Just had a very nice lunch here. Table by the river with good food and attentive service. However, this place is hard to find. It's behind the Clinton Bike Shop along the river. The address is 49 Main Street and your GPS will say you've arrived - but you didn't. . But location aside this is a great lunch spot for a relaxing meal. Will try it for dinner soon. read more

Stopped here by chance after going on a hike with our dog. So dog friendly. She got a bowl of water before we got our water. Lol. The food was delicious and very flavorful. Perfect portions. The waiters were very attentive and pleasant. And best of all having dinner with the river flowing next to you was just the perfect wind down. Will definitely come back. read more

WARNING This place has alcohol on the menu and should be avoided by anyone with a NJ CCW permit. IT IS NOT BYOB as advertised! wine is a alcoholic beverage and served! Otherwise it's very nice, running water from the stream alongside the dining area. Very good assortment of dishes. Average price is reasonable @about 16. Service is excellent, very attentive, hot food and your not rushed out. 5 people with different meals and no complaints, no salt used, and nothing but a pleasant experience. It's to bad that New Jersey has put places like this out of bounds for people who want their 2nd amendment rights ! I would normally give this place 5+ stars and a raving review with my best recommendation (like they actually deserve) but because of NJ law I can't and if it wasn't for the advertisement that it was BYOB I would've avoided sitting or suggesting it in the first place. A disappointment all around. We visited for a birthday lunch on a weekday, just a table of 4. We were seated at 2:30pm and were charged dinner prices, which we did not realize until we got the bill. There was no bread or anything else put on the table besides what was ordered. The portions were either pathetically small and/or excessively salted to the point of being inedible halfway through (the salty pasta sauce had become a gloppy swamp at the bottom). The chicken parm seems to have been a frozen piece of chicken reheated as it was very watery. Service was pathetic, we were not checked on once after getting our food. To top it off, after getting the dinner-priced bill for lunch, there is a $5 fee for credit card charges. Warn about this upfront so that your patrons have cash! If the rest of the visit had been even decent I may not have noticed that $5, but it just went from bad to worse. A sad state of affairs...no shortage of other great options in central jersey, so avoid this mess. read more

I went there while in town the other day and we were very upset. We asked to sit by the water outside and we were seated outside not by the water. Then we were served water and waited almost 15 minutes for a server and no one came. The table who sat down 5 minutes after us were told by their waiter that a table opened by the water and they were moved to that table, when I clearly asked for that before k was seated. Finally I got up and I left. Don't waste your time people, you get that great view by walking on the bridge 100 feet away. There are much better restaurants in that town read more

UPS Flemington NJ. Made an Amazon return. Every time it is different instructions on how or if the item should be packed. This return should have been packed. Go back home or spend money on a box. This is the 1st review I ever wrote in my life Time!! I'm a server and I can justify just about anything for people .. 1st we never got offered anything but water . and they didn't actually offer it , it was just poured in our glass.. 2nd never got asked if we wanted to put in a appetizer, the guy just came over and said ready. no explanations of anything or even ask if we had questions. I'm a waitress and I cant believe how the customer service was. i got the gnocchi and it was decent but we were also starving lol . but the portions were very small.. no bread on the table. no salad with a dinner .. for a fine dining establishment. you would think they would at least have bread.. especially with Italian food .. the server assistant dropped off dessert menus .. and nobody even asked if we were interested in over a 10 min period when they walked right by us 3 sep times. so we just took the check . they lost my business.. to me honestly customer service is key. the food could be terrible but if I have a decent waitress that cares about upselling and has a voice to at least ask if we were ok once then maybe I would try it again. to the establishment.. hire servers that actually want to make money and care about the place they work at. I have been here 4 times within the last 2 months and it is extremely good food and service for this area. My husband and I are not fans of American Italian food so we were wary of this place because we thought it would be "more of the same" that we already have too much of in our area. It's not. The renovations are lovely, the setting is lovely, and the food is excellent. And they don't serve pizza - YEAH! Wow! My wife and I have been here twice and this place is amazing! I am not really a foodie and usually post about service, but the Italian food at this place is incredible! (This coming from an Irish guy!). The food is sophisticated, this is NOT a pizza place. I started with the meatballs which were light and heavenly with an amazing flavor. My wife had the flounder francese and I have honestly never seen her clean her plate before. She loved it. I had the cheese ravioli and omg, the pasta was so fresh and the sauce was so tasty! (On our first visit I had the mushroom ravioli which I dreamed about every night since because it was that good. I was going to order it again but pushed myself to try something new. Okay, so I went with another ravioli!) For desert we shared the gelato and it was so rich and flavorful, totally amazing! The only other time I tasted gelato like that was in Florence. The white linen tables and superb service add to the charm of this place overlooking the red mill in Clinton. Forget about NYC quality Italian food, this is ITALY quality Italian food!
