However, we never would have expected how amazing the staff would be to make our day special. This hotel might be small but it has everything you'd want in a hotel including amazing amenities such was wine hour, freshly baked cookies, bike rentals, amazing location close to the GG bridge and Sausalito. All of the rooms also have amazing views of the water. The is also an amazing morning breakfast, not like a normal chain Marriot breakfast but much higher quality with vegan options as well. Overall, I am so thankful that we had our wedding at this hotel. Kirstin and her staff went above and beyond to make our day special. A part of me want to gatekeep this location for a wedding since it's honestly perfect but I'd love other couples to enjoy and have the same amazing experience that my wife and I had.

We were optimistic about how quickly it would move, and figured we'd probably wait an hour and half. Wrong! We didn't get our pancakes until 12:30 PM, so the wait ended up being 3.5 hours. Luckily, it was a beautiful day, but we were absolutely starving. I think their ordering system could've been a bit more efficient, since the menu options are so limited. They only have plain and blueberry pancakes (I chose blueberry) with a few sides, so having servers running the orders down seemed unnecessary. Cash and Venmo are accepted, but I recommend bringing cash because service up there is unreliable. The pancakes were pretty good, but my favorite part of the experience was easily the hummingbirds! They have several feeders up on the porch, and I'd never seen so many hummingbirds swarming at once. It was beautiful to watch, especially with the San Francisco skyline in the background. They're pouring soda from a gun, nothing unusual--but when I finished and asked for a refill, I was told there were no free refills. That was surprising, especially given the minimal cost of fountain soda. It wasn't about the money--it was the principle. For the cost of a small refill, they lost a customer and, more importantly, the kind of customer who would otherwise bring friends and recommend the place. Check-in is always easy and all the staff are extremely accommodating and friendly. They offer a Continental breakfast that is served buffet-style in their Drawing Room or you can have your breakfast delivered to your room for a $5 fee. Every evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. they have wine, cheeses, crackers, and fresh fruit for all guests in their Drawing Room. You can also arrange to have this delivered to your room as well. When we arrived to our suite, they had a lovely anniversary surprise waiting for us inside. They had a silver tray on our table, with a white rose, a bottle of champagne, a box of Napa Valley chocolates, and a lovely card to welcome us. When we booked our stay, for this trip, we chose the City Lights Suite. The inside of the suite is beautiful, luxurious, immaculate, and very spacious. The bed was very comfortable. I have an allergy to feathers. They made sure our pillows and bedding did not contain any down feathers. They had fresh, gorgeous orchids in the main part of the suite as well as the en suite bathroom. If you want to watch a movie, they have a huge catalog of DVDs, you can pick from, to watch in your room. They really go above and beyond to make your stay an unforgettable experience.
