Volleyball and walkway to winter ice rink

The room was clean and had been updated. No AC , it did have a fan that helped circulate the air. It was not busy on Sunday and Monday. I feel that if they did not require a 2-night minimum stay, they would have better occupancy. I would stay here more often if they had one-night stays during the week. As for the price, if they lowered the price some, they would also bring in more people. I would think that would be better than having empty rooms and cabins. We enjoyed relaxing in the green area and the barbecue area. They have chairs outside the room, but can't see the beautiful grounds because the bushes block the view and need to be trimmed. We did have a relaxing stay, Thank You!

Our daughter LOVES skating here since admission gives you all day access (10-6 or 10-9 on weekends). Very friendly staff, warm seating area with windows on one end, coffee available, good sized ice, and a quaint Christmas theme with lots of windows to enjoy the snow/Sierras outside. Always a fun crowd too whether staying I their cabins or motel next door, or traveling the area for this cool rink.

no idea what that is but it's disgusting.

This place calling itself a 2 star motel is accurate. We stayed in a very dirty room, please see photos. We were attending a wedding on property, or we would have checked out and gone elsewhere. Not only were the beds some of the most uncomfortable I've ever slept on the sink holder was caked in crust, very nasty. The shower was dirty as was the bathroom, the carpet had stains. It's laughable that they charged us 174 dollars per night to stay, it should have been no more than 40 for the room we experienced. It was never cleaned while we stayed and it wasn't clean at check in, also the door did not lock, you could just kick it in, this scared my kids we would not stay again.

We stayed at the LBL this weekend and had such an amazing time! It's been very hot this summer, so it was quite a delight having a pool to cool down in. The LBL is a great family friendly lodge with plenty of activities, including corn hole games, volleyball, and a fire pit area. It is nearby Pinecrest Recreational Park, and is less than a 2 hour drive from Yosemite National Park. Highly recommend booking one of their cozy rooms or even a cabin for a peaceful, quiet getaway in the forest. We had a lovely time!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was the perfect end after camping locally! The Lodge is family-friendly and has created great spaces: big pool with fun floaties included, volleyball net, horseshoe area, and fire pit for roasting marshmallows. The staff was very hospitable and personable as well!

Run down and dirty.. had to change rooms and was still dirty.. Owner would not give refund and we were only there about 2 hours. Did Not do COVID cleaning and not ADA compliant! Won't be back!

The lodge is definitely in rough shape BUT there's new ownership and management and I think in the next couple of months there will be a big shift and change as they're starting renovations around that time! This place has switched ownership so many times it finally feels like they have the right people in place who will do right by this iconic location! Also the skating rink is great and is open 10-9 for just $15/person for all day skating which is a great deal!

It's been quite some time since we have been ice skating. It is $15 a person and $5 if you want the slider thing, usually used for kids. The skates were in good condition. The ice was very rough and bumpy, definitely needed a zamboni to smooth it.

Anyone see any bedbugs ? I saw that they had that problem 2 years ago just making sure!

We are under new ownership since then. We have a monthly inspection and spray (if necessary) around the entire property.

When we arrived, the front desk staff were so nice and friendly and answered all our questions with ease. It really was a wonderful weekend - everyone is so nice and made our stay even better. The Tavern has lots of delicious choices for breakfast, with a wait staff that made sure our coffee cups were always full. One staffer saw us trying to figure out where the ceremony was happening, and they literally stopped what they were doing and walked us to the beautiful ceremony setting; well above and beyond his regular duties. If you have the opportunity to visit Yosemite, a 100% recommend staying at the Evergreen Lodge- we will definitely be coming back.

