Avoid at all costs. They make many promises but once you sign on with them they have poor communication and get openly irritated when you try to ask questions. They canceled my original contract with them then raised the price on me. Delayed me for 2 weeks until I finally canceled and used another company. These people are very predatory. read more

If zero stars were allowed... that's what they would get, maybe even negative. My family is moving out of state. We arranged to have our car transported a month ahead of time. Today was our supposed pick up day... we had called to confirm it last week and were assured that the carrier would be assigned yesterday at the latest. Last night we still had no carrier and tried to call to confirm, only to receive a message that "due to high call volume we should call back" another time or try their online chat service. I did try their online service to see no available agents. woke up this morning to still no carrier. when we contacted Roadrunner we were told they would open a ticket and get back to us in 24 to 48 hours And thats all they could do. Denae (online support) was pretty unsympathetic and cut the conversation short when I reiterated how unacceptable all this was. read more

Absolutely, positively, the WORST company to ship your vehicle. Zero communication, no customer service, overpriced, and they do not care about their customers. I needed my car shipped from a port to my house and they quickly took me as a customer. That's when the communication stopped. They never set up a carrier, but they still took my money without warning. When I emailed to ask about it, I never received a response. I called over 50 times in two day, left voicemails, and sat on hold for over an hour total. Whatever you do, DO NOT use this company. I'd rather pay a guy off the street. read more

This company is terrible. They have poor customer service, if you do get to speak with someone, expect to be on hold for at least 30 minutes. Then their only response is, that you should have read the fine print in the agreement. They don't do anything close to their quote. Don't show up on the day quoted. Called a week later of quoted scheduled pickup to set up the pickup, but, now the price was almost double. Don't waste your time with this sham of a company. I have no idea how they stay in business. Run away as fast as possible. read more

While the actual transport of my car was clean and timely, I feel like the pricing (actual vs the written quote) is a bait and switch. I got a written quote (via email) for $545 to transport my car from Santa Rosa CA. to Reno, NV. When the final arrangements and scheduling were done over the phone I was told that due to the lack of traffic on my route the price would be $715. I can almost understand a small variation from the quote but a $170 (31%) increase is simply not right. Because of the timing, two days before the move, I had to accept it or risk a further and costly delay. So beware, the quote you get may not be the final price. read more

One Star because zero isn't an option. Told a rep I'm Not paying $1200 to have a car shipped 600 miles. That's $2 a mile. I told Michael the representative I expected $1.15 a mile. They just hung up on me. I can see why they have terrible reviews now.choose someone else. read more

I was nervous with all the ONE STAR reviews however, my experience was very different. I called on Monday for pickup on Thursday from Houston to Orlando. My transport was assigned to Five Star Auto Carriers. Angel arrived in the late morning on Thursday to pick up my car and was given a delivery estimate of Monday. My car arrived before noon on Saturday! Angel also called me daily to update me on the ETA and the final time when he was 30 minutes away. My car arrived in perfect condition! This is by far one of the worst transport companies I have ever dealt with. My car was supposed to be picked up on the tuesday. The sunday before I got an email saying everything was on time there had been no delays and I was i'm going to be picked up on tuesday as scheduled. I lost an entire day of pay to make this transaction happen and then I get a call at 9:00am the day of to tell me that no one would be coming until tomorrow. I was told they would be there. The wednesday at 11am. I was at the pickup spot, no one showed up. I got a call at eleven thirty saying the guy would not be here until 6pm. Went back to the meet up spot at 6pm still no show. I received a message at 6:30pm that he would not be here until 8pm. When you try to call the dispatcher to get some clarity on what's going on, they do not answer the phone and they choose when to answer your text messages. Just an awful experience. read more

I reached out to Road Runner on the phone after an auto transport company stood me up one day before my move. I wanted to speak to someone to ensure the car would be picked up asap as we are moving. I was assured and I was charged. Well, here we are at 7pm on the night of my move and now these guys stood me up. No communication at all. Second company in a row to stand me up. I know they will surely respond with their typical "we have 48 hours after estimated pick up date to pick up the car". This is why I called to verify it would be picked up today. If you are moving, or have a deadline, absolutely 100% do not trust Road Runner. If you have the time to waste and don't value yours too much, then give it a shot. read more

