service received, I would never use them again. Save some money and use another reputable carrier! read more

When the price they originally stated was not the price the day of pick up - this is the response you receive. The last line is exactly how I feel they did treat me. I was quoted 1 thing and it was more at the very last moment because a carrier didn't want to ship at the price that I was quoted. So needles to say, it was too late to shop around. It's how they get you by the "b@ll$" "The pricing you received via our instant quote generator is an algorithm that creates a quote based off of mileage and vehicle type. We are a nationwide company so that is 42,000 zip codes combined with all the different vehicle types. This creates billions of combinations with carrier pay changing every 2-3 weeks on certain routes. Everyone you will speak to, including us, are brokers. So we do not control the pricing, the drivers that work for us do. We have to confirm the estimate based off their current asking price on the route. A lot of companies will be happy to book you at the estimate or a lower rate, and if and when they cannot get a trucking company to accept the load, they raise the price AFTER the booking. We do not do that. This is why we confirm all of our pricing live." read more

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. DO NOT USE Roadrunner has lots of five-star reviews. They sound reliable. So I booked with them and gave them my credit card. I even paid an extra $95.00 so that there was no insurance deductible. I never got any information from Roadrunner about who would be delivering my car. Last night I got a phone call from a driver who was apparently assigned to ship my car. He seemed aware of the details of my booking. He told me he couldn't ship my car for that price. He wanted me to pay $100 more. I said, "That's extortion. Please cancel my booking! I soon got an email from Roadrunner confirming the cancellation. I tried to reach the company but I would get stuck on hold and then they would hang up. Their contract says if I cancel they can still charge me a $135.00 cancellation fee. Today I called back. I spoke to Pam. She said my booking was cancelled. She said I was not charged. I told her I had booked with another company. (Montway.) She said when they come to pick up my car, they will ask me for more money. Montway is often used by people in the military. Better Homes and Gardens recommends them. I'm pretty sure they won't ask me for more money. They also said that every carrier is required to carry $100,000 in insurance per car, so the $95.00 fee was just a way to charge extra money. (I don't know if there is a deductible on the insurance.) Montway verified the name and phone number of the person who will be accepting my car. They agreed that they would let him know ahead of time when the car would be arriving so he could plan to be there to receive it. Roadrunner had put the name and phone number of that person on the list with my phone number, without any instructions to notify him ahead of time. So glad Roadrunner will not be shipping my car! read more

The worst auto transport experience we could imagine. We discuss having our new truck transported from Orange CA to Northern AZ about 325 miles. We were quoted a price, told it was a 1 day trip and then emailed a map of the direct route as well as date of pickup and delivery. Dealer advised when it was picked up so we followed the time line then waited for several hours followed by a no-show. We then had to contact the dealer to get the telephone for the carrier. When we called he said he was busy delivering vehicles to northern Nevada and that he had left our truck in Las Vegas... needless to say we were very distressed. This went on for several days until the carrier had time to meet us at another location. These guys are Big Liars who take your money then do not answer your call when there is a problem. DO not use this awful company! read more

I wish I could give them zero stars. They blow up your phone before you book but once you book you never hear from them and are unable to get in contact with anyone through their 3 different numbers. My car was supposed to get picked up on Saturday and I received 4 different email confirmations that the shipment would be on time. No one ever came. It's now Monday and I had to rebook with a different shipping service. Do not waste your time with this company. read more

had a vehicle delivered from the East Coast to the West Coast roadrunner gives you one date and then the carrier changes the date over and over this is a highly dishonest company that should go out of business. My son waited for two days and got fired from his job. as soon as the job is booked, it goes to a incompetent carrier of degenerates that do not communicate at all. roadrunner should represent you from the time that they book the job and tell the car or vehicle is delivered. It's like they handed off and then they aren't responsible anymore. That is highly unprofessional and leaves room for incompetence. No one is accountable. Beware do not use them. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY I waited for Roadrunner Auto pick up my car which never happened but they took my money and as a result, I missed my flight out of state that was scheduled for the same day. Called the next day to find what was going on only to be placed on a 1 hr. hold. I used another phone to try to speak with someone, when they finally answered the phone, they hung up on me. Awful company. Do not use, you will be SORRY!!!! read more

