RJH mechanical is by far the best A/C company, I have ever had the pleasure to do business with. Unfortunately, I have moved to Maryland recently and I am unable to utilize their services. I have however recommended my family members who remain in Arizona, to continue using RJH mechanical whenever the need arrives!! You simply cannot do better than RJH Mechanical. I've used them for several repairs including whole house system replacement. It all started when on a Sunday in the summer, our unit fan motor quit. It was 100+ inside... SWELTERING! Rich... THE OWNER!!! stayed on the phone with us till his guys arrived. He talked with us while they fixed it and ensured everything was back up and running with cool down before he let us go. You CAN'T buy that kind of personal dedication and service. I'll use NO ONE ELSE... EVER! read more

It was time for us to have both of our ac units checked to be ready for the summer. I called RJH Mechanical because we used his services a couple of years ago. He was able to come the very same day and within 1 hour of my request. He was very thorough with completing the inspection. He found some loose parts and was able to tighten up the loose connections. We are VERY pleased with his service. And the cost was less than other providers. He us now out AC repair man! read more

We called because our A/C unit failed, and our home warranty service assigned RJH Mechanical. They replaced the compressor under warranty but the labor was not covered, after charging us over $2,000.00 we were informed that the whole unit need to be replaced. To make a long story short we had a 2nd tech look at the unit, he told us that it was grossly overcharged with coolant and would need to be evacuated and recharged. We Called RJH Mechanical back and told them, offered to give them the chance to fix the problem, the response was "We will not go back up on that roof unless it is to replace the unit". We had the 2nd tech perform the recommended services, the unit has worked fine on both heating and cooling since then, it has been about 15 months now. So my actual rating would be -5000 stars. read more

My go to company for all things air conditioning. Reliable, punctual and knowledgeable. The best!

Shannon and Rich are amazing, we were without AC for Two days there was a mix up with our home warranty scheduling the call with RJH and Shannon made sure were taken care of the same day!! Rich came out and diagnosed the problem in minutes and had us up and running. Can't say enough about the communication and understanding. I highly recommend RJH you will not be disappointed. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. My home warranty company assigned him. He came out turned on my AC said there was nothing wrong with it and left in under 20 min and charged me the 75 dollar service fee. Within minutes after leaving the same problem started back up, burning electrical smell and smoke coming from vents. I called him back and asked him to come back and he said he would early the following week. I called again the following week to schedule and could not get a time from him to come back out. So I called home warranty company to get someone new out and they told me they called him and he said there is nothing wrong with my AC and they didn't want to send anybody back out? I had to argue with them to get a new contractor. So when my house burns down from an electrical fire I will be sure to let RJH know that there was nothing wrong with my AC and thanks for blowing me off. read more

Awesome company! I had an a/c unit going out this last weekend. First thing Monday morning, I called RJH figuring there was no way that I was going to get same-day service because the weekend had been so hot and I knew that it would be a very busy time for an a/c company. When I explained the situation to Shannon including the fact that there was a baby in the home, she had a tech there in just a couple of hours. Great service and I highly recommend this company! If zero was a rating, i would give it!! Horrible service. Was assigned this company by my home warranty. The part was ready for pick up in 2 days. I called him multiple times to see when he wouild be coming, he ignored my calls, and then when i did get ahold of him he would tell me that he didnt get any paperwork yet and to call the ho.e warranty to have it resent. This went on for a week in over 100 degree weather!! The warranty company trued calling him multiple times while i was on the phone. He ignored their calls too. It took him over a week to pick up the part to fix the AC, but he still couldn't come for 4 more days. He blamed the "mix up" on the warranty company. I finally ended up calling the home warranty to get a new company assigned and got the a.c. fixed before he was able to even come back with the part. read more

I own A home in Gilbert AZ and I recently had RJH Mechanical come to my House for a AC problem. Rick diagnosed the problem of a compressor failure and sent it to the warranty company, they immediately denied the claim They said a shorted out Compressor is not covered because a shorted out system is from lack of maintenance. (compressors are sealed units) The compressor shorted out after the cooling coils developed a leak and all Refrigerant was lost causing compressor to over heat and burn up. If RJH would have checked the inside portion of the AC unit Coils unit for problems and relayed the correct or total causes for failure to the Choice Home Warranty Company it may have turned out better. The end result, the warranty company paid nothing because of his diagnosis. Rick did offer to fix the problem for $2200.00. Had RJH replaced the compressor unit it would have lasted a few days until the refrigerant had leaked out then the same problem the compressor would fail again. I asked him how much to replace coils he said about $2000.00 and then another compressor $2200. I would think someone in the AC business would do total inspection of the system before submitting their finding to a warranty company. In the end I had to replace the entire system. Choice Home Warranty is a Joke and a Waste of Money Rick of RJH Mechanical could have been more diligent in his job. He was to fast to suggest he could have a new compressor installed in a matter of hours, that would have led to more problems and more money that just getting a new system Dan read more

