Pro tip: Spicy salsa and normal mixed with chips!
Jason S.

First time at Don Marcos and we love Mexican food. To start ask for the spicy salsa and mix it with the normal table salsa for a bit of a perfect blend of flavor and heat. The location is clean and not very loud even when full. Nice staff and friendly for new guests. I ordered the Pina Rellena Fajitas which is a mixed meat fajita plate ( chorizo, steak and chicken) served in a PINEAPPLE! The juice soaks into the spicy fajita flavors in a sweet surprise. I have only been here once, but if a local this would be it for me! A real delight. My wife and daughter split the chicken fajitas single. It was plenty for the two of them. They liked the flavor and loved the rice and beans. Very authentic rice and beans. Guacamole was ver good also. One critique is the inclusion of tomatoes in the fajitas. They did not like them as it seemed to dilute the fajita flavor with too much extra liquid. But we all went away happy.

Sometimes when a place first opens its very popular, and then portions, service, cleanliness, go down hill! I am afraid the day we stopped by, this was the case. Mid afternoon, and we were spotted menus, table had residue from the day. I wiped with a wetone, and ordered, our usual attentive server was not as prompt. And we had to ask for many items. And when our food came it was missing items the menu said it had. At that point my hubby I could see was disappointed, and so was I We ate our meal, but last time we were in the area and I said honey you want to try Mexican he said not really. So we shall see, I, this business consistency is important, and cleanliness.

So happy to see a good Mexican restaurant in Kodak. After being to El Paso many times I can't say that the food is even authentic Mexican anymore. It's an Americanized Taco Bell imitation. Moving on, this a great hole in the wall located beside the Food City plaza in Kodak. The tiny place churns out great fajitas, chimichangas, and get the Molcajete! It was chicken, beef, steak and shrimp in a cast iron bowl smothered with cheese. I ate it three times it was so much food for 13$ it doesn't get any better. Not sure if they have liquor yet but I live so close it doesn't matter. Very personable staff and zero language barriers. They also do lunch specials even on Saturdays. Gracias!!!

Great food at reasonable prices! I had the shredded chicken quesadillas. Chicken was the most tender I have ever had.

The manager stopped by at our table to see if everything went well and if we were enjoying our food. (Which we were!!) the grilled Caesar salad was scrumptious, and the kids Mac and cheese was finger licking good! You could tell that the Mac and cheese was house made because it tasted super fresh. The decoration inside was cool and definitely gave sea food vibes. The food came out very quickly as well as desert. I recommend the cheesecake it was velvety goodness. Even though the menu font was a tad hard to read and the key lime pie was more of a cheesecake feel, it's still a no brainer. 5 stars!!!

This review is based solely on our experience, and I apologize in advance for the length, but I…read morefeel it's important to share. We made a reservation in advance for a party of seven to celebrate a birthday. Upon arrival, we were told it would only be a few minutes before we were seated. Those "few minutes" turned into approximately 30-35 minutes. When we were finally seated, our table was directly in front of the kitchen--not exactly my preferred location, but we decided to make the best of it. Unfortunately, being able to see directly into the kitchen turned out to be one of the worst parts of the experience. We watched the kitchen staff, chef, and manager behaving in what appeared to be a completely unprofessional manner, with staff goofing around rather than focusing on service. We ordered mostly steaks, as you would expect when dining at a premier steakhouse, including several of the more expensive items on the menu. It took approximately 45 minutes for our food to arrive. During that time, we continued to watch the kitchen staff carrying on and playing around in a completely open, visible kitchen. When our food finally arrived, three of the steaks were significantly overcooked. Mine was practically raw and had a terrible "musty" taste and smell. At the time, I chose not to complain, but looking back, I absolutely wish I had. For a birthday celebration at a chophouse, this was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Our bill was nearly $400 before the tip, which makes the quality of the food, service, and overall experience even more disappointing. My advice: stay away from this particular location. Based on our experience, it simply wasn't worth the money or the frustration.

They literally have every fast food and chain dining experience on one block, but I didn't know that at the time but I'm tired of road trip Food so wanted to sit down for a good meal! Pulling into the parking lot and I was overwhelmed because it was huge and very crowded! We go to the desk and they tell us 25 minutes. This place was huge and very accommodating, they were getting people to their tables fast! We noticed two empty seats at the bar, so we opted to take them and had the pleasure of being served by Robert. He was attentive, made sure our waters were always full. He gave recommendations on his favorite dishes and was all around a great bartender! The guy working the other end of the bar was equally as professional. The ambience is a dark cool vibe, little trendy but people were dressed pretty casually! Answer the most important thing...The food! For an app, we got the beer, cheese fondue that came with apples, bread and pretzels. The beer cheese had a little bit of ooomph to it, which was refreshing because usually I'm not a big mustard person. The pretzel bites were incredible crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The apples were fresh all around the appetizer for 3 to 4 people so we took extra home. I ordered the 10 ounce sirloin cooked, medium with the web sweet potatoes and a side Caesar salad for a three dollar charge which ended up being a full-size salad! It was super fresh and gigantic for a side salad. The steak was cooked perfectly, in the middle with an insane sear. Their house, butter that they put on it truly elevated the flavor profile. I tried the sweet potatoes mashed and they were enjoyable, but I do not enjoy a sweet side with my food so I knew I was going to donate them to my husband and he said they were incredible, the flavor was definitely there just not my cup of tea, but I knew that from the beginning . He got the Caesar salad with grilled chicken! It had so much flavor and tastes incredible but yet melted in your mouth it was the most tender chicken I've ever had in my life, and the flavor was all there! Not even the slightest bit of any kind of dryness. One of the best bites of chicken I've ever had.! He ordered the bison meatloaf to go, and that comes with caramelized mashed potatoes and fried onion straws.... It smells incredible and I will update when we try it . * UPDATE: best meatloaf ever!!! Based on the quality/ experience on a very busy night- everything was phenomenal and I will return. Service 10/5 Food 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 Value 5/5

