AVOID!! TLDR: Absolutely unprofessional. After weeks of back and forth, they finally confirmed my move two weeks ahead for June 25 - then cancelled just hours before. No call back, no apology, no solution. Just silence. Do yourself a favor and go with a company that respects your time. These people do not. Most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. I reached out to Brooke on June 2 to schedule movers to hoist 2 items onto my patio and one to my roof. She said the earliest they could potentially do would be June 10 or June 13, but she was not sure and would have to check with Ryan and get back to me. A few days went by and I heard nothing, so I followed up to see if we could get everything finalized before either the 10th or 13th. Brooke again said she will need a few days to talk to Ryan and get back to me. Another few days went by and I heard nothing, so I followed up again on the 9th and Brooke said she had been busy booking more moves (I guess ignoring mine simultaneously), and neither day will work now, but they could do the 25th because they are going to combine my appointment with another to make it more convenient for them. I asked if there was any earlier date available and she said no. Now comes the 25th, and around 1:30pm (approximately 2.5 hours before my arrival window), Brooke tells me that the movers are having issues with their first move, and may not be able to come today. Then, at 3:30pm, Brooke said the movers will not be coming today. I tried to give her a call to see if we can figure out another day, and she responded that she was at the dentist and would call me back. It's now been two days and I haven't received any calls, backup plans/alternative dates, or even an apology for the extreme inconvenience and unprofessionalism. Not only did they fail to follow through on the first two available dates and then make a concrete plan for a third date that was 2 weeks out, they did not even attempt to make it right. Very long story, shortened for the benefit of our movers.... We have moved our possessions in stages three times from California to Texas. This final time, we contacted RL Relocation. Please note we've done three different household moves from California, three different ways. First, we drove a U-haul truck ourselves, but hired someone to load and unload it. Second, we hired a moving company that held our stuff for about three weeks until they had enough customers to make multiple family loads on one truck coming to our town, and third we called RL.... We were more than pleased with the service, friendliness, care with our property (and no judgements expressed at our junk! LOL). In California, we had Joe (our driver), Michael, Dillion, Alex, Carlos, and Dan. These gentlemen showed up, on time, protected our floor and walls, and took special care to wrap our furniture. They loaded on Mother's Day morning no less!, and were finished in less than three hours. On Wednesday, Joe showed up early at our door, accepted coffee and donuts, and brought Johnathan and Joey. The crew was prompt, friendly and very professional. They packed me on a Monday and got to my new address that Saturday, 5 days later! The driver kept in touch on his progress. I generally was extremely happy with my move on January 6, 2021. My grandfather clock was moved with no problems. My clock continued to run well until September 6, 2022, when I realized that the mechanism no longer worked. However, this occurrence probably was no fault by the movers as my clock went through a total of twelve moves, including the move done by the store where I purchased the clock in 1992, as well as the January 1994 Northridge Earthquake in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. With a new grandfather clock mechanism, my grandfather clock now operates very well. However, I have a trophy in which one of the plastic numbers was broken accidentally during the move. As I could not replace the broken number, I replaced the last two digits of the year with a new set of digits. My other furniture, including my bed, a small bed, a large desk, computer table, a number of chairs, console piano, three dressers and a dresser mirror, and living room furniture, as well as many boxes were moved very well. Overall, I gave my move five stars as the movers did an excellent job. I highly recommend this company. read more

There's a reason that these guys have five stars. Brooke came out to give us a quote for packing and moving out of our condo and into our new house. The price was a little higher than some other quotes, but not by much and given their reviews it seemed fair. Ryan and 3 of his team members showed up on time at 7:30am to get started. Since my wife and I have a 6 month old, so we didn't really have the time and or freedom to pack much of anything ourselves. That wasn't a problem at all and the guys went to town on our place with plenty of energy and smiles. From the TV still hanging on the wall to my wife's grandma's vases, they took care of everything. Brooke even showed up to lend a hand. They brought a big truck and were able to fit it all in so that they only had to make one run. The team unloaded the truck with the same good attitudes and pep in their steps right until the end, 12 hours later on one of the hottest days we've had. They worked through tricky angles, put the beds back together, and even came back to pick up the empty boxes the next day. We were moving from Southern California to Middle Tennessee. We called 12 different moving companies (literally 12 - we found them through Yelp, of course). 8 of them would not do a move that far. We got quotes from the remaining 4 companies (as the old saying goes, "Always get at least 3 quotes"). The first quote was for $15,500 (WHAT!!!). The second quote was for $10,800 (Better but still, What!!). The remaining 2 quotes were each around $7,600 (OK, now that is more like it!). The 2 companies with the more reasonable quotes were one of the BIG National moving companies and RL Relocation. We had an extended family member who had used RL Relocation for a move from Southern California to the Greater Seattle area, and was Very Happy with their service, so we decided to go with them. We are Glad we did! From our meeting with Brooke, who gave us our estimate to the movers arriving Early the day of the move, to the way the movers took care to protect everything (e.g. covering on the floor and corners of the walls, professional wrapping our belongs, the care they took loading the truck, etc.) we knew we had made the right choice. By the way, did I mention we had to do the move during the height of the Coronavirus Panedemic (from March 22nd through March 27th . . . now that was an experience!!)? As a result, the owner of the RL Relocation drove the truck to Tennessee himself. And when we were having a problem getting a vehicle mover for one of our vehicle, he was even willing to tow our vehicle behind the moving truck (this may have been a "Special Circumstances" case . . . considering the Pandemic and all).