Would give zero stars if possible. Got charged full amount when requesting quote. Tried to cancel a month before the scheduled pickup date. They intentionally ignored my requests to cancel. Even when you reach out to the individual extensions, when you say you want to cancel, they will put you on an infinite hold. They won't reply to voicemails or emails and won't pickup the phone for 45+ minutes. Filed numerous complaints but am scared they have my credit card information. Fell victim to seemingly fake reviews on their website when I should've noted the less than 2 star reviews everywhere legit. read more

I have been trying to cancel my shipping by calling several times for the last week and nobody ever answers the phone. Finally, I called and selected the option for a new quote and spoke to someone and explained that I need to cancel, the person said they would send the appropriate team a message. 2 days later I got a text confirming my pick-up. I replied to that message to please cancel. Horrible customer service. Going to bank to cancel credit card today. Thanks Roadrunner read more

I started getting calls from them when I requested a quote to ship my car. At first, the person was very helpful with explaining how the process works and I let them know that I would be continuing to shop around and compare prices. I did find a company that was just as polite and offered me a lower quote, so when they called me again I told them that I had been given a lower quote. The tone then became very condescending and they basically told me to "enjoy getting scammed". Extremely unprofessional and awkward. I would not trust this company to send a letter much less a car after hearing them behave like a rejected middle school boy. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This company is horrible to work with. Customer service is virtually non-existent. They quoted me one price and then right before pickup they upped the price $250. The hauler then damaged my car and they denied the claim for a multitude of ridiculous excuses. One of the most unethical companies I've had to work with. RUN away from them! read more

This is a classic case of bait-and-switch! They quote you one price but then charge over 20% more than the quoted price. I contracted with Roadrunner three weeks before I needed the car picked up. Two days before the pick-up date they called with a carrier. The representative said to me "oh and I need to tell you that the cost to ship is a little bit higher than the original price quoted". It was almost $150 more!!!! That is NOT a "little bit". Since they waited until two days before the pickup date to tell me this, I had no choice to pay it because the car had to go. I tried using online chat and calling after two weeks of not hearing from them. The chat didn't work and when I called, I was never able to get in touch with anyone (eternal hold). read more

I initially chose RoadRunner Auto Transport based on a recommendation and high rating, expecting a seamless and efficient process for transporting my vehicle. Unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. The pick-up of my vehicle has been rescheduled not once, not twice, but three times on three different days with no carrier pick-up in sight. This has caused a significant inconvenience, as I had planned my schedule around the initial pick-up date provided by your company. The fact that this process has been ongoing for over a week is unacceptable, and I am appalled by the lack of professionalism and reliability demonstrated by RoadRunner Auto Transport and its affiliates. As a customer who trusted your services based on positive reviews and recommendations, I feel utterly let down. This experience has been a complete waste of time and energy, and I am left wondering why I chose your company in the first place. I want to make it clear that I will NEVER use RoadRunner Auto Transport again. There are plenty of other reputable companies in the market that prioritize customer satisfaction and uphold their commitments. I sincerely hope that my feedback serves as a wake-up call for your organization to address the issues in your scheduling and customer service processes. It is disheartening to see a company with a supposedly high rating fall so short of customer expectations. I expect a prompt full refund (since I was already charged) for the repeated rescheduling of my vehicle pick-up and no service provided. I think I have been more than understanding and patient, but that has finally run out. Thanks but no thanks. read more

I chose this company for its reviews and pricing. Ordered a slot for enclosed vehicle transport. All was great, able to get a vehicle shipped within my time frame. LAST MINUTE, they called, clearly reading from a written script, that if would cost an additional $300.00. No realistic reason given, just kept reading the same script over and over. Feel the website dupes you into using them because if their pricing etc, then rip you off, especially when they know you have a specific window necessary...disappointed, but car got there o.k. read more

