My company, Sleepy ZZZ's Masonry, has been a subcontractor for RKA for almost 2 years now. I cannot say enough wonderful things about this company. From Anita, who greets you when you walk into their office, always with a smile on her face, to General Superintendent, Greg Green, who knows more about the construction business than anyone I've ever met, to the very nice and motivated man who started RKA close to 15 years ago and is growing their business to huge heights, the owner, Ryan Anderson, it's been my pleasure to have my masonry crews to have done many jobs, both big and small, representing such an incredible organization. They knew that I was "wet behind the ears" but gave me and my crews a chance that I hope will be a very long term relationship. I won't be able to name everyone I've met and worked with so far, but they have some amazing Project Managers and Superintendents that work in the field on the jobs we have done for them that have taught me so much. These include Alex Wellford, Doug McClelland, Wesley Ashley, Kip Gordon, James Poe, Steve Harris, Carter Mackie, as well as several of their assistants, too. If you are looking for a great construction company for any kind of project on your existing home or to build you a brand new one, you have people in this company that will work hard for you and your family and stay on top of everything that needs to be done to make you happy. This is the 4th business I've owned in my life and I can honestly say I love doing what I do now more than anything I've ever done. I wish there were negative numbers. We unfortunately hired these folks to do a job on 8/15/23. They stated it would take 10 days. By October they were no closer than in September. They placed 2 dumpsters on our drive, restricting use and hanging over the edge of a precipice. By January still no progress. They started on the roof, attempting to cover up holes and mold and basically cheating us. We had to have the roof taken off, repaired and had to monitor every single step so they would actually do the task and not lie. By March they were still working at this. Now they damaged the concrete in our drive by dragging the dumpsters and chipping the concrete and cracking it. The owner, Ryan, told us that it was no big deal and that "you should expect some damage when you have construction jobs done." YGTBSM! Everything about this job was a nightmare. The help was completely incompetent, the supervision was zero and the quality was that of animals digging through a trashcan. We forced them to repair our drive and complete the job with some modicum of professionalism (Trust me this company has none!). They completed it in July, nearly ONE YEAR after they started. Do NOT even consider hiring these folks for anything. They are beyond awful. They subcontract everything and the subs further sub the job out. The owner stated his opinion of the Pickwick area when he stated to us- "It is extremely difficult to find any quality craftsman in this area so we are forced to accept sub par and try to make the best of it."