I booked my car to be shipped with Road Runner Transport. Jonathan Garcia was great in the beginning. He said if I ever had questions or concerns to call him. Once I signed up to have the car shipped, I never heard from him again even though I made many calls to his voicemail.Vladimir. That said, I was scheduled to have my car shipped on November 8. I left ahead of my car and left it at a neighbors. Needless to say I was concerned that it may not be picked up. Anyway, Vladimir texted me a few hours before the actual pickup, took pictures of my vehicle and said it was on the truck. It was supposed to get to SC on November 13. He called me on the 11th and said it would be there the next day. He then texted me about an hour before he would get to our meeting point at Lowe's. I got there before he did. When he arrived, he said it would take about 20 minutes to unload it. He was AMAZING!! It was fun to watch how he maneuvered the cars to get to mine. I can't say enough really great things about this gentleman. I did notice though, that the paper work was through a company called Viva Express, Inc. I don't know if Road Runner Transport out sourced it but I was very very happy with the outcome. Again, Vladimir you are the very very best! Thank you for taking such good care of my car and for keeping me informed every step of the way. read more

Anthony treated me very rudely when I received a call back for an online quote. He became aggressive once I mentioned I was waiting on other quotes and asked why it would take so long since their quote is instantaneous. Which by the way was not correct, $1245 on the initial email but $1351 when he called. Providing incorrect estimates will probably increase the speed at which they are generated. He asked why I was shopping around and was price a concern. I said, of course, I would like the best price. He became condescending and frustrated and abruptly hung up. I called back and advised of the events that transpired with Anthony I also mentioned that I was leaning towards Road Runner but waiting for other quotes when the representative started questioning me why I didn't then and started getting agitated. I asked him to calm down as I am the customer and shouldn't be treated this way but was hung up on again. I tried calling a few more times to talk to a supervisor but was harassed and hung upon. To roadrunner, I'm sure there will be some story of why or how I was being aggressive called multiple times asking for a supervisor and that is fine. But if you are going to refute, I will ask you to attach the calls if they are recorded. I was lucky that I didn't give these people my car. Stay away from roadrunner and especially Anthony. read more

If you are reading this-- please save yourself the torture and just DRIVE YOUR CAR TO YOUR DESTINATION. I will never use a shipping company again after my experience with RoadRunner. If I wrote a full review of the unprofessionalism and lack of accountability by this company and their contracted carrier Max Auto Transport, we'd be here forever, so instead I'll share with you what I shared with the Better Business Bureau: "I will never recommend this company to anyone. They deserve zero stars. Multiple phone calls, attempts at connecting with them after our car was picked up...they either keep you on hold forever, hang up on you, or pass you around from agent to agent, who keeps saying that they are the wrong person & someone else will help you. Before signing the contract, we spoke extensively with Road Runner about our needs & we were guaranteed by them certain details of our pick up & drop off of our vehicle. Our vehicle ended up arriving two days late, with the carrier contracted by Road Runner (my understanding is their name is Max Auto Transport, based out of IL) being incredibly rude & difficult to communicate with. We contacted Road Runner about the issues and how our car was originally dropped off in the wrong city (it was left in Huntley, IL on Wednesday instead of being delivered to Chicago) and Road Runner said it is between us and the carrier...WHAT?! We paid Road Runner and had a contract with them, they contracted the carrier. It shouldn't be our responsibility that they contracted out with a terrible carrier with horrible communication and lack of professionalism. When we'd go to the carrier with our concerns and try to locate our car, the carrier would say to take it up with Road Runner. It was clear that these two businesses handle their operations by just pointing the finger at each other, deflecting responsibility, & leaving it up to the paying customer to try to locate & obtain their vehicle. We had to constantly call & text the carrier to finally get answers as to where our car was. They kept changing the dates & times on us for delivery - every time we would express frustration & confusion, and how we had booked out our calendars for this, the dispatcher Max would lose his temper. My final interaction with him was him calling my phone, me picking up, & him screaming at me. They were incredibly unprofessional & unreasonable. Thank God we got our car back." read more

