This place is a gem amidst a sea of corporate chain sandwich shops. I was running errands around lunchtime and, feeling peckish, I thought about something to eat. Now I had many more errands, so road food was the order of the day. But how many burgers can you eat? There are even some pretty good independent burger joints, but sometimes, you just want a sandwich. Now, for context, our progeny ate a school lunch maybe a half dozen times, total, throughout their school years. Most of the time, I made lunch, and the centerpiece was the sandwich. Carefully selected meats, fresh veggies, a wide variety of sauces (they can't even eat a roast beef sandwich to this day without a bit of horseradish in there somewhere) were combined with excellent bread. That is what I wanted. That is what I got. The bread choices are white or brown, but that's because the emphasis is on the interiors. The Italiano, with pastrami, salami, and pepperoni, is a classic combination, with provolone, pepperoncini, and "all the fixins" (In response to whether or not I wanted "everything" I replied "Fuck me up, sandwich sensei!") because I firmly believe in allowing the restaurant to present you with their wares, and let you decide if you like them. Now, the-woman-who-lets-me-live-with-her (thanks Mike), cannot stand black olives, but in this sandwich, they provide such a tempering influence of slightly salty, slightly bitter counterpoint to the sweet bell peppers, that it would have been poorer without them. I thought I was only going to eat about half and then save the rest, but I just couldn't help myself. I ate the whole dang thing. The vibe is classic sandwich shop, there is someone at the end of the line freshly slicing more meats as needed while two people turn out submarine deliciousness for an anxious crowd. Do not miss this place, it is a gem.

We try to shop local businesses when we can, cause Subway is just too expensive and the guy that…read moreowns all the ones in Yakima doesn't honor the specials advertised on TV. So, we TRIED to order from Sub Shop, however, they roll their sidewalks up at 5pm. And you can't order online after 4:30pm. Talk about a reason to "Yakima-don't buy into it". They claim to be cheaper than anyone else on subs, but you know, not by a significant amount. So, we went to Jersey Mike's instead cause they were not THAT much more and they seem to understand that sometimes, people work til 5pm or beyond. Would have loved to shopped local, but Sub Shop just makes it too difficult to do so.

Some of us at work ordered 3 breakfast burritos from his trailer parked near 24th & Washington Ave…read more They were made within 10 minutes: nice and fast. They were a good size but not quite as large as the ones we get from our usual restaurant. Taste was very good but not quite as good as our usual spot. Price was better than our usual spot though. We tried the different salsas. The hot wasn't as hot as I'd like but it was okay, although a bit too salty in my opinion. The medium was also a bit too salty. The mild had good flavor. Convenience of him being right by work is wonderful. The price is great and the food is good, it's just that our normal spot makes larger burritos, albeit for a slightly higher price. Owner is super friendly. Would probably have again.
