The complimentary breakfast was okay, but I wish there had been more variety and additional options to choose from. It was a nice perk, but expanding the selection would make it even better. The only downside is that the hotel itself feels a bit outdated. I think it has so much potential if the property were renovated, including the hallways, bathrooms, and guest rooms. With some updates, it could easily become an outstanding hotel. Overall, I had a pleasant stay. While I don't think the property itself is quite at a 4- or 5-star level yet, the exceptional customer service certainly deserves 5 stars. The staff truly made the experience memorable. Would I stay here again? Absolutely. The location and outstanding staff make it worth coming back. That said, I would love to see the hotel add a small lobby gift shop with snacks, drinks, and travel essentials to make the experience even more convenient for guests. The property has so much potential to truly stand out with some thoughtful updates and renovations. I would honestly love to renovate the entire place because I can see how beautiful it could become. The complimentary cheese and wine hour was a wonderful touch and something I really enjoyed and others as well. As for the cookies, they were good but cheap, but I think it would be even more memorable if the hotel partnered with a local Marin County bakery to offer fresh, locally made cookies or pastries. Supporting a local business would give guests a true taste of the area while creating a unique experience they'll remember. Those little details are what make a hotel stand out, and guests are more likely to remember both the delicious treats and the hotel that introduced them to them.

We come to Sausalito at least once a year and always stay at the Inn Above Tide. It's located on the waterfront and each room has the perfect view of the ocean, looking out towards the city of San Francisco and the San Francisco Bay Bridge. All the rooms have their own private deck where you can relax with a glass of wine or champagne and take in the beautiful views of the city of San Francisco. All the shops and restaurants on Bridgeway St. are within walking distance of the Inn. It is also right next to the Ferry where you can purchase tickets for a ride into San Francisco. When you arrive, you are greeted at the gate of their private parking lot, where your car is safely stored during your stay. Check-in is always easy and all the staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. They offer a Continental breakfast that is served buffet-style in their Drawing Room or you can have your breakfast delivered to your room for a $5 fee. Every evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. they have wine, cheeses, crackers, and fresh fruit for all guests in their Drawing Room. You can also arrange to have this delivered to your room as well. When we arrived to our suite, they had a lovely anniversary surprise waiting for us inside. They had a silver tray on our table, with a white rose, a bottle of champagne, a box of Napa Valley chocolates, and a lovely card to welcome us. When we booked our stay, for this trip, we chose the City Lights Suite. The inside of the suite is beautiful, luxurious, immaculate, and very spacious. The bed was very comfortable. I have an allergy to feathers. They made sure our pillows and bedding did not contain any down feathers. They had fresh, gorgeous orchids in the main part of the suite as well as the en suite bathroom. If you want to watch a movie, they have a huge catalog of DVDs, you can pick from, to watch in your room. They really go above and beyond to make your stay an unforgettable experience. That's why we always come back. I want to especially thank all the staff for making us feel welcome and making our stay extra special.

Service throughout the entire town was disappointing, and the hotel was no exception. Staff consistently seemed irritated by even simple requests and frequently hung up on us when we called the front desk. There is no microwave, no room service, and our suite required climbing roughly 70 steps each time we went up or down. Valet drivers operated recklessly, and retrieving our luggage required multiple calls before we finally asked for our keys and handled it ourselves. When they brought our car around, my partner was so concerned by the way they drove it that she photographed her rims. Dining in town was equally frustrating. Servers rushed us, were not attentive, and didn't offer dessert -- we had to ask several times. We're the type of people who enjoy long, relaxed meals with multiple courses, drinks, and dessert, but everything felt hurried and dismissive. DoorDash drivers didn't want to deliver to the hotel, and when they did, the food arrived cold. Overall, the amenities were lacking, the service was rude, and the entire experience made us feel like an inconvenience. Before you make a reservation you need to ask yourself "am I looking for a place to sleep and shower right by the beautiful bay or am I looking for a luxurious hotel experience?" if it's the latter then this hotel is definitely not for you. I originally booked this hotel for two nights but ended up departing after one night due to the noise level of other guests. I don't think they were particularly loud however due to how the rooms are designed (they are designed more like a hostel, the rooms are literally so close to one another because they tried to fit in as many rooms as they possibly could in such an enclosed space) It was impossible to get a good night's rest. As someone who is very sleep sensitive it's imperative that I get my good hours of sleep in to properly function throughout the day. Robin who works in the front however is very warm and welcoming and will take the time to properly explain how to best utilize your room and the location of the hotel. She will also let you know the best place to park so that you do not end up getting a ticket, the hotel gets a pass from the city to park there for a fee, the fee depends on how busy It is. If I could write a review just based on my interactions with Robin - I would give this place 5 stars but the hotel itself and the room just did not live up to an ideal stay.

