This review is for Excellent Roofing and specifically Travis Kee and his crew. Travis and crew did a superb job in October of 2016 doing a complete tear off, needed decking replacement and new architectural roof job on my house, garage/garage apt and small shed. It was a very big job and Travis and his crew of approximately 10 men worked very diligently for four full days beginning at 7:00 and usually quitting around 6:00 PM. They were very conscientious and showed great attention to detail. They completed all the specific tasks I requested with excellent attitudes. They obviously were very experienced and took great care to perform all the necessary tasks as well as possible. They communicated very well with me and each other. My house is 97 years old with a lot of angles, ridges, valleys and special needs and it required extensive replacement of 1x6 decking. I expected some decking replacement but nowhere near what was necessary. The decking did increase the cost of the job but it was absolutely necessary as I saw personally for myself since I was on the roof with them each day. There are two parapet fully dressed limestone walls on the roof which required special attention to detail in the step flashing. They covered plants, grass and driveway with tarps. Cleanup was on-going every day. They ran the magnet for nails. Excellent attention to details. Travis gave me a detailed estimate on the front end and spent as much time as needed to answer any and all of my questions. Travis came out and did the estimate himself rather than send someone else. All measuring was direct; no satellite. I did talk with him several times on the phone verifying the details before accepting his bid. Each time he was very patient and informative and answered each and every one of my detailed questions in a highly professional manner. He always got back with him as he stated he would and always returned my calls promptly. I requested that Travis be on the job each day and he was there like clockwork. He has an excellent rapport with his men many of whom have worked with him for over 15 years; that says a lot in itself. The crew did an excellent cleanup job. I am very pleased with the work and the deportment of all of Travis' crew. I can heartily recommend Travis, his crew and Excellent roofing for a home roofing job. I definitely trust Travis and his crew and give them my highest recommendation. They were great to have working on my house. I gave them 5 Stars because 1 year later I have had no issues. The positives were they met time guidelines, the roof looks perfect, they keep nails out of the street. They were responsive to the issues I had and they could not have been any friendlier. The negatives were even though they covered everything in my attic, there was little pieces of roofing material all over my attic when they removed tarps and it was not cleaned as well as it should have been. They changed out all my attic fans even though our agreement was to check them and if needed we would change them out. I expected them to discuss this with me. As my attic fans were 23 years old I am sure they needed to be changed. As I said they were very responsive. I would definitely use then again as they are reasonable and responsive. read more

Our job involved a tear off, a new roof, new gutters and downspouts, fixing a leaking window, and adding a permanent patio roof (replacing a canvas cover). I can honestly say that every thing done was superior in workmanship, quality, and materials. This is the hardest working group of guys we have ever seen, and they all had excellent ideas to make the job look even better! The owner, John, choreographed everything so there was no lapse in work being done. The carpentry, the roofing, the gutter removal and installation, the patio construction, the painting, and the electrical were done to perfection and we could not be happier! These folks are great! They put in a new roof a few years ago. When I though I had a problem this spring. They came the SAME DAY! It was not the roof it was a windowsill that caused the water problem. They fixed it at once and there has been no problem since. Their customer service is second to none! I would recommend them to anyone that has a roof issue. When the put the roof on, They cleaned up any mess they had. I never found even one nail in my yard. The workers were friendly and polite. Superb work and customer service. I used Excellent Roofing to replace a roof on my rental property. As a long distance landlord I was living out of the country at the time and had to set everything up by phone and email. They emailed me the estimates I needed for my insurance company and worked with me to choose the right shingles for my home. When they were finished they took pictures and emailed them to me to see the finished product. When I finally saw the roof in person about a year later it looked great!! In all my life I have never had such a professional contractor. He took before and after photos of my roof repairs. His estimate was clear, definitive, and prescise. I had 4 other estimates from supposed top roofers whose estimates were so vague that I really wasn't sure what I was getting. They not only did everything promised, they repaired more of the house siding and wood trim and did more painting than was on the estimate. They were promp, courteous, and even changed some outdoor light bulbs for me on the second floor. I will never use a different contractor. read more

Will Jumper was the person i talked to about getting a roof he had help to appraise the cost of a new roof after taking off three older roofs the cost was very affordable and the repairs and upgrade was done in a very timely manner. They did a good job on a slate roof. I had to follow up a few times with scheduling, but I understand with this kind of work there are delays due to unforeseen issues. However, when I question on something I saw from the inside the owner, (can't remember his name, sorry) came that day to check it out and it turned out to be an old stain. Great service. So appreciated their input on what should be done with repairs. We had numerous rotten boards and their ability to advice how to repair was helpful. The workers were all nice and considerate around our home. The took nice precautions to protect our landscape and attics as they did tear off. Excellent Roofing replace our daughter's roof this past May. The job was done in one day and other than a new roof you could not tell that the roof had been replaced or work done at the house. Very clean. Excellent also suggested replacing a flat section over a sunroom with a product called TPO. We were told this would lower the temperature in that room by 10 degrees. The house had three layers of shingles on it but they got there very early and peeled if off like it was no big deal. They worked all day and completed it before they left that night. It is a small house but that was still a surprise. I have worked roofing a few houses when I was much younger and they did the valleys and flashing better than we used to do.
