I tried to explain to the man that I didn't have cash on me and was desperately hoping the staff would kindly help the man. He lingered for a long time, almost ruining our lunch. The man waiting on us saw and did nothing. Listen, I'm not heartless but I can't help every person panhandling. The staff should take care of this situation and not pass on the responsibility to their customers. I'm sorry but this looks very poorly on the City of El Paso which I hate to say, I think it's a wonderful beautiful city. If I were not Latina or hadn't experienced similar situations like this in my youth I'd have been clutching my pearls and would have left. I know this will come off as heartless, it broke my heart.
