A cup of well crafted coffee with a view that transports you to a different time. The location boasts a serene view of the old town of Yakima- adjacent to the original city hall and opera hall. What once was the Yakima train station is now a great shared place for creatives and families! The friendly staff shows us to the family room which was perfect for our rambunctious toddler! The space is perfect for a cocktail night or event (wedding, engagement parties)

Best coffee shop in Yakima. The baristas here really know what they're doing. They have house made syrups and fresh made food. It has tons of seating and is a great place to hangout. I'm so glad it's reopened and even better now

The have a kids room! It has a bug window and you can still see into the coffee shop area. Love it

I wish we had a coffee shop like this near Tacoma!! It's cozy, welcoming, spacious, clean and adorable!

Not sure how my bf discovered this place, but I'm grateful that he has introduced me to it. The vibe in here is so chill. Maintains a good low level of noise so it's perfect for catching up on work, reading etc. I'm a big fan of the iced americanos here, haven't had one from a barista here that didn't meet my standard. Overall it is a big beautiful building with lots of spacious seating and a nice feeling environment, surrounded by other equally gorgeous historic buildings.

Northtown Coffee is one of those places that is done so well that it defines what a genre of food/beverage should be for an area. I've heard about it for years, but only recently had the chance to come and experience it. Having been here twice in the past 4 days, it is declared our favorite coffee spot for 2016! This spot is housed in the old train station and has maintained it with incredible integrity. You walk in and immediately see the incredible melding of the architecture from a century ago, interposed with a coffee shop that respects the past, but wants you to be 21st century caffeinated! I was most impressed by the fact with the seating and the number of different rooms they have available. Out front is the "Garden room" - a glass enclosure with foliage and plenty of outdoors type seating. Great place to sit back and relax! The interior has seating options including some large chairs and couches around a fireplace, plenty of traditional seating around the periphery and some larger group study spaces. Dedicated study and meeting rooms can be rented for $10/hour and provide an incredibly cool and convenient way to get things done. Perhaps the coolest things (from my better half and my perspective) is the Kids room that is located just off the main area. Tons of toys and books give the kiddos a place to get their play on, while you chillax with some boss espresso! The menu here is pretty expansive and includes everything from standard brew to cold press tea (think incredibly slow drip through ice!). For those who love their Stumptown - they gots Stumptown coffee! The iced options include normal and Nitro, both of which are lovely. The folks working the counter are totally chill and give this place an unexpected and welcome vibe. If you haven't been here, you need to be. Whether pre-dinner espresso, a late night rendezvous or an eye opener to start they day, they're open early to late, so there's no real excuse not to check it out.

Chill place to work while on the road. Lots of seating in various arrangements. Put on a headset and drank a nice latte while working.

Best coffee they have a lot of options my first time in WA from Florida I will totally recommend they have inside and outside seating

It's got a great location just off the main street in downtown, and was quite a lovely little space. Very much designed for people to come in, spread out and converse, it was a very warm and inviting sort of spot. The coffee offerings have a definite, Mexican flare to them, and were very nice. They had standard offerings and then a number of specials on a sort of fresh sheet. They had plenty of coffee and Mexican culturally centric items for sale as well as some clothing. Nice stuff to look through and most would find something they enjoy! The pictures in the wall were as expected, until I saw a print that read "Excess in Moderation". I found out it's by an artist named Ravi Zupa and now it may be my favorite picture! Back to the coffee - The ladies working here were very friendly and everything came out quick. All in all, a really cool spot with a great local vibe and pizzazz running throughout! You should check it out.

I got the typical single black milk tea that I get at most shops that are new to me. Black Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, Less Ice w/ Boba ($6.75) - The black tea here is actually quite good, with a good earthiness almost like a quarter going to puerh. The place recommends half sweet for this drink and I agree that it's very appropriate. The creamer is balanced well in the drink and is not overpowering. The boba has pretty good chew and have a somewhat sticky exterior from the sugar soak. They are kind of oblong in shape and not completely spherical. The pearls are a bit inconsistent in both size and exterior texture. Some are quite smooth on the outside, but others have mini crags running along the surface. In addition, they aren't the most uniform in size, with smaller pieces that seem to have split off. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 4/5 & Tea is pretty good. I would visit again the next time I'm in Yakima Bathrooms - One unisex room that requires a code to enter.