We had an AMAZING dining experience and encourage you to experience Seasons 101 for yourself…read more We made a reservation online for a party of 4 and dined there on Sunday, Memorial Day weekend. We were greeted and seated promptly in a lovely little alcove near their patio, the perfect spot for old friends catching up. Our server, Olivia, was phenomenal, offering insight and recommendations into their seasonal menu items. We started with cocktails and appetizers. We loved the Roasted Beet Salad and Crab Bisque. Deee-licious! We then moved on to our entrees: Filet mignon (prepared Medium) w/caramelized onions & garlic mashed potatoes. The filets were seasoned and cooked perfectly - melt in your mouth, oh soooo good! Prime rib steak sandwich with caramelized onions & melt cheese. Opted for a side of grilled zucchini instead of fries. Also a big hit with our friend. I chose the night's feature dish of halibut and couscous. Nicely prepared and delicious. Though we didn't have room for dessert, once Olivia brought the dessert tray by, we quickly made room! My husband chose the Blueberry Bread Pudding. Of course I had to taste! I'm typically am not a fan of bread puddings due to being heavy and somewhat gummy! This one was absolutely light, and yummy allowing the blueberries to shine. Our friends shared the NY cheesecake with fresh strawberries. Also, light, fluffy and delicious! I chose the key lime pie with toasted coconut sprinkled on top. Incredibly good with light tartness though I prefer more tart. Still, it ranks up there as one of the best I've found. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails, food, ambiance, decor, and our server, Olivia. Ample portions, reasonable/comparable pricing, and delicious/creative menu. Bravo, Seasons 101! Bravo!! P.S. They also have a lovely outdoor dining area, if you so desire.

Too many blunders for a restaurant that charges as much as it does…read more I was on Yelp and saw the photos of gorgeous looking plates. Decorated so nicely. Went and placed a reservation. We showed up for our 6:30 reservation at 6:20 and there was no hostess at the station and no one would greet us. Took roughly 5 minutes of standing there and one waitress acknowledged us and said someone would be there shortly. Waited roughly 10 mins and was greeted by what I assume was the manager. We told her of our reservation and she had to think about it and seemed like she wasn't prepared for us as she looked over at the dining tables and scanned them over, then said something along the lines of should be all set. Considering the reservation reminds you a few times before you go to make sure you make your reservation, I expected it to be more welcoming. The restaurant was very nicely decorated. Definitely oozed a classy ambiance, so I was pretty excited from seeing that and the online photos of the food. We ordered drinks and a Fig and Pear Burrata appetizer as it was one of the many few items on the menu that was gluten-free for my SO. We made it a point to tell the waitress she has celiac. She was nice and said we could get the pita and a toasted gluten-free roll on the side. They brought over some pita bread and a whipped hummus spread. My SO asked if they had anything with her without gluten, but they said no. She was kind of bummed. When they brought the appetizer to us, they gave her the roll on a plate. It was cut up kind of nicely and the burrata with more pita bread lined around it. We mentioned that was a no-go and they brought it back to the kitchen and said the chef was having an off day. I got my drink, it was an old fashioned with pecan bourbon and cocoa nibs. It was very nice. For the app, I was underwhelmed by the flavors in the fig and pear burrata. I felt it was lacking either sweet or salty. It wasn't bad by any means, but it wasn't anything special. For my meal, I ordered the Hunter's platter. It has Elk Tenderloins, Duck and a rack of Lamb. The duck was dry as a bone and the fat was firm compared to other places I've been to. The Elk was nice and juicy. Probably the highlight of the dish. The lamb was cooked pretty well, but I found it was difficult to get off the bone. The prosciutto infused sauce was ok. It was mostly like gravy. My palate kept getting attacked by random horseradish that was in the potatoes which I wasn't expecting. At one point, I ate my cherry from my old-fashioned while I had a bite of the lamb and it was nice. I could see maybe a cherry or cranberry glaze or bordelaise reduction going well with the dish. The desserts looked good, but I was all pita'd out from the earlier dishes. For what we paid, I wasn't too impressed. Compared to other restaurants in this area, it was good, but I can't say it registered from places I've been at home.
