Taco Ranch is a relatively new establishment in Pigeon Forge, and it's different from the typical restaurant, so we were excited to try it. Their menu is displayed on the wall, which made it a little difficult to decide while standing in line. They may have had printed menus available, but we didn't see any. When ordering, each taco is sold individually for around $6-$8 each, which can get pricey for a family. (We are a family of four.) To start, we ordered the loaded fries, and everyone in my family enjoyed them. The birria taco and chicken taco were both really good. However, the buffalo chicken tacos my husband ordered were terrible. My daughter didn't like her taco, but she is also pretty picky, so that may not reflect everyone's experience. The service was good. They bring the food to your table, but you clear your own plates afterward. The restaurant had a decent setup with metal tables and chairs. Overall, the prices are a decent for a family of four if everyone only gets one taco each. The tacos are decent depending on what you order. read more

We stopped here for lunch today and I took one bite of my taco and immediately said "this is the best taco I've ever had in my entire life!" I had the Avocado Taco and we also ordered two more. Lunch was so good we ended up also door-dashing the Loaded Nachos, Boneless Chicken Wings and Pepperjack and Chive Tots for dinner instead of eating our hotel restaurant food. I will say Taco Ranch hit the spot, when my little requested tacos for dinner after our long ride, Taco Ranch was high on the option list. The food was ok, not bad but nothing fantastic. Hit the spot so I'd say worth a try. Everything was made from scratch, including the tortillas, which we watch be made. The CARNE ASADA CHIMICHURRI tortillas had a grainy texture so I wasn't a huge fan of that but the rest was good. The buffalo boneless chicken wings were good, the fries were meh. Even though they were seasoned they were either cooked too long or were sitting there too long because they were tough. Did not like. Their Elote was AMAZING, I ate two myself. The nachos were just basic nachos, I did feel like the meat was watered down but my little was happy and ate half the serving they gave, and that was HUGE. I don't eat gluten or dairy, which turned out to be an issue. Taco spots are usually a safe bet, but not here. The staff understood the dairy restriction and clearly marked the ticket; I even heard the kitchen call it out. That said, most of the sauces appear to be dairy-based, so I ended up with dry tacos. Gluten was more problematic. Despite explaining multiple times that this is not a preference, one taco still arrived with pita pieces on it. If cross-contamination matters to you, I'd recommend skipping this place. We visited on a Saturday night. The restaurant was steady with a live band, but it was loud enough that conversation at the table was difficult. read more

You enter to Menus on the wall, specials on boards and you order at the counter. They offer a full bar as well, which you can sit at and enjoy a game at one of their many tvs. The venue space is rather small so don't plan on a large group gathering. If you are looking for plain meat and cheese tacos- this isn't going to be the place for you. They serve up tacos with a twist. Combining items that may sound odd, but are truly spectacular!!! So often you get a burger or taco with lots of flavors and it just doesn't live up to the hype. But the crispy avocado taco had a ton of flavors, and I could taste them all individually and also taste how well they worked together. The service was quick and friendly. Chose this as their taco selection sounded quirky and indeed they all are, although many had one or two ingredients that we usually wouldn't care for, but if you are adventurous with flavors, this is right up your alley. The Nashville Hot Chicken taco was interesting overall but confusing in its competing flavor profiles. Not a dislike necessarily but odd. The Loaded Nachos with picadillo and gochujang queso were amazing though and big enough to share for the table. The onion rings were good, and the chimi-ranch and harissa ketchup were very good. We tried an assortment of tacos and have narrowed it down to our favorites which were the buffalo chicken, pig and the fig and the Seoul sister. The favorites came about because we thought they were the most flavorful and had the best balance of flavors. The food is freshly prepared and they make their own corn tortillas fresh which is hard to find these days and it makes all the difference.
