I went into Aggieland Chevrolet excited and ready to purchase a vehicle. After owning my previous…read morecar for over twelve years, I was genuinely looking forward to this experience and expected to drive off the lot in a new vehicle. Instead, I left crying and completely broken. This was, by far, the worst experience I have ever had purchasing anything. The main issue was my interaction with Steven, the Finance Director. He was rude, condescending, and dismissive from the beginning. I qualified for a first responder discount, yet he refused to honor it. When I asked to speak with his supervisor, he initially refused and stated that he was the boss and that his only boss was his wife. After continued insistence, he eventually agreed to bring over his manager, but not before telling us that we could "just go" and that we were not getting a car from them with a smirk on his face and that there's several other dealerships around. At that point, the damage was already done. The manager did apologize for Steven's behavior and attempted to smooth things over, but the experience had already left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. No customer, especially one ready to make a purchase, should ever be treated this way. Steven should not be interacting with customers at all. Because of this experience, I will never return to Aggieland Chevrolet and will not recommend this dealership to anyone.

I had no complaints regarding the sales part of the experience, although afterward, I received no response to a question emailed to my salesperson. But the real. unpleasantness began when I walked into the office of the finance person. I wasn't given any greeting by Lucas. And we'd never met before so I was taken aback when the first thing he said was "well, are you going to keep this one longer than two years?" (my trade in was a 2024). It was not a joke. In fact, he was completely silent throughout the approximately 6 minutes I was in his office, except for the recitation of the extended warranty which he did not sell me. Likewise, when the transaction was completed, there was no handshake, no pretense of courtesy. Just rude silence. Maybe that is the way he treats all female senior citizens. A day later, I ordered a cargo shade for my new vehicle and when I went to pick it up, I got the same treatment at the parts department. No greeting, no offer to help me carry a rather large box out to my car. I've learned my lesson. I will not return to this dealership. I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 because of a satisfactory sales experience.

By the next evening (April 8th), I realized the AC didn't blow cold air unless I was driving. The dealership was closed, so I returned first thing on April 9th and spoke with C, the salesperson who sold me the car. He got with the mechanic the next day and told me to make an appointment. They kept my car from that appointment until April 23rd, trying to fix the AC. When I got it back, the issue still wasn't fixed. I returned on April 24th, and even though B initially gave me pushback, they agreed to look at it again. Keep in mind--I had barely driven the car at all, only to and from the dealership. On May 7th, I finally got the car back. Then on May 11th, the dashboard lights came on. I brought it in again, and they told me, "We're a Kia dealership. We don't know how to work on Hondas." They told me I'd have to take it to a Honda dealership and pay out of pocket--after I already paid a $7,000 down payment on a $22,000 car. I don't know much about cars or mileage. I trusted the dealership to sell me a reliable vehicle and to thoroughly inspect it. But now I'm stuck with car issues immediately after purchase and expected to cover repairs. I do have a warranty, but I still have to pay a deposit to use it--on top of everything I've already paid. The economy is hard right now. I'm a single mom. I can't afford these surprise issues and repairs after barely driving the car. And to be told "oh well" is beyond upsetting. Honestly, this feels unethical. It's like they didn't even properly inspect the car before selling it. I feel completely taken advantage of, and I want accountability

I contacted the dealership's service department and Josh, the service advisor, stated that if I could get to the dealership before the service department closed, he would take care of me. He and the service manager were there to greet me and the tow truck. Josh arranged for me to have a free loaner car for the weekend so I could get to Conroe for the family wedding. Josh and Sterling Subaru took great care of me and my car. I was on my way back home to San Antonio first thing Monday morning. I can't thank Josh and Sterling Subaru for their great service.

Service personnel were at lunch, but Service Advisor Malachi politely and profesionally advised he would get it in and out as soon as he could. He projected a wait time of 1.5 hrs. It took exactly 1.5 hrs which I would have expected even with full staff available. I consider that fast service coupled with friendly interactions and conversations with several service advisors. Very clean restrooms and luxury waiting areas with remote controlled big screen tv with available streaming apps, coffee, loads of water and fresh bananis gratis.. Also replaced wipers I brought in while I checked out and changed out a rounded and flagged oil pan drain plug. They even washed the car. I'm very satisfied with the service. I oggled a hot looking, Aggie maroon Crosstrek Wilderness on the showroom floor too.
