We just finished up at the Catbird Seat and Ashley had called next door to see if they could seat us at the Patterson House. As it turns out they could, and they were ready for us when we made our way across the hall. They gave us a choice of where we'd like to sit, and there were two chairs at the end looking out of the windows at skyline of the city. What better way to end a lovely evening with a lovely lady, but with a lovely view and some fantastic drinks? Holland, like the country, greeted us and set us up for the evening. Holland brought great energy, and was super welcoming. They even offered us drinks on the house for the engagement. Totally unexpected, and that just meant we had to have more than one round to make sure that we could appropriately tip and show our appreciation for the amazing hospitality! The drinks were great. I tend to gravitate towards the less sweet. The Japanese Anchorage scratched that elitch very well being boozy forward, with hints of flavors. She had the Late Summer Margarita, refreshing and sweeter. We shared the Thai Tea Banana Colada. Definitely the sweeter side, but couldn't pass up the opportunity. Very good, a little sweeter and a little heavier than I'd normally prefer. It met both of our preferences right in the middle. Compromise, right? Great experience, and would absolutely come back when in town!

We had been spending the weekend checking out different parts of Nashville, and since this is Jelly Roll's bar, we definitely wanted to stop in and see what it was all about. The place has a really fun Nashville atmosphere. There is a lot going on, the music fits the setting perfectly, and it has that energetic downtown Nashville feel that makes you want to hang around for a while. We had a great time walking around, checking everything out, and enjoying the atmosphere with our group. I also thought it was pretty cool seeing all of the Jelly Roll touches throughout the place. You can tell they wanted the bar to have its own personality instead of just feeling like another generic spot on Broadway. There was plenty to look at and the whole place had a fun vibe. We were in Nashville for a football game, but getting out with friends and checking out places like Goodnight Nashville ended up being a big part of what made the weekend so much fun. It was nice having a place where we could relax, hang out, and take in some of the Nashville experience. Definitely had a great time here. If you are a Jelly Roll fan or just looking for a fun place to check out while you are spending a weekend in Nashville, Goodnight Nashville is worth a stop. I am glad we made it part of our trip.

I'm 30 years old and have used this license without issue for years. When I asked what specifically was wrong with the ID, nobody could provide an explanation. Meanwhile, the other members of my group, all around the same age and carrying valid IDs, were able to order drinks without issue. As an Asian customer, I left this establishment believing I was racially profiled. I was singled out, denied service despite presenting valid identification, and never given a legitimate explanation for why my ID was supposedly unacceptable. Since the incident, I have found multiple reviews from other customers of color describing experiences that raised similar concerns about profiling and disparate treatment. The entire experience was humiliating, unprofessional, and unacceptable. There are plenty of businesses in Nashville that can verify IDs without treating customers this way.

We walked in around 5:00 PM, and there were very few people in the bar. We had a party of six, so we sat down at a table and waited. After sitting there for a while without anyone coming over, I finally went to the bar. Shortly after that, a waitress came to our table, so I went back and we placed our order. Then came another long wait, we waited about 20 minutes just to get our drinks, even though the bar was nearly empty. On the bright side, the drinks were great. I ordered an El Carajillo, and it was really good! The horchata crème in it was SOOOO good and definitely the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the service issues continued. When the waitress brought the check for me to sign, I realized she had not returned my credit card. I had to track her down to get it back, and while doing so, I ran into another customer who had experienced the exact same thing. They have great drinks and normally provide a good experience, so hopefully this was just an off night.
