We used to frequent about once a week this week. The food was not so great. It just was off from what it normally is.

While my sister and I were staying in Tennessee, a snowstorm had shut down several restaurants. I…read morehadn't eaten at Red Lobster in a long time, so we decided to go there. Because of the storm, there were only two employees running the entire restaurant. There was a wait to be seated, a delay in getting our food, and another wait when it was time to pay. But honestly, we didn't mind given the circumstances. The restaurant didn't have the heater running, so eating inside felt like we were dining outside in the snow. Despite that, the waiter was friendly and attentive, doing the best he could while juggling everything. I absolutely love Red Lobster's biscuits. They were warm, buttery, filled with cheddar, and completely addictive. I ordered the Lobster Lover's Duo, and everything was delicious. I was so full I didn't even have room for dessert.

Disappointing Dinner Experience…read more We stopped by Red Lobster in Sevierville, TN during peak dinner hours and were surprised to see only a few cars in the lot--should've taken that as a sign. Our waitress was friendly, but clearly stretched thin trying to cover both the bar and tables. As a result, service suffered--our drinks were only refilled once, and that was right as we were finishing up. Unfortunately, the food didn't redeem the experience. It lacked flavor and tasted like it might've come straight from the freezer. Not sure if this location is just off its game or if Red Lobster overall isn't what it used to be. We won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Served with sour cream and ranch (lettuce and tomatoes). My BFF, order the fettuccine Alfredo and it was so good. I actually had a bite. We both left extra food at the table because we're both stuffed. The ambience was great. They were having a performer. He started at 6:30. We got to hear a few songs he was singing some country and some rock. The service was phenomenal and friendly. We would highly recommend. Good prices.

Most of the stuff I've tried are fried; they do a great job with fried food. Avoid the Buffalo chicken quesadilla. Service can be a bit slow so I'd recommend going earlier than 5pm. I plan to check out the wings special on Thursday one day. $0.50 wings is a good deal! $9.95 Fried green tomatoes 5/5 Appetizer that not many restaurants offer so I had to get it here and it was awesome! $15.95 cheese curds 3/5 It was meh. I wouldn't order this app again. $13.95 Catfish fillet (fried) 4/5 Choice of fried or blackened. I chose fried. It's served over rice and you can choose 2 sides. I chose fried okra and onion rings; onion rings were a +$2 upgrade. Everything fried was good. The rice was meh. $14.95 Buffalo chicken quesadilla 0/5 Husband ordered this. He wouldn't order it again. $14.95 jumbo shrimp platter 5/5 Fried or sautéed jumbo shrimp served over rice with two sides. I tried my friend's fried shrimp: very good and large shrimp. $13.95 Chicken Fried Chicken I didn't try this one but it looked good. Heard no complaints from my friend.

Cracker Barrel in Sevierville, especially Lexi and Justice, deserves a big shoutout!…read more Vibes: I love the decor at every Cracker Barrel. Their country-folk, rustic American theme is always so charming. Service: The service, particularly at this dinner, was outstanding! We visited on two consecutive mornings for breakfast and were greeted cheerfully by Lexi and Justice. They were warm, friendly, and prompt. Food: This Cracker Barrel is my favorite breakfast spot when traveling. I love their menu, portion sizes, and of course, the prices. On the first day, I had the "Good Morning Breakfast" with egg whites, sausage, fruit, crispy hash brown, and tomatoes. The eggs weren't greasy; they were simple, delicious, and nothing to complain about. On the second day, I decided to indulge and ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with their syrup. The pancakes came with a dollop of whipped butter. They were extremely fluffy with a beautiful golden crust, truly delicious. My husband ordered the Sausage & Egg Casserole, which he quietly relished. The portion was huge, but since I hate to waste food, I ate it all and considered it my lunch too. The mocha I ordered was also excellent; it was a perfect end to my meal. Cracker Barrel was a great start to my day, thanks to the wonderful staff and the tasty food.

I have used two locations in the past 18 months. Solid, enjoyable, filling. This location in Sevierville is a bit away from the craziness of that town, plenty of parking. You feel safe. I had the chicken tenders--generous serving, tasty, and, again, filling. But what I really have enjoyed is the cornbread--better than most is that it's crisp but still soft texture inside. Not a rock, like most. And the fried apples are still winners, along with the Mac and cheese. Excellent road fare. The stores continue to address service--my server was charming and efficient--and to add items, like old school candies, that actually catch your eye. It's a comfortable place and I have appreciated not being rushed as a solo traveler. No, the Barrel is not a country store--there are so few of those--but as a roadside tradition that gives you time to reset and recharge, it's worth a visit, or two.