Two hours ahead of schedule, friendly and honest. Turned out that a fuse wasn't working which made one of our units stop working. Knowing people in the trade this is a simple repair that most companies use to make big costly unnecessary repairs. 15 minutes, fused replaced, done deal. One of the few honest companies in The Valley ! read more

My home warranty company assigned my A/C repair to this company. They NEVER called me and I could not get through to them on the phone. Most times it went to voicemail then said mailbox was full. When I could I left a message and also emailed them but NOTHING. My home warranty company could not even get through to them during normal business hours and had to assign repair to another contractor. Terrible customer service. read more

RJH Mechanical does not return calls and is completely unresponsive. If you have a Home Warranty service and they assign you to this company ask for another provider. They have a contract with our Home Warranty company so we were assigned them - 7 days and no service in 110 degree summer temperatures. Not only are they impossible to reach, they missed 4 scheduled appointments and then when we expressed our dissatisfaction they sent a text at the end of the day and said they called the Home Warranty company and said we needed to be assigned another vendor because they didn't have time to service it - after 7 days. A text, not a phone call and only after we left multiple messages beginning in the early morning. Do not use RJH Mechanical read more

RJH is the least responsive company I have ever dealt with. It took them 14 days to actually fill out the paperwork correctly for the home warranty company. If your company send you to them demand another company. Our home warranty company uses them and so we had to. They responded within a day to come out and said the AC compressor was broken. They then did a real hard sell to try and sell us a new unit saying that they could put a new unit in the next day. They said that was the best way to go "because the home warranty company could take a week to get back to them on the repairs." When we didn't agree to a whole new unit they simply fell off the map. They didn't submit the paperwork to the Warranty company for 2 weeks. We called the warranty company and they even had to assign a "contract dispute person" due to how horrible RJH was. No one ever answers their phone, and the voicemail was full for 4 straight days. They when they finally sent in the quote to the insurance company, they added all kids of crap to it that was little added costs that no reputable person charges. I went ahead and had someone else fix it out of my pocket and am getting a check from the warranty company. They clearly only do warranty work to try and upsell their products, and then add on all kids of out of pocket charges. Horrible company!! PS - Not like this horrible company would respond, but I have a cell phone bill that probably shows 60 phone calls to them....so go ahead and try to deny it!! read more

I forced to use a ac person that i did not know thru my home warranty never again. he never called me back after the claim was sent to him. our house was with no ac all day. the next morning i got a message from him that we were scheduled between 7am and 11am. he did not show up until 238pm. we had left the house to run an errand and he rang the doorbell and left. he left no voice mail but did say he called. i called him after i got back home and he told me that he couldn't come back until tomorrow. I ashed him why he didnt show up until 238pm almost 4 hours past his appointment and he said he was busy. i asked him if his cell phone was broken because he didnt call to let us know. he hung up on me because i was being sarcastic but i just wanted to know why he didnt call, his response was he was busy. this is the worst i have ever been treated by someone who is there to do a service and get paid for it. I WOULD STAY AWAY, I THINK HE IS IN IT JUST FOR THE MONEY. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Thanks, Rich. read more

If I could give this company a negative star I would. I have never dealt with such unprofessional people in my life. I had 2 scheduled appointments And they failed to come to either one of those no phone call or anything . Finally at 9:00 p.m. they show up and I get a technician who says hes been working for 20 hours and tells me I should be glad he showed up. As others have warned do not let your warranty company Send this company to your home. I am currently working with a company I paid for out of my own pocket and they are not diagnosing it the same imagine that! read more

I'm a landlord done business with a dozen different AC companies. I've finally found some really good people to work with in RJH Mechanical. My tenant called on a Sunday, RJH called me right back same day. Typical complaint AC not blowing cold, RJH came once, had to come back and did it promptly not a week later. Stayed in great contact with me through process, I did not have to actually go the house once and that's like gold. Solid, dependable, highly recommended. read more

I'd give 10 Stars if Yelp would allow it. Rich, Shannon and Staff, were polite, professional, prompt, efficient, clean, provided great information, and above all, "Honest". I believe Rich, owner of RJH, said he has been in the HVAC Business for over 30 years, and his experience and knowledge, to me, is unmatched (and I have hired many of his Peers here in The Valley of the Sun over the last 18 years). Don't wait for your A/C Unit to break down on the 1st Hot Day....call RJH and get your A/C Units checked out, today! read more

