I've had good and bad experiences here, yesterday was a bad one. The front desk lady is very sweet, this place is always busy but willing to fit you in. The men that work here consistently do an amazing job, I usually am unhappy when given anyone else sadly. Yesterday was the 2nd visit in a row they were "out" of black gel polish, the last visit I had to pick different colors also which is ODD. Nail artist had already started my fancy pedi massage with stones and wax prior to telling me they are out of black even though I mentioned it at the front and to the lady doing my nails which is why I didn't just up and leave for a different place. She tells me she is out of black and I let her know they were last time too and that I'm sad cause that is really all I like. I felt pressured to pick a different color again since she already started and had shown me multiple other colors she thought I'd like. When she goes to do my hands I say I am going to go elsewhere cause I really only like black and wow magically she found black... So my toes are white when I asked for black because she either didn't want to look for it or didn't think I should do black??? Just odd. Then she switched me to a different person to do my nails probs cause we both felt weird about how she told me there was no black and then there was definitely black available just after I wanted to take my business elsewhere. To make it all worse she didn't do the top coat on my toes well so the edges look yellow and the middle looks white... pedi for $81 you would think would give me the time required to put the top coat on correctly and give me the color I want not the one you like. read more

Walk in for Pedicure. Got seated immediately after picking my color. I chose the Deluxe Pedicure. I was looking forward to my first pedicure of the summer season. I was to get a scrub, paraffin wax dip, hot stone massage along with a regular nail filing trim and paint color. I skipped the hot stones. The entire thing with paint was over in 21 minutes. He RACED through. The timed 8 minute massage was split between both legs. Every other time it was for both legs and took almost an hour. The polish I chose was pretty bold but could be pretty but I have paint on my skin and cuticles. He didn't even clean it up. I paid 53 plus an 8 tip. Normally I tip $15. as a girl who's experienced big city, nail salons, they definitely have the same vibe. However, the quality of the work is terrible. I paid $140 for an acrylic nail fill, and a fill for my toes. The shaping for both the nails and hands were terrible. But I would have to say the toes were the worst. After hours of shaping I was able to do this. I had told him that I didn't like the shape nor the full color on my toenail. Yet he disagreed, and decided to do it his way. I debated whether or not to leave this review as I had been here once before for a gel manicure and they did a good enough job. However this time I went in and had a not so great experience. First of all, they charge $5 extra for a ROUND nail shape. Which is a VERY standard shape to get (and practically most people's natural shape) I've been to many salons and never had that upcharge. Second, I had a crack on one of my thumb nails, and the guy doing my nails saw it and asked if I wanted something stronger on it (powder). I asked if it cost more, and he said yes so I declined. He then brought it up again and before I could say no, he started applying it to my thumb. I wish I had spoken up, but I didn't. He then proceed to do the rest of my nails with gel (what I had come in for.) Anyways at the end I thought maybe he wouldn't upcharge me considering it was ONE nail that I didn't even want done that way. Nope- $7 extra. I was shocked at how a normal $55 French gel manicure turned into a $70+ charge w tip. The quality was fine, but for not listening to customers and trying to charge you left and right for anything they can, I wouldn't say it was worth it. read more

Quite literally the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. I asked for the gentleman to fix a broken big toenail with acrylic. Instead of sculpting the nail with acrylic he glued a huge plastic fake nail over the top of my broken nail. So it looks nothing like my other foot and is not going to stay in place. The vibe changed when I told him I just wanted the express pedicure even though I upgraded to gel so with the nail repair and the gel I was already at double the price of a normal pedicure. He rushed through the pedicure in less than 15 minutes. He asked me what color I wanted and I asked for gel colors to choose from and he rolled his eyes and threw several samples to choose from. I chose a nice neutral light pink and told him which number it was. He went and got the polish and it was nothing near the color I chose but instead was an obnoxious Honey Boo Boo pink. By the time he applied the polish it was too late to say anything because he stuck my foot under the light so fast to cure the polish and you could tell he wanted me out of his chair. So now I have honey boo boo toes with one big weirdly shaped toenail that's hanging by a thread with nail glue to the tune of $75. Cool cool, I'll never ever be back. read more

The nail polish on some nails is super sheer and you can see the nail under, the design that I was charged like $20-$25 extra for is messy and the nail looks bumpy. I showed up on a Tuesday morning, so it wasn't very busy, and got in for a pedi right away. Although I'm happy with my pedicure, I couldn't believe the prices. They're significantly higher than other nail salons I frequent, for the same quality of work. If you add gel, expect to pay $18 more on top of the base price pedi. The atmosphere is very nice, and they do try to be hospitable by getting you a free beverage at the start. My only complaint is the prices. read more

