Food was great staff were nice. We ordered $40 dollars in food for two of us and the largest drinks. Unfortunately when you ask for a drink refill (iced tea) they want another $5 dollars almost for the large. Just feel this was excessive for a drink refill of iced tea when purchased the largest size. Would gain my business again if this policy changes. read more

Honestly I've had better food from the gas station deli. The chicken quality was rubbery like cafeteria food. Potato salad was like a purée. I took a few bites and then threw it out. read more

I really appreciate the hard work from the ladies at this restaurant. Very busy restaurant and they are always working hard. They do a great job and deserve a lot of credit. Stopped in for a quick bite to eat before a hike and to get wraps to go for the hike itself. Got the hot mess to eat there and it was nice and hearty with plenty of country gravy and melted cheese. Took a chicken bacon ranch wrap to go and it was still good 3 hours later at the top of the mountain. Nice atmosphere and good ole rock music in background. -- but not loud so you couldn't carry on a conversation. Good food and had no problem splitting the barbecue chicken wraps (that were yummy) Next time I'll try their sweet tea. Friendly staff and even the customers.... Visited Rivers Edge Cafe recently after hitting up Old Cannery. If you've been to OC, you know that you need refreshments after all the walking and perusing there is to do in that place! Rivers Edge is adorable. The side of their (small) building has an awesome photo op that I didn't take full advantage of, so don't make the same mistake I did! Make sure to snag a photo of it by itself or with it as the background with whatever goodies you get there! They have all sorts of things here. They've got a breakfast menu, snack menu, lunch menu, BEER MENU... You name it! Normally I would've been tempted to try any one of the great local beers they had available, but I went with a flavored Lotus Energy drink (comparable to the Redbull Spritzers you can get at any other coffee stand). The energy drink was okay. I'm partial to the flavor of RedBull - this one tasted like a powdery energy drink so it wasn't my favorite but it satiated the craving for the time being. I was a little surprised at how long it took to get our drinks. Granted, they've also got a drive through but I don't think they were that busy. It took probably 10+ minutes for us to get four drinks which seemed excessive. Definitely a cute little place to check out if you're in need of a snack, caffeinated beverage, or a brew! read more

Ordered online on the app and it never said it was ready for pick up. Was waiting a while, until I finally decide to come in and ask. When I first walked in, no one acknowledged me, just walked passed me twice. I went to the counter and they asked if they could help me and responded I was ordered online. The customer service was terrible. The employee was giddy and friendly to the other customers but had an attitude with me. The wraps were good, but will never order here again. read more

My friend and I like to catch up and have lunch once a month, she lives in Tacoma and I live in the Lake Tapps area, so we try and meet somewhere in the middle. Today was Rivers Edge Cafe, a cozy little place that seems to be a local favorite, a very friendly vibe. Breakfasts and Sandwiches are the menu, so I chose the Oven roasted yes, oven roasted ( not slimy deli meat ) Turkey, creme cheese, cucumbers, cranberry sauce sandwich, and asked if they could add bacon, Yes they can My friend had a hot sandwich, chicken breast and pesto We both had a pint of a local IPA , they have a nice Tap selection. We enjoyed our lunch date, exchanging belated Christmas gifts, all and all very enjoyable. Thanks ladies, we'll be back. read more

Since I moved up here from the south, I haven't been able to find any place that makes actually good and authentic buscuits and gravy, and sometimes you don't want to make every meal. This place actually makes excellent buscuits and gravy and the rest of their food is awesome. A great place to grab some coffee and breakfast. I trust Yelp to guide me for out of the way places with great food. This was not one of those experiences. We ordered a hot pastrami, a French dip and a lemonade via on-line ordering which I appreciated. The pastrami which was advertised to have sauerkraut, sweet mustard, cheese and pastrami on a french roll, had only the meat and cheese on a very chewy roll, until the last bite when I caught some mustard and kraut. The pastrami had no distinctive flavor. The French dip came with au jus which was liquid salt, also very chewy bread roll. The only winner was the lemonade. So have lots of lemonade and then wander on to the next place. We will try again another time, but not a very good first experience. read more