We stayed on-site for the Christmas holiday and ate all our meals at the Lodge restaurant and tavern. 1) Lodge Accommodations -We always stay in the Deluxe Cabin - King. It's wonderful, cozy, spacious, and always clean. -The staff has always been exceptional, welcoming, and helpful, especially or despite working over holidays. -The nightly s'mores don't hurt -This holiday trip, Dez and Deneja, did a tremendous job with activities and were overall delightful. -Plenty to do (between hikes, games, and relaxing) to unwind with time away from electronics. 2) Restaurant and Tavern I'll start with the good: -The salads are really good and portion is large. -They have several options to accommodate different dietary restrictions. -Elk meatloaf is consistent and delicious -Sea Bass on Christmas was delightful (my husband's entree dish) -Servers & bar tenders are wonderful The bad: [Christmas Eve] Avoid the trout & gnocchi; trout was extremely dry and I'm not sure you could call whatever we received gnocchi. The "gnocchi" was too mushy, not much shape, and had a very off putting taste & fragrance. The worst: [Christmas] It was a prefixed menu, with delicious sounding options. One of the options was a Scotch Egg, seemed like an appropriate choice given the holiday. My husband chose the salad. I wish I had chosen the soup. When the scotch egg arrived, it looked good. Upon cutting, the pork/sausage was raw. The server, Cara (who was amazing the whole meal), apologized and took the dish back. The kitchen made a second attempt and the restaurant or kitchen manager stated that she watched them cook this one longer to ensure it was fully cooked. Well, it was more cooked than the last attempt. However, there were still clearly raw sections closer to the egg. Now, I can understand this isn't a regular menu dish, things happen, usually not a big deal. Yet, the restaurant or kitchen manager (didn't catch her name), decided to gaslight me instead. She said the pink bits are expected given that they use paprika (If that was the case, the rest of the meat wouldn't change colors when cooked nor would it be a different texture). She stated they only had the salad or I'd have to accept this, they were out of other options. Fair. Obviously, I didn't want food poisoning and didn't accept it. Cara did provide a 10% discount and, again, was extremely lovely the whole time. The tone and gaslighting from the restaurant or kitchen manager was completely unacceptable and off putting. We've stayed at Evergreen Lodge multiple times, included over the holidays; dining at the Restaurant and Lodge the majority of meals, with acceptable or great experiences. We'll continue to stay at Evergreen Lodge, but either dine at Rush Creek or select safer/regular menu items when dining here again.

Review #160 - 2020…read more This review was previously written as a 3-star, but then my son came home and realized a few days later that he had forgotten his $200 Ferragamo belt in one of the drawers. Normally, my son shares a room with his younger sister and I; but since his cousins begged him to stay with them, he couldn't say no. If he'd stayed in the same room as us, he would've never forgotten anything because I always tell him to double check everything. He called the owner on Thursday, August 27th, and the owner said he had the belt in his possession. Thank goodness! The owner told us that he would mail it to us--as long as I provided my credit card info to pay for the shipping fee (which I had no problem with), but he didn't know when he would have the time to head to the post office. Fast forward to Monday, August 31st, and the belt arrived safely in our mailbox! Talk about staying on top of it! The hotel may be a 3-star stay, but customer service is definitely 10-star worthy! Thank you!!! ---------------------------------------------- I previously booked a cabin for 12 people about two months ago and as our trip drew near, the group size grew to 16 people so the cabin owner had to cancel our reservation the day before our trip. I was pretty disappointed because all my nieces and nephews were super excited about staying at the cabin. Sadly, they weren't able to accommodate us so I had to start looking for a back up plan. I was able to book four rooms at The Christmas Tree Inn at $160/night. Luckily, my siblings weren't too disappointed with the last minute change. We showed up at around 4 PM on Saturday, August 22nd for an overnight stay. Check-in was super quick and easy. My siblings actually showed up about an hour before me since I had to make a few stops to pick up food & drinks for our group. The owner was nice & easy going. He didn't make a big deal out of the fact that I forgot my mask. Check out was just as easy. He just told us to leave our keys in the room and close the door. The room was clean, but pretty outdated. The a/c worked very well, thank goodness, because it was 90° out plus the smoke from the fire didn't help. There's a picnic table right out front so we made good use of it for our late lunch and breakfast the next morning. There's plenty of available parking since our group was probably the only ones there. The hotel is less than half an hour away from Pinecrest Lake, which was nice.
