Visiting from the East Coast and had a hankering for sushi. Riyoma delivered absolutely delicious pieces of nigiri with the perfect amount of rice, a fresh and tasty squid salad, and a dragon roll that was my favorite item that I had. The restaurant has a very welcoming environment and is very cozy. I sat at the sushi bar, as I dined alone, so service was minimal but satisfactory to the experience I wanted of a quiet and quick lunch. If I happen to be in the area again, I know exactly where to go for sush

Food was very fresh, i came on a Tuesday night so service was prompt. It was very clean and the staff was nice. They had holiday music playing low which was nice and it was super comfortable! Most of all sushi was super good, definitely will return!

Riyomas is the best place in town for traditional sushi and well worth the price. We have followed Ungí chef /owner since he owned Jackpot Sushi in northeast El Paso. He is a wonderful sushi chef he took over Riyomas when original owner retired. The food is great and the prices are competitive. Our family favorite "spicy scallops hand roll" , safe go to is Chirashi bowl or sushi' sampler no other place makes it as delicious. My personal guilty pleasure is Uni, it's sweet and buttery.

Very good sushi place very traditional and has a wide selection of dishes. The palace is super clean and the service is on point. Will definitely come back.

I stumbled upon this place looking for "decent" sushi. I'm so glad I did because they are far more than decent. Let's start off with saying, I've been to the original markets in Japan and have had sushi there. This is not that, HOWEVER, in consideration for it being El Paso, TX where sushi is not on the map here, this place is worth the shout out. I had a donburi, fresh sashimi and multiple rolls. I've been here several time and although the items can add up, I never leave feeling disappointed even with a heftier price tag. The food is made with the freshest ingredients and the sushi is hand crafted in front of you. The UNI was especially sweet and being that I know the authentic type should come in a wooden box, we'll you know it did when the sushi chef brought it out. The staff is as friendly as if being in Japan. They truly cared if we enjoyed our dish and truly apologetic if an item was out...which to me, is a good sign. Selling out is better than being discounted on food, so you know there is constant turn over. This place is a gem in EP. continue to support them and keep them alive. You will not find sushi places like this in Texas to be as authentic as they are.

I'm always skeptical about seafood in El Paso, but the reviews here about the fresh fish convinced me to give it a try. Ambiance - Plenty of seating with a traditional Japanese feel. The server was very patient and even told me that they kept their fish fresh by importing it from LA on a weekly basis. Food - Tried a ton of different things, but the outstanding ones were the sushi. As expected, the fish itself tasted fresh and well made. My only issue was that while the fish was really good, the rice was definitely not up to standard (which is odd, because it's usually the other way around?) Overall, while I enjoyed the experience overall, it is a bit far from the West side and the rice was just not up to par. I'm giving it a 4 because of the quality of the fish, but I just wish the sushi was balanced with good fish AND good rice. Hopefully this happens during the next visit.

Amazing food all around amazing I've been coming here for over a decade The owner is the Sushi Chef and he buys the best quality fish available and has his special touches on everything. Sounds so simple but the best thing on the menu is their spicy tuna. Must go You won't regret it and for non-sushi lovers they have great other options too.

Salmon Nigiri - Two pieces of salmon nigiri sushi, each consisting of a slice of raw salmon placed on a small bed of rice, are arranged on a white rectangular plate. The plate is set on a granite countertop with a textured background, indicating a restaurant setting. The image focuses on the sushi, highlighting the fresh, orange-colored salmon slices.

Best sushi by far in the El Paso, Alamogordo, Las Cruses area. Being from hawaii, I have pretty high standards in sushi. The fish is fresh, the service and very good. They are so kind. But the sushi is for real soo good. My kids normally get the udon and love it.

Delicious food , I love to eat the sushi here . Only one chef which means you'll always get the same consistency . Very generous with their portions and great service

I'm a sushi aficionado. And this place is always very satisfying. I wish the ambiance here was more comfortable and relaxing; alittle romantic. I think what they need to do is dim the lights alittle bit. Other than that, I love this hidden jewel. My sons and I started with Gyoza dumplings w a special dipping sauce. They were tasty. My youngest son is a dumpling expert and he gave them two thumbs up. I also ordered the Vegetable Tempura. The portions are smaller than most Japanese restaurants. But they are tasty. We ordered 4 rolls. The rainbow roll is always a great choice because you get to sample how fresh the sushi truly is. It's not deep fried and they are not clouded with cream cheese. And the fish here is fresh. The caterpillar roll was very tasty. And the presentation is awesome. If you have kids, order this roll. They will love it. The Crunch roll was my favorite. It has shrimp tempura inside the roll and the outside is really crunchy. It's a great change from the previous two rolls that are soft and mushy. This was my favorite roll. My least favorite was the Crown Roll. It's warm and I don't like warm sushi rolls. It's also covered with a spicy mayonnaise sauce. This is just my preference. I don't like the mayo sauce. But my sons liked the warm roll. For a change. I highly recommend this restaurant if you're looking for a great relaxing and quiet place to have fresh sushi. Yum.

