Quick service. The young lady there was very nice & helpful. Their quality of coffee is great- I love my drinks sweet but not too sweet & their white mocha was a perfect start to my day!

Inside is comfy & great place to hang out, meet people, do your stuff in a great environment. I totally enjoy this space.

New to Yakima! Indaba is a very special place for meeting friends, having a cup of uniquely blended tea, or a great cup of coffee. There are bagel sandwiches, burritos, and sweet treats to eat as well. The shop just opened in early November. There are surfaces that haven't been touched! It is shiny & new. The staff are super friendly and capable. My order was just right! It's on the corner of two very busy streets and has an entrance on both streets (don't believe Google maps). There is also a drive thru, but I was happy inside. This is not your Grandma's coffee shop! But I bet she would love it! (Don't let her see the prices)

Their coffee is delicious, as are their house made flavorings. The butterscotch keeps me coming back whenever I'm in town.

Basalt Roasters - bean grind pour

Basalt Roasters

Adding to the continued expansion of awesomeness, Yakima now has its own nano roasters!…read more A lovely couple started roasting beans out of their house about 6 months ago and had such a following that they decided to open up a little shop from which to sell said roasty beans! Located off Tieton next to a salon, a gym and a taqueria, it's a perfect place to grab your fix and go. This isn't a coffee shop, but rather a roaster, so you're only buying beans. The place is only open a couple times per week for folks to pick up orders (or buy more) and also for the roasting to be done. A quick tour revealed some really cool stuff they've done! Currently they're offering 4 different types of beans that they've sourced from all over the world. They're working to make sure the beans are fairly sourced from farmers in different regions so they have a variety and maintain the integrity of the product. It's pretty rad at its core! Non-pretentious, solid coffee, that benefits the people buying and selling it. The store is small, but with lots of character. The roaster they use is American made with American materials and is 100% awesome! Said roaster is the centerpiece and the art on the walls is from local artists. They've decided to not take a commission to everything that's sold benefits the ladies who've produced that pictures. Good stuff! At present, the bags retail for $15 each and they've got beans from Ethiopia, Sumatra and Mexico. Not the least expensive coffee you'll find, but truthfully not bad. It's less expensive than most of the stuff you'll find at any national chain, but this is actually benefiting the area A welcome addition to town and run by some great folks! Even if you don't like coffee, you definitely know someone who does, and as such it's worth your time to get them a bag of beans from here!

Finally we have an amazing coffee roaster in Yakima!!!…read more I went to Basalt Roasters on a Monday and it was tiny but BEAUTIFUL inside. The owner showed me the various kinds of coffee beans they carry. She was very friendly and eager to help me. They only had Latin American single origin coffee beans at that moment. I bought the Guatemalan and Mexican coffee. I tried them both and I fell in love the Mexican single origin coffee. The Mexican coffee smells so intoxicating and it tastes amazing. Unlike most coffee beans, they did not smell or taste burnt. They were bright and rich. The only downside of this place is that they're only open on Mondays and on certain hours during the day. If you're a coffee snob or just love coffee in general- I would totally recommend this place.

It's got a great location just off the main street in downtown, and was quite a lovely little space. Very much designed for people to come in, spread out and converse, it was a very warm and inviting sort of spot. The coffee offerings have a definite, Mexican flare to them, and were very nice. They had standard offerings and then a number of specials on a sort of fresh sheet. They had plenty of coffee and Mexican culturally centric items for sale as well as some clothing. Nice stuff to look through and most would find something they enjoy! The pictures in the wall were as expected, until I saw a print that read "Excess in Moderation". I found out it's by an artist named Ravi Zupa and now it may be my favorite picture! Back to the coffee - The ladies working here were very friendly and everything came out quick. All in all, a really cool spot with a great local vibe and pizzazz running throughout! You should check it out.

Recently moved back, visited the new space, and love love love the vibes, the food, and STILL my favorite coffee in Yakima. I will definitely be back to try more of the food and it will definitely be one of my "third spaces". Highly suggest taking the time to stop and visit.

Very promising place that sounds like it roasts its own coffee beans and has a lovely airy and…read morespacious vibe. The coffee was excellent; however, the service left us with a bad taste. We ordered a plain coffee, flavored latte, and cappuccino from this place. Two people in my group noted that they were greeted with sass or attitude from the cashiers when they tried to order "normal" coffee drinks, like just a black coffee or a cappuccino, since the menu doesn't list anything other than their specialty drinks. Seems like they really drive you to buy the expensive flavored stuff and don't like people trying to order the basics. One person in my group said they liked the flavor of their cappuccino and the other said the coffee was just fine, nothing special. I ordered their Yukon Joe and asked for it in my cup, which they were happy to do. Drink came out quickly. I could really taste the flavor of the bourbon roasted beans. Be warned, they apparently put 5 pumps of syrup in their 12 oz drinks. I asked for just 1 and it was still so sweet I wondered if they forgot and gave me more syrup than I asked for... Other random stuff: They offer wi-fi. You have to ask the cashier for the password. They have a room you can book for meetings, which was being occupied by a pop-up tattoo vendor. Random but cool...? One thing I did not like was being charged a credit card fee without being warned at first. Overall, drinks were good but service seems to be a hit or a miss. (Based on a few other reviews, more a miss than a hit...) Prices are high as they offer more "specialty" coffee and we felt customer service could be better.

I love this place!! The space is clean and cozy, there are plants all around. It's so cute!…read more Their service is fast and the staff is so friendly! They remember me every time I go in. Every dish or drink I've tried has been phenomenal and I haven't been disappointed. I have specially liked their pumpkin white chocolate latte. Thank you for a great experience!