THESE GUYS ARE WILL SCAM YOU! I paid top dollar to have my out-of-state car to be delivered. It was a day late (no biggie), but they made me drive 40 minutes away to pick it up. Their reasoning, their was too much traffic and the DTLA address would make it difficult to deliver. Uhhhhh... it was 2pm on a weekday and if they did just a touch more research, they would have found the DTLA address was on the outskirts and accommodates semi-trucks without issue. What pissed me off the most... I had to drive the car back ILLEGALLY... without plates, registration, nothing! When I called to complain, they essentially said we can't help you because the contract states no refunds no adjustments. PLEASE DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!!! read more

Promised pick up was Sunday, November 10. We adjusted our plans to return early from an out-of-town trip and had the car prepared for pick up. Never received a call or text. Nothing. Tried to phone the car carrier and listened to music for 15 minutes on hold. No one answered. Still awaiting an answer or any form of contact. Lesson learned. read more

Not sure what I paid for. Everything we specified was changed. Set the pickup date to Sunday and it was picked up on a Monday, was told it would deliver in 5-7 days and the carrier told us 7-9 days, was quoted 1100 and they charged 1365, and was never made aware of the overweight fee and they charged me additional $175. I would never use this service again as there were no guarantees made and all they did was up charge me. Better off going direct to a carrier. read more

Difficult to get ahold but finally got through ans they canceled reservation. That part was easy. Just had to call daily.

I scheduled a vehicle pick up and transport for a specific window of time while making a move. the pick up was scheduled, confirmed and my credit card was charged. The morning of the pick up I received a text saying I would be contacted with a 2 to 3 window. the pick up never happened, I was not contacted. I tried to call roadrunner at least thirty times without success. I left many messages with my contact person (who has still yet to return my calls) 5 days later, I finally got someone to answer the phone, while explaining my issue I was placed on hold and subsequently cut off. did not get a call back until the next day don't use Roadrunner Trasport worst experience with a company in my sixty years!!!!! read more

I recently had to ship my daughters car from Alabama to Minneapolis. After doing my homework and reading various review I chose RoadRunner Transport. Industry reviews warned me of hidden fees and quotes that upon pickup essentially demanded ransom money (we quoted you $800 but upon pickup we need $1,100, etc). I chose RoadRunner after multiple conversations assuring me that $1,095 would be my FINAL price. No hidden fees, ransom money, etc. They also assured me it would be pick up within a day or two or the requested date. I booked a May 3rd pickup for $1,095 and even have text msgs and emails saying "final price $1,095". After I called 4 times they FINALLY picked it up a WEEK later on May 10th BUT said the cost would now be $1,450. I pushed back multiple times to no avail. The last blow was a fine if I chose to cancel. I chose RoadRunner b/c of the horror stories I found doing my homework and sadly they nailed ALL of them. Excess ransom money, fines, and a late pickup. I would be very wary of using them to transport my vehicle, just terrible service, lack of communication, a week late on pick up and excess fees including ransom money within hours of picking up my daughters vehicle. read more

John, Thank you for your prompt response. I completely understand that transportation delays can happen. The problems I need addressed are: (1) The lack of communication of such delays between me (the customer) and RoadRunner Auto Transport. The transport truck was to have delivered the vehicle on Saturday, but the truck had mechanical issues. Instead, it was delivered on Monday afternoon. Not one time did RoadRunner Auto Transport answer any calls that I directed to the customer service number. Nor did the salesperson, Rob Aiola, return any of my calls as to the status of the vehicle. (2) In addition, I have requested a receipt for my pickup and deliver...still nothing! Perhaps, you can reach out to me to take care of that issue??? read more

So, im going to leave the final update for this review. The guys who came to drop off my car were actually really nice. It was dropped off Saturday at about 12am. It did have a few small dents that weren't there before and a little bit of dirt from being transported but after taking it to a mechanic and getting a 12 point inspection, the car was in good running condition. They gave me a good scare when they tried to back the car off of the truck and diddnt turn off the E break. But after that we had a good laugh. I did still remove stars for confusion and mix up of the paperwork but my car is now here and unharmed. I'm not worried about a few extremely small tcosmetic issues and can defiantly wash the dirt off. If you use this company do expect delays and have a hose and a bucket/soap ready the day of delivery to wash the dirt off of your car. read more