I asked the agent if there was another room above mine and was told no. I was also told the room was very quiet. These were both lies. The room was promoted and booked as a cottage, and that implies several things, starting with an understanding that it's a small free-standing building with a modicum of privacy. That was not the case. Our "cottage" was in-fact a ground-floor unit in a fourplex, with people upstairs and artificial turf in front. We shared patio space with our neighbor. He was cleaning his feet as we arrived and immediately asked if he could borrow our outdoor furniture as he was planning to entertain family, which he later did. But the biggest problem--other than the lies at the time of the booking--was upstairs. There was a toddler who spent hours doing wind sprints up and down the uncarpeted floor, and soundproofing was minimal. So, between the garden party next door and Junior Jetrod overhead, we did not have a restful late afternoon and early evening. After 9 pm or so, things quieted down enough to eventually fall asleep. Hotel staff did its best to make things better, and I was permitted to cancel a second night without penalty. But we never should have been there in the first place. Had the reservations agent told the truth, I would have looked elsewhere.

But this was not. I was a loyal IHG customer until now. To top it off, the contractor they used to steal my car made fun of my visual disability.

I had just spent the night in San Jose at an amusingly sketchy hotel, so my expectations were pretty low. This lil lodge is a great location, easy access. Eateries and markets are down the street. Yes, my shutters could use repair, but they were still functional. Room was small, but cozy, fit the bill. Microwave worked, TV, small fridge was nice n cold. For folks not used to traveling, a lot of rooms have single cup coffee makers (just google it if you need help figuring it out, they're pretty simple). To be honest, for the price, being one of the few places in town that still had a room, I wasn't expecting coffee, a fridge, or a microwave, so that was a pleasant surprise. Parking is easy, getting in and out of the property is easy. Yes it is older, so just by virtue of age, you're likely to possibly hear your neighbors shower, or to hear some creaky floors if you're on the bottom floor. It's near water...as someone who lives at the beach, this means bugs might come visit. Knock on wood though, this stay, I haven't yet seen a critter, and thankfully my pup has great ears and a great sniffer, so hopefully would give me a heads up if we had friends. But truly, even the highest end hotels have critters...again, you're near water. I haven't yet taken a shower, but again, my previous hotel started my day with a cold shower and a bar of soap, so my expectations are low. Just happy to be parked outside the room. The room smelled and looked clean when arrived, so that's what mattered most. If you have concerns, check out your room first, and bring up concerns immediately. Anyone can complain online, but if you need assistance, address it immediately. Staff seems friendly and willing to help.

They are in the process of a renovation and our room, though very small, was clean, new paint, flooring, bedding and had recently been renovated. It was very efficient and had a large flat screen TV mounted opposite the king-sized pillow top bed. The bed was comfortable and the TV got all channels, including HBO. The value for the money was key for us so the newly renovated room was a pleasant surprise. I would highly recomment it.