I would give zero or negative stars if I could. I used to go to them at their old location and they were good. But now it's HORRIBLE. I went back recently and only 3 days later they are lifting. They REFUSED to give me a refund, and they can't even fix them because I live 2 hours away. The acrylic doesn't even go close to my cuticles, and on some nails it doesn't even go to the edges of the nails!! And the polish?? Don't even get me started. Sheer and not applied well. Having been to several nail salons in the tri-cities. I can honestly say that I'm not really impressed with any nail salons anywhere. However, of them all, I think Road 68 is good, but could be better. All these places need to improve their customer service skills and communication skills. The overall appeal of the salon is typical. Prices are comparable. It's fairly clean and organized with lots of techs and pedi stations, but they are *regularly* busy. Lots of walk-ins (like myself) and some with appointments. If you get the nail tech next to the register, you will be *constantly* interrupted. They were pretty quiet, not very engaging, but polite-- which is sometimes a good thing. I got a basic mani and pedi. I'm not sure who my pedi nail tech was because she didn't have a name tag. She did good work, but her towel looked stained and she covered her lap more than the foot rest with it. I asked her a few times if she had rhinestone or"diamonds" because I requested it but she didn't have it in her tray with the rest of her tools. I wish she used the microplane thing or "cheese grater" but she didn't offer it. My mani tech did good work too. My daughter had the same nail tech and got acrylics. Customers seemed pleased after. When the technician went to remove my prior dip nails (done at another TriCities nail salon, that I do recommend), he took the tip of an acrylic nail and pried the dip product off my natural nail. I m not to sure how this place has such great reviews. They don't give you exactly what you ask for. I asked for my nails to be square and the nail tech give me somewhat of a coffin/square look and not to mention VERY narrow sides. I told him i didn't like them and his response was "this is my style". Not an answer you should give a customer. He did not even apologize or offer to fix them. I m basically walking out with a half job done and now i have to go somewhere else to get them soaked off and have to pay for a new set when in the beginning i just wanted a fill. Very disappointed. If I could leave a zero star I would. I got short acrylics with gel (we have to get fell do you covid) so no choice there. My nails are all different lengths, and ends are not colored. The nail tech I got was watching tv on her phone and texting throughout my appointment. Should would constantly look away while cutting, painting, and filing my nails. While she was painting my nails she would stop every ginger and start texting. The place is also quiet dirty and the trash can they have for when you wash your hands is broken so every person has to touch the dirty trash can and lift the lid. The woman doing my nails also reused old gloves to touch me and the equipment. This has been the worst experience I have had at a nail salon. I would not recommend this place to anyone. And with how uneven my nails turned out I was charged $48 dollars for a short set with gel. First of all the people are very nice and it's such a nice touch to offer you a beverage during your service. However, I was dismayed they were not clear on prices, I was asked if I wanted a gel pedicure my first visit and said sure! Then saw was 18 extra dollars ending up with a pedicure close to $60 plus tip which is more than I've ever paid. The next time I went they charged me an extra $10 to take the gel off, and there was a weird color around my nail beds that I asked the guy about but he didn't speak English so I could not communicate effectively. At the end of my pedi there was a black rim around several of my nail beds that wasn't there before still not sure what it is. Then they charge the CUSTOMER a service charge for using a credit card (not disclosed to me I would have paid cash). So all in all, a very expensive pedi for not the best experience at least the 2nd time. Not sure if I'll be back but again, people are very nice just not transparent with prices. read more

This was my third visit. The first was great, the second I felt like I was interrupting the day by asking for a pedicure, today was the worst! I, and my sister, walked in to the establishment. When asked what we wanted we said a manicure, pedicure, and lip & eyebrow waxing. "Pick a color." Was the response. They did have several pedicures in the process, but they took us straight to some chairs. When they were done with my pedicure I sat for the ten minutes she told me to sit so that my nails could dry. I had already changed from a polish to clear because she seemed rushed, was painful, I even joked can I have someone happy. The gentleman giving a manicure next to me said no.... after a few minutes she returned and said did you want manicure. She pointed to the chairs. I was half way through when I realized my sister was still sitting in her chair. I reminded the young lady that she wanted a manicure also. They brought her to a chair next to me. She continued to wait and then someone came in and they took her to the nail tech. My sister decided to wait for later as she had somewhere to be at 3pm and we had been there since noon and is was now almost 2. As we were checking out we asked why when we arrived they ask what services we want, but did not indicate that there were several appointments and we would not be able to received those services until after 2? She did not appear to understand what we said, so I asked the gentleman who had spoken / interpreted for us earlier. He just said that appointments come first (makes perfect sense) and that they only had one girl for none appointments (ok), again I asked why they didn't tell us this when they asked what services we wanted? He had no answer, only that the front desk girl asked us. I understand that there is a language barrier, I appreciate that appointments are being made, but we would have come back or even scheduled an appointment, but based on the last two visits and feeling as if I am an convenience I will find a new location for these services. It is not like there is a shortage of salons in the Tri-Cities. I do not recommend this location for a relaxing experience if that is what you are seeking. This place had a lot of mixed reviews but I thought I'd come into it with an open mind since it was close to my home, I walked in at 4pm and there was no wait time which was amazing as it was busy. I asked for a full acrylic set, and their prices have definitely changed due to covid, they state a full acrylic set is $30 however they only use gel due to covid. I also wanted an ombré with my color and this was on their price list as $53 which I was fine with. I was excited and hoping I got Kenny since I heard great things about him on these reviews and he really is amazing, the first part of my appointment went great. He shaped my nails perfectly and I got exactly what I wanted from him! He was also very patient with me (I'm one of those people who fingers tense up unknowingly and they have to tell you to relax! Lol) but he still did an amazing job. The part that make me minus a star is when I switched to a different nail tech to do the color of my nails, I chose my color and let her know I wanted an ombré and her response was "that's a lot of work on a full set... wouldn't that color be prettier on the whole nail???" I still wanted it but she insisted I should just do the whole nail that color as she did not want to do any design, not sure why she didn't want to do it or just be lazy... anyway, I liked the color so I just gave in and got the whole nail painted a single color and I did like it although disappointed that I didn't get what I asked for, also why is it on their prices if they aren't going to do it? And to top it all off when I went to pay it was $53! I was annoyed by this due to not getting the ombré and that was listed for $53 and $30 for a full set ... I guess since they are only using gel they charged me the $53. The price and color/design is what made this not the best experience but I really loved Kenny and he made my entire experience! First time going here and I asked for a very simple nail set. I walked out of this place with 2 of my nails being shorter than the others and one of them is crooked. They didn't have the nail color I wanted so i chose a different one but you can see straight into the nail which isn't what I wanted. I asked to get a playboy bunny designe, like a sticker almost but they never told me they were going to draw it on my nail. They didn't have that design and they didn't tell me!.