RoadRunner Auto Transport - Vehicle Shipping Near Me - Bethpage, New York

RoadRunner Auto Transport of Sacramento, CA is a scam. They are a broker company not a transport company , they have mis-represented, triple billed, failed to complete a contract, failed to answer their phones, breached contract, and will extort fees by raising the price AFTER an agreement has been made (and not yet completed). After three attempts to have a vehicle tranpsported from California to Utah by three different transport companies I have concluded: Do NOT do business with ANY company in the failed State of California (Especially RoadRunner Auto Transport of Sacramento). Personally I do not understand how any perwson in ther right mid could want to live there. I will supply details and documentation if requested. read more

When I initially hired these people to transport a 2023 Range Rover they seemed like they had it together. HOWEVER, that is how they hooked me in. People answered the phone right away to take my payment and offered insurance, received the confirmation email....and this is where 3 days of hell and frustration begins. Day one allegedly vehicle was scheduled for pick up April 13 and if course no call and no one to talk to. I read the reviews about them blocking your number, but as a business owner myself I figured this could not be, they have to be better than that. Low and behold the reviews are 100 percent correct, they will block your number and throw you into a 1 hour hold time just to end up in a voicemail of no returned calls. April 14 allegedly vehicle is being picked up, not a word not a peep from this company. They have already charged my credit card and I call and call and nothing. No one to assist you. Not a peep. April 15, I call dispatch center by finding a number online and say I have been waiting 2 days for pick with nothing and zero communication, agent assures me a phone call after they speak with the driver that was at 8am and now as I write this it's 5pm. No response and no communication from anyone. Of course now they are closed! Shocking. I can 100 percent appreciate and respect delays, but at the very least inform your customer as what is going on. To leave waiting at home is just a complete disrespect of your time and as a client. Shame on them. I still have no clue when this car will be picked up. Bottom line, believe the reviews. I wanted to give this company the benefit of the doubt. Go elsewhere with a better reputation if you don't want to be very upset with the entire process. I'll update this with a grand finale. Stay tuned but don't hold your breath..... UPDATE: Thought I would give you the resolution here. The only way I heard back was having to go to the BBB and telling the company via email I was feeling defrauded at this point. They responded right away with a refund and so resolved my case. It's unfortunate I had to do they just to get a response. I hope this helps anyone in the future. Team Road Runner I wish you the best and hope your customer service experience get better. A phone call with communication goes a long way. read more

There is a reason this company has a meager 1.5 stars. I made a reservation online, received a quote and was waiting to hear back about my ride confirmation. Once they found a driver, they called me and told me the cost was going to increase by $200. I asked why the price was so inflated based on my original estimate and he said because they hadn't updated their route prices online in a while. This should NOT be my problem! On top of that, when I told him I wanted to cancel the reservation he was so condescending telling me that this is a services industry business and I'll never find a better rate, that I might as well just drive my own car down. What kind of salesman influence tactic is this? This is even more of a reason not to utilize your services!! Clearly this company's views on customer service are incredibly skewed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. DEAL WITH A COMPANY THAT ACTUALLY TRAINS THEIR PEOPLE TO CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER! GLADLY TAKING MY DOLLARS ELSEWHERE. read more

Do NOT book with this company! I booked 3 months ahead of time and called them repeatedly to assure my car would get picked up on time and that the price I agreed on was guaranteed... every time I called they gave me a generic response such as "yes you are a very valued customer!" The date to pick our car up came and went and no one was assigned to our route and road runner didn't call. We called them and it seemed like they forgot about us and we're very unprofessional. When they finally assigned a driver (5 days later) they charged me $1000 over asking. I already began my cross country move at this point and had to coordinate with family members to have my car picked up. At this point I had no choice but to pay the extra $1000. I moved cross country by driving my two cats over 3000 miles and towed all of my belongings behind me... and yet the most stressful part of the move was dealing with Road Runner auto transport. read more