I was supposed to have a vehicle picked up 6/3/2024 and received an email to confirm the pick up. I called the phone number provided and waited over an hour but no one answered. I left several voicemails and after another hour of waiting on the phone eventually spoke with someone. They just gave me the number to a subcontractor Union Five LLC. I attempted to call this number and again waited for almost an hour but could only leave a voicemail, ironically they both use the same answering service. Hmm... Literally tried to rip me off for another $950 after they didn't show up to pick up my vehicle. Took 4 days to get a contact from them after the no show and told me because I was putting a rush on it "after they didn't show" and that was the reason for the additional amount. Please do not use this company. Once I had agreed to the quote for transport they called 36 hours before pick up and increased the price. Pure SCAM artists. Pretty much everything they stated at the time of booking turned out to be a LIE. They will wait till the day of scheduled pick up although they had two weeks, to start looking for a driver and increase your rate by 50%. Once they assigned you a driver it will not show up at scheduled day. They will not transfer any notes to the driver you gave them for delivery. You will not get your car at scheduled time or place so you will pay additional 50% to store your car somewhere else. Once you pay there is NO chance to reach them about anything. AVOID them at All COST and you will save yourself a lot of money, energy and time or be prepared to pay DOUBLE the quote and be faced with lots of UNCERTAINTY about you car! Dec 27, 2023 I received a quote from Roadrunner, that day, an Incoming call (broker) Anthony G. stated and verified the quote would be the price. "Nothing else would be added & no hidden fees." (.70 -1.00 per mile according to their policy are normal charges) On January 9, 2024, I was billed $150 more then quoted. Three weeks were given to pick up on 1/12/24 with a two day delivery. What actually happened was: RoadRunner never notified me of pick up or delivery. (all communication for pick up and delivery with the company they assigned was handled by me). Online states you can track your vehicle that is not true, the website only displays inaccurate dates of estimated pick up and delivery throughout the entire transportation. The car was picked up two days after the agreed day 1/14/24 delivered 1/16/24. Once my Credit card was charged no one was available for a call or an email. I should have read reviews. I booked this company to transport an in-operable vehicle from where my son was (after graduation - didn't need the car anymore) to our own mechanic.... over 200 miles. We want to see what the cost would be to get it road-worthy and only trust our own mechanic. I did some research and found this company. I spoke with 2 different agents: Kristian and Bruce. Both were very nice, personable, re-assuring, and patient. I had a ton of questions and they both answered them all with professionalism... that's where it ended. I was told it would be picked up on 2/21 and delivered on 2/22 at the latest... WRONG! They picked up on 2/22 and delivered on 2/22 ... AFTER my mechanic's shop closed... and was told initially they would most definitely be there during business hours. Their online "tracker" is absolute CRAP! All day it kept saying pickup was pending... even after I heard from the driver (finally!) saying he had the car and was about 2 hours away. As of midnight on 2/22 it STILL said pending! The online agent, Alexis, was 100% useless as well. After I asked a few questions, she shut down the chat and I was not able to create a new session. I made several phone calls to both Kristian and Bruce... left numerous messages and sent a few emails.... NO RESPONSE! NO call back! This company's customer service absolutely SUCKS! The only positive thing I can say is about the driver. He was 100% professional and very helpful. DO NOT waste your money! There are dozens of auto transport companies out there. And, I bet their customer service is 1,000,000 times better. The MINUTE they have your money, they absolutely DISAPPEAR! Yes, they picked up and delivered my vehicle... which means they kept to their contract. But, trust me.... there is something to be said for professional customer service... which this company has absolutely NONE! I would have recommended them IF I had been treated with respect. read more

I am a small dealer in Washington State. I have used single car transport services for 25 years. This was the worst experience I have ever had. 1. They missed the promised pickup day by 24 hours. 4. I spent over 1.5 hours on hold trying to get some answers. 5. They called me back and asked for a 5 star review. If I could give zero stars I would. They contact you right away, meet your accommodations as expected. My car was supposed to picked up 10/23 - they stated I would receive a phone call the day prior to confirm a pickup window. Great, as this is very much needed in the midst of moving across country. The day prior, no phone call. The day of, no phone call. A day later, no phone call. The representative who contacted me was MIA. I had then readjust all my travel plans, and find a new carrier. When they found out I cancelled my service, they didn't even question why or ask for any details as to what went wrong, how they could have done a better job or explain to me the situation. I went with American Auto Transport - who picked up my car on a days notice, explained to me everything and the best part... was contacted and updated along the entire process. This is a "volume by numbers" company - as they paid extreme amounts for SEO, first results on web searches, etc. Churn and burn shop, stay away. Will never use or recommend them read more

I'm in the middle of a transport transaction right now and will agree with others who say, "once they take your deposit", communication disappears. When I submitted quote, I got a call back from someone (Anthony) who continuously talked over me and rushed me into booking with them, explaining that other companies are bait an switch will rip me off. Now, I'm having a problem, with the carrier who promised to pick up on 8/27 and failed because they are stuck trying to drop off another car and the customer does not have the money to pay. Carrier barely speaks english and cannot give an update to when they will pick up my truck from the person I purchased it from. This is an inconvenience for the seller on the other side and he seems ok, as long as they provide an update as to when they will arrive. They are not communicating at all. So I have called and emailed Roadrunner leaving messages to get some assistance to get communication from the carrier and they are not picking up or returning calls. Before they had my money they called back or picked up very quickly. Now, the person I purchased the truck from is getting emails from other transport companies not listed on the contract. I understand that delays can occur in this business, but if you don't keep your customer informed on what's going on, you will lose my trust. read more