What an amazing resort tucked up away in the mountains within Tuolumne County…read more I've lived up here most my life , my entire childhood , I never knew this place was here, lol. (they need someone on social media, i would think) But this resort is a gem away from daily routine of the normal daily life and great relax at the pool, nice swim , quick dip, or maybe a little relaxation in the hot tub. from the world as we know it. lol. The pool is the heart of this resort , it really is , but sooo worth it. A nice beautiful waterfall on one side , with a cascading waterfall on the other side. looks all Natural, including the ground, looks like sand, and rock. Its beautiful... The pool has a shallow end but gets deeper fast. Pool has a nice lip that goes to the deep end from the shallow, it's roughly 2-3 feet deep for this ledge / lip. Middle of the pool is roughly 5 foot. Deep end is 8 feet deep. The main building is cool , nice hang out for kids or teenagers. lol. The cabin we were at, evergreen 1a was inside the pool area. Nice if you want to be close to the pool, but I can imagine it being noisy in peak season, just FYI. The cabin was nice, a little smaller than I thought but not bad. Totally worth the stay , 1 king size bed, bathroom / shower, small kitchen / Sink, mini fridge, cabinets / already has a few plates as well drink ware... maybe next time I will upgrade to the next cabin? Who knows, nice to have extra space if staying a few days or more. This place is worth the stay, if you like pools / spas , nice views, staying within the mountains and wilderness, but not camping, away from the crowds and lots of people ( that being said I have no idea how full this place gets in peek season. ) You are also within driving distance to Pinecrest, SOnora, and Columbia State Park. The resort is on side of the mountains if im remember right, so you have a small glimpse of whats through the trees, so if you are looking for a view of a lake, or mountain side / Canyon view, you wont find it here, that being said the view is still nice, specially in spring. But I do have to say the stars are amazing at night... Nature is flat out amazing , It was nice to sit out front of our cabin, drinking coffee, and watching the sun come up through the trees, little light rays dancing through the trees... I really liked Our stay here, the pool IS AMAZING, Seemed well kept up, clear water/ no junk in the water or leaves... The cabin was decent, little Rustic feel, which is pretty cool. But did have its issues. SOME OF THE ISSUES I HAD ----- Few things that needed to be fixed in the cabin, bathroom door wouldnt shut, stays open 2 to 3 inchs... lol Tv had issues connecting, or some error with the box, idk, and remote had dead batteries, tv wouldnt turn on, then replaced the batteries = tv turned on, but cable box or something had issues so couldnt really watch much, just a few channels, ( took batteries out of a gaming controller i had packed away in my bag, thus the batteries, lol ) I do feel like its Lacking something, and could have ALOT MORE potential. -- I think it would also have been nice to have some of the following, -- * Place seems a little dead, where are the staff? the office was evenm unstaffed , just had a sign list of names, and cabins, and a Map. Yoiu look for your name, and theres your cabin and your all set for your stay! ;-) The bar at the pool was unstaffed as well. * Maybe towels by the pool, not sure if its a resort, make it feel like a 5 star resort, in the mountains , so how cool is that, but again kinda lacking... * Maybe some social media, I feel like thats lacking as well... discounts in off season?? would be nice, ;-) * Staff the office on weekends? (not sure if its staffed on super busy holidays, or summer?) It is up in the mountains which is a nice and relaxing drive. While I can't comment on the actual lodge since we did not stay, I can comment on how awesome the skating rink is. The owner has been working the skating rink for 45 years! The skating rink is indoors and massive! The have a small office inside where you sign waivers, pay and get your skates. They offer what I like to call "walkers" for the less experienced skaters for an additional $5. The skating fee is $15 plus $5 for skates per person, but there is no time limit on how long you can stay. There is also an indoor seating area that is warmer where you can people watch, but they also have another big area with tables and chairs. We were very impressed with this place and the staff! We'll be back during New Years and plan to visit again! Dress warm if you visit - it is very cold indoors!

It is a smaller rink, but perfect for beginners, or spending the afternoon with the kids. This was the first time I been on the ice since I was 10 and it is much harder than I remembered. It was my boyfriends first time ice skating and he got the hang of it pretty quickly. The kids enjoyed it - the youngest in our party had just turned 3 and he was killing it - doing better than most of us. The cost is minimal $20/person and that includes skate rentals. You can also rent the skate helpers for the kids or the adults who are learning. I ended up using one for a while as it was much more difficult to glide on the ice than I remembered. The kids had so much fun, even asking when we could come back or if they can take ice skating classes. We plan on returning before they close for the season.

We arrived to Sonora by way of Ebbetts Pass, winding down through crystal alpine lakes, faerytale meadows and boulders and forests that speak in quiet and ancient tongues. The pass opened upon amber grasses contrasted against lovely sagey-colored trees and verdant yet rugged vineyards. It turns out the Victorian-inspired Barretta Gardens is overseen with a care as golden as the hue of sepia-colored days gone past and motherlodes once legendary for their bounty. Yet breakfasts are as simple, elegant and memorable as any contemporary B&B can boast. The proprietors Astrid and Daniel run an inn as refreshing as the Moroccan mint tea set out every afternoon to greet us from a hot day exploring Gold Country. We found Barretta Gardens flexible and welcoming to our two boys as well. Our only suggestion is that if they choose to turn off each room's A/C while guests are away for the day that they would turn it back on in anticipation for their return in the evening. Baretta Gardens B&B is a rare treasure I hope more visitors to the area will mine for years more to come.

The gourmet breakfast served was the icing on the cake. Joy her assistant was also such a pleasure. The property is tastefully decorated and located in the perfect spot. We have been camping at Dardanelle Resort for many years every 3 weeks during the season. We have…read morefull hookups and a great fire pit. On site bathrooms are convenient with a private shower. The outdoor bar is fun and lively and there is live music frequently on the weekends. The food truck serves up a great egg breakfast with biscuits and gravy and burgers for dinner. The store has all the little things you forget. We love to sit at the picnic tables and play games as a family and watch the sunset. At night, we love the fire pit by the bar to hangout with other campers and friends. The owners work very hard to make sure every camper and customer is happy. We look forward to camping here for many years to come!
