We really enjoyed our drinks here. It took us a little bit to figure out where to go as the address was off. It is now in the brewery. We got a latte and one of their homemade Mexican Mochas. We also got a couple of breakfast sandwiches. Everything was really good, although our breakfast sandwiches weren't really very hot. It would've been better if they were hot and not just lukewarm. We pass through the area once a year when we go to the Gorge in WA from CA. This place used to be in an old church so we were looking all over for a church building, but it has recently been relocated about a block away and is now a part of a brewery. The place smells lovely (like a good coffee shop should smell) and it is super cute. There is a ton of seating both inside and outside and there are even games you can play if you stay and have your coffee. I wish that they had at least one vegan pastry that I could grab with my coffee, but I at least the coffee is solid. I personally just get an americano there with no cream so you can really taste the beans. My friend gets an oat milk lattee. We will be back next year! read more

I love coffee. Deeply, passionately, completely. Catalyst is the best coffee I've ever had east of the Cascades, and it's in my top 5 lattes I've ever had in my life. Part of the reason is the quality of their beans (deep, slightly woody); part of the reason is the quality of the brewing (no burnt taste). I also really appreciated that they made many of their syrups in-house, and that they had some unusual choices (I tried both the cardamom and the smoked maple; smoked maple was my favorite but both were excellent). We had breakfast sandwiches and pastries both days when we were in Yakima, and they were also great. The space is in part of a church, so looks the part with stained glass windows and a cozy feel. They've also deviated with quite a few plants, which I loved. Service was also good. There was only one person working but he managed the line and the summons and food very well. When I'm back in Yakima, I'll definitely be visiting again. read more

Best place in town. Awesome selection of craft/ house made syrups, drinks, food, and baked goods. A ton of bags of coffee for sale from lots of different roasters from around the US as well as outside the US. This is a neighborhood cafe, the owners are incredible people, and it's a place that you want to go to, for work, hanging with friends or chatting with the other people there. Our kiddos go to school just down the alley from this little coffee shop, so when I was dropping off our little man today, I figured I should try this place out. It's a super cool, very relaxed, little spot in the back of the vineyard church downtown. It was started by a couple who had been up this direction as youth pastors, moved away, and wanted to come back to the area. Walking through the door in an alley left my expectations pretty low, and as soon as you walk in they were brought right back up! The back room has maintained the character and aesthetics of the old Rock church building and added just enough modern flair to make it comfortable. A little bit of wall art combined with hundred year old stained glass windows makes for a perfect small coffee shop! The place is very simple with a number of tables and chairs in the main seating area and a beautiful side room with some larger, fluffier sitting options! It looks like a perfect place to go study, think or have a deep and meaningful conversation. The extra room honestly gave the place the five star bump! They have some solid cavitation options and my depth charge - a drip coffee with a couple shots in it - Was done very nicely. They sell homemade syrups here and even have a drop off bin for the Union Gospel Mission. I'm pretty excited that this place is right next to the drop off for our kiddos... It's going to make caffeinating a lot easier! read more

What a precious hidden gem! Located in a little nook attached to a church, this is a great stop. Coffee is excellent (as is the barista), service friendly and down to earth, some light bites available (banana bread was a hit with our family) and the seating area is perfect for a catch up with friends or curling up with a book in the "library" area. The church is also worth a peak with its stained glass windows and unique setup. read more

Hidden in a church alcove. The coffee is great. Plenty of seating. Nice staff. Got a half sweet vanilla cardamom latte (housemade syrup I believe) and a chai. They nailed the half sweet and it was creamy and good while still allowing you to taste the coffee below. I'd need to try a few more things here to really know if it hits every time, but so far, so good. Also, looks like they sell a good variety of tasty roasters on their shelves. It is a little confusing to find but worth it, the entrance is in a back alley with little signage, look for a ramp the door is at the top. We had a breakfast sandwich and latte, the latte was super smooth and great flavor, my hubby went back the next day and got another one. The breakfast sandwich was hot and filling, ciabatta roll, fried egg, cheese and pesto, it was tasty. Place wasn't super busy but steady customers no real wait for anything and pleasant barista. What a gem. Built into the back room of a church in Yakima? Really cool. The owner/barista was super welcoming. The breakfast sandwich was really good and heated all the way through. I know that shouldn't be surprising but so many places get that wrong. Lemon loaf was nicely balanced between sweet and tart. Coffee was beautifully poured. We will totally visit again. What a hidden gem!!! Location is in a church with beautiful old architecture. There are couches and plush chairs for relaxing and reading, and the overall vibe makes you want to post up for a few hours. I came here with my my family of four for the first time on Saturday, and we fell in love with this place. The owners are friendly and knowledgeable, their food was homemade and delicious (both the fancy breakfast sandwich and the basic), and our coffees were on point! Highly recommend!!! read more