RJH was supposed to show up Yesterday. Never showed, never called, & wouldn't even answer their phone. Their voicemail box is full so I can't even leave a message! I can't fathom how you're still in business. My infant twins, 2 year old son, spouse and I really appreciate the 106° heat with no A.C.. THANKS! read more

I also had my home warranty company assign RJH to me for my A/C problems. They DID NOT EVER CONTACT ME. I called them three times and left voice mail messages and THEY DID NOT EVER RETURN THE CALL. Seems to be their theme to not respond to any home warranty claims. DO NOT let your home warranty company give your A/C claim to this company - save yourself the grief and save yourself two days of waiting for them to call. I had to call another company who came right out. Because of RJH's lack of customer service or just answering a phone I have had damage done to my drywall from the leak I needed fixed. RJH should not be allowed to be on any home warranty company's list nor on any other list. Unbelievable that an AC company in Phoenix in July would ignore people that need their services. read more

Watch out if they are assigned for service through your home warranty. They didn't call us, claim they did, showed up at 7pm when no one is at the property because the AC was out, never answered their phone, missed an appointment, then texted they were in a meeting. Would never recommend to anyone. read more

Although there is a clear disconnect between my home warranty company and the vendors that they send out, I had a really positive experience with RJH mechanical. Problem solved, quickly and painlessly. read more

I got assigned to RJH through my warranty company and it was the worst "service" I've ever received. I called and called on a Sunday to try to get someone out here to fix my broken AC. I finally got a call back at 9pm where a man informed me that warranty customers are not a priority for RJH. Just because my warranty company pays you means that I'm not a priority? I've been without AC for over 24 hours now and it's this horrible companies fault. If you can't make the warranty customers a priority like your other customers, you should not be contracted with the warranty company. Worst company I have ever NOT worked with. read more

My AC went out in the middle of the night and the Home Warranty company gave me the run around all night about when they could get someone out to look at it. RJH came out the next morning and replaced a part and got the AC unit working in no time. He originally said he couldn't make it until the next day but he adjusted his schedule to come fix it the same day. Glad he did with the temperature in the house already at 87° and the high for the day well above 110°. Great customer service and accommodation with this company! read more

Long story short- Our home warranty sent guys out 8 different times to fix our AC unit. On the 9th time....I smartened up and asked for a new contractor. Home warranty company send out RJH. I am SO glad they did because Rich knew exactly what needed to be fixed and took care of everything for us. I didn't have to call him 1 time, he didn't drop the ball, and he actually communicated directly with my warranty company so I didn't have to. He went above and beyond a typical contractor and knocked our service outta the park! I have recommended Rich 3 times in the past week, so glad we got the opportunity to have RJH take care of us. Rich is awesome and his team is flawless! read more

AC REPAIR!!! I manage maintenance on 8 rental homes here in the Valley. Needless to say in the last 15 years we have come across many an AC company...with all the nightmare stories to tell. I recently called RJH Mechanical @ 480-205-8250 and I still cant believe the service!!! RICK was On time ( in fact waited for me :) to arrive at the property!! Great professional attitude. Very clearly explained what the situation with the unit was and what needed to be done. AWESOME! No long drawn out well it could be this or we can "try" this I have received from techs in the past. This company showed up on time ( that alone was amazing especially when you don't reside at the property) the service charge was not "increased" and the unit now one week later is still running EXCELLENT! I cant say enough about this company. This company is CUSTOMER SERVICE oriented all the way!! Shannon at the office was great to speak with ! Always friendly and professional. I never felt like "another crazed homeowner" even though I did call in a panic. I will use them again on every property...and will continue to refer them. THANK YOU RICH and SHANNON...great team. OUTSTANDING company!!!! read more

Air conditioner went out during this horrible heat wave. Due to so many people having the same issue, we were looking at waiting for a couple days. About an hour later, get a call that there's a cancellation and would we like it? My upstairs was 90 degrees, YES I want that appt! The service guys identified the problem quickly and fixed it immediately. House is cooling down - thank you RJH Mechanical! We will be keeping your number for future use! read more

RJH Mechanical is a fantastic choice for any of your residential HVAC needs! We had to have our central a/c replaced after several parts were replaced and because it was 17 years old and counting. RJH tech's explained to us that because the R22 systems will be obsolete in just a few years, and because old systems like ours will continue to have ongoing issues over time until they fail completely, we made the decision to replace ours. The RJH Mechanical owner and technicians were very professional, always available, great listeners, polite, and went above and beyond to make sure we didn't have to suffer any longer in a home where temps hovered in the low 90's on some of the hottest days for over a week during late June, early July 2016! The price was right and much less than we thought we would have to pay to replace the a/c system in our home. It was definitely considered an investment in our home! Overall we would highly recommend RJH Mechanical and will definitely keep their business cards around for future issues! read more