The food isn't always the hottest and sometimes they are slow on replenishing, but it's a HUGE buffet, compared to others in town so I guess it can be slow at times. There are Lots of salad choices, TONS of sushi and sushi roll options. They have a hibachi with guys just waiting for you to select what you want and they will freshly stir fry it for you. They add shrimp after 4 pm to the chicken, pork and beef options plus the plethora of fresh veggies. Then there is the typical Chinese and near Japanese premades like broccoli beef, broccoli chicken, steamed and yellow "fried" rice and noodle. Mushroom chicken, General Tso's chicken, along with some black bean mussels salt and pepper fried squid, etc. etc, 4-5 soups to choose including egg drop, sweet and sour, clam chowder, spicy seafood. And tons of other American dishes like pot roast style brisket, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried catfish, baked salmon and whitefish. And Mexican like nachos, caldio, picadillo, enchiladas, taco makings, and tons of desserts. Yea, for $18 you can't leave hungry. Try something new. If you don't like it, get something else. I left plenty satiated today. I arrived just after one so they were filling all the buffet with fresh food. I really like the peel and eat tiger shrimp today. And they had some kind of knuckles in a spicy brown sauce? I didn't like them myself but the pan kept emptying out so a lot of people must love them. The sweet tea was right on point. And the place looked fine for a buffet with 4 main dining rooms. Bathroom, well, the men's, was clean, soap dispensers were full and paper towels available ... plenty of table help today. But they are hiring. I come here about once a month. I like the food options here when I don't know exactly what I want but I want some Asian and Mexican and some salad... lol! It always fits the bill.

Honestly, I was really hoping that this place would be good based on Google Reviews (big mistake…read moreright there), but I was terribly mistaken. Upon entering, you would notice a tarpaulin banner acting as a sign. This was very noticeable since we arrived for dinner, and you can compare it to the other neon signs with neighboring establishments. This gave me the notion that this place was relatively new. Stepping inside, the layout oddly feels like this place used to be a sports bar with the multiple screens mounted on the walls. There was a massive bar with a good amount of seating as well. The tables and chairs seemed to be very mismatched as the chairs were quite low to comfortable place your elbows on the table. Again, this might be a new place and just used some alternative seating before investing into new furniture- definitely nothing wrong with that. We were greeted by a pleasant girl (I unfortunately didn't get the name) and asked for our orders. She was the most notable thing about this place though- at least compared to the meal we had. We ordered ebi (shrimp) tempura and takoyaki as appetizers since we were all starving. They came out at a reasonable time and they were really good! There was enough octopus in the takoyaki (rare for most places) and the tempura tasted a bit like instant batter but it was fried well. The unfortunate star of the show was the ramen. We all ordered the Don tonkatsu ramen and it was disappointing. The broth was incredibly salty, which ruined the whole dish. The noodles, toppings and pork were fine, but not particularly outstanding. The broth was almost good with the flavor, but the saltiness was too overpowering that it was difficult to finish the ramen. I hope they can remedy the ramen broth somehow, but it might be a while until I come back as a customer.

Our waitress gave us some time to look at the menu and would check on us periodically through our dinner. I initially ordered salmon and tuna nigiri to which she pointed out if I wanted the sashimi combo instead. This prompted us to ask what all we can order but she needed to clarify with the owner. Ultimately it didn't include the nigiri I wanted so I no longer considered the combo. I also had to point out a hair that was fried into the breading of my fried tofu patty. I ordered the fried tofu bun and I already was thrown off by the tomatoes and iceberg lettuce in the bun. Then upon closer inspection before I was about to take a big bite, i noticed what looked like hair. I started pulling it out as our waitress walked up and sure enough, it was someone's hair. She didn't apologize but asked if I wanted another one to which i declined. The owner came over with his apologies and tried to assure me that their inspection was a 90 which is great. Still doesn't excuse the lack of hairnet from the chef and getting hair in my tofu. Ultimately, I'm not exactly thrilled by this place nor would I consider coming back. Takoyaki, fried cream cheese wonton, and their Las Vegas Roll we ordered were the best tasting.y nigiri was too fishy which I was repulsed almost more than the hair. There seems to be a lunch hour menu that seems more worthwhile. There's also a military discount if you ask which is nice. The place is a fun setting with odd choice of music for a Japanese restaurant. They had reggaeton playing the entire dinner time we were there. I guess to try to stay relevant to the customer population and keep more business? Who knows.
