Service: The service, particularly at this dinner, was outstanding! We visited on two consecutive mornings for breakfast and were greeted cheerfully by Lexi and Justice. They were warm, friendly, and prompt. Food: This Cracker Barrel is my favorite breakfast spot when traveling. I love their menu, portion sizes, and of course, the prices. On the first day, I had the "Good Morning Breakfast" with egg whites, sausage, fruit, crispy hash brown, and tomatoes. The eggs weren't greasy; they were simple, delicious, and nothing to complain about. On the second day, I decided to indulge and ordered the chocolate chip pancakes with their syrup. The pancakes came with a dollop of whipped butter. They were extremely fluffy with a beautiful golden crust, truly delicious. My husband ordered the Sausage & Egg Casserole, which he quietly relished. The portion was huge, but since I hate to waste food, I ate it all and considered it my lunch too. Cracker Barrel deserves more love from the traveling public. If you are surrounded by fast food places and there's a Barrel there, go for it. I have used two locations in the past 18 months. Solid, enjoyable, filling. This location in Sevierville is a bit away from the craziness of that town, plenty of parking. You feel safe. I had the chicken tenders--generous serving, tasty, and, again, filling. But what I really have enjoyed is the cornbread--better than most is that it's crisp but still soft texture inside. Not a rock, like most. And the fried apples are still winners, along with the Mac and cheese. Excellent road fare. The stores continue to address service--my server was charming and efficient--and to add items, like old school candies, that actually catch your eye. It's a comfortable place and I have appreciated not being rushed as a solo traveler. No, the Barrel is not a country store--there are so few of those--but as a roadside tradition that gives you time to reset and recharge, it's worth a visit, or two. read more

Always a consistent experience with good food, well trained, guest oriented servers and hostesses. Love to stop at Cracker Barrel when we're on a road trip. We stopped in for dinner on our way back to Pennsylvania. The food was all wonderful! We got a mix of things, including steak, eggs, pancakes, biscuits, steak, fries, and fruit. We got seated pretty quickly as they were busy. The food was all hot and fresh. Our server was very nice and it had a great feel inside the restaurant comparable to other Cracker Barrel locations. I would say the only reason I gave four stars is it look like there was lots of employees who were either eating food or chewing gum walking around the restaurant. I ordered catfish with fried okra, cole slaw, and turnip greens. It also came with three smallish hush puppies, and my husband and I both wanted biscuits. The cole slaw and hush puppies were good. Their turnip greens are my favorite, but these were barely edible. I managed two bites - not large ones - of the catfish, but it had no taste and I was afraid it was close to swimming away. Same for the okra, minus the swimming. My husband said his meal was good, but he ordered differently. I won't even start on the guy who processed my payment, but if he's not A.I. generated, he's missing a great chance. Not my, nor their, finest hour. It's been quite a few years since I've been to a Cracker Barrel. But this location is one to revisit again and again. Came in around half passed five on a Thursday night and our party of three was seated immediately. Mariah was our waitress and she did a good job. She helped us with our orders and was very kind. I have gotten where I only use CB for breakfast and t hat has remained solid. Typical interior other than this location was cleaner than many I have been in recently. Service was solid but that has been pretty much a given at CB even though they have jacked up the menu. Had the French toast and eggs with bacon and a side of hashbrowns. They bacon was fried to perfection. Great job though getting out is a challenge with all the shoppers. read more

I gave two stars due to the fact my fried Chicken dinner was good. My husband got the beef tips and they were uneditable. They smelled to high heaven and tasted worse. I took them home and our dog would NOT eat them. They smelled rancid. As per our waitress she didn't get the billing right. How hard is 3 meals two drinks. I ordered water got charged 3.29 for a water she put down Dr. Pepper I've not drank soda in more than 20 years. Our waitress put the bill down and never gave us the opportunity to order dessert. My only solace is my Birthday meal was editable. We were the only ones that had to ask for our biscuits, which came after the meal with no butter in jam which we had to ask for a few times. I cannot figure out why this place is rated so high? I have been here 3 times in 7 years and still not impressed. Service people are very slow and confused. Food quality is okay at best. I like the restaurant's vintage interior and location. I still believe that Waffle House is much better and less expensive. Wish I could learn to like Cracke Barrel because they are at every exit. They were able to accommodate our group of 50 people. They seated us in groups of 4. Waitress was very friendly and able to answer all of our menu questions. If you want to eat somewhere where the staff and management are friendly and offer you good service then go somewhere else, for example the Cracker Barrel 10ish minutes from here on Winfield Dunn PKWY. The staff here, including the manager, are horrendously unprofessional and rude. I was going to meet a friend here and have lunch with her. She arrived before me and wanted to go ahead and get a table and order some coffee while she waited for me, knowing that I was only a few minutes away. The host wouldn't give her a table and when she asked for the manager he came out and wouldn't give her a table either, despite having several available. I arrived about five, maybe ten, minutes after this and after learning about the situation I asked the host and manager about this and they said it was against their company policy to let someone get a table and wait for the rest of their party to arrive, even if they are a paying customer (and yet the Cracker Barrel down the road has no problem with that?). When I arrived I saw many empty tables, some for 4 people and some for 2. This is the worst Cracker Barrel I've ever been to and will never be coming back, not that it matters but I want everyone to know what to expect if they come here. read more

Great location, just off the highway towards the Smoky stadium on top of the hill. Walking in we was immediately seated, busy, busy place. Ordered the country fried steak, mashed potatoes and corn. Everything turned out great, hot and fresh. These waitresses and waiters in here are great at what they do...kudos to the cooks as well...not rushed, not panicked. I had lunch at Cracker Barrel today, and it was very good. I had the vegetable plate which included 4 vegetables. They were all very delicious. The biscuits were warm and they brought the blackberry jelly I requested that was a wonderful dessert! I've never had a bad experience at a Cracker Barrel. Other than hitting the place during the breakfast rush when you'll be waiting as much as an hour for a table, everything has always been quite consistent at all of them - shop full of overpriced knick-knacks and high-sugar candies, restaurant with Southern foods. Blindfold me and I could not tell one Cracker Barrel from another. Every one is exactly the same! Today's lunch was no different. I arrived between the lunch and dinner hours, so I knew there wouldn't be much of a wait. For some reason, my stomach ordered us a cheeseburger with fries. I'm not sure why I went with that when there are so many other perfectly good options - broiled catfish, chicken pot pie, meatloaf sandwich and of course their breakfast menu is good all day - but that's what we had. The burger arrived with the usual fixings - tomato, lettuce and sweet slices of pickle. Steak fries were good and I tried not to eat all of them. Waitress refilled my water glass as often as I emptied it (driving 1000 miles is apparently thirsty work). Picture attached. Well, we were traveling in the area with family and i had completely forgotten about the previous visit until we were seated. This time Preston S. Was our server and he alone has changed my mind about this place. The food came in a reasonable amount of time, it was exactly what we all ordered, he was attentive and checked in with us several times, refilling drinks and bringing additional items as requested. I haven't been to Cracker Barrel for almost 3 years and the food is still decent. THe service here is pretty good given the covid restrictions. Our waiter was fantastic and attentive.
