Asim was able to stop by same day since he was in the neighborhood and give us a quote and got to work as scheduled. They removed single sheet vinyl, installed a new toilet and installed tile/grout all within 1.5 days between 2 bathrooms equal to about 50 sq ft each. The kids splashed so much during bath time that the vinyl was lifting and we were terrified of foundation damage. Asim not only helped modernize our 1980s bathroom but helped turn my kids bath time from a stressful encounter to core memories! During the initial walkthrough, Curtis took detailed measurements in his sketchbook, provided competitive pricing, and gave excellent recommendations. He set clear expectations regarding the gaps required for our chosen hex tiles, so there were no surprises. He even offered us a supplier discount, and though we bought tiles elsewhere, we greatly appreciated the option. Based on his website, his knowledge and attention to detail, competitive pricing, and his demeanor, we decided to go with him. His timeline estimation was spot on. Curtis completed the demolition, concrete grinding, waterproof barrier (Laticrete) installation, tiling, grouting, and baseboard reinstallation in just 1.5 days. He walled off the bathroom efficiently to contain the dust from the grinding. Thankfully I reached out to Zack and he came out and did a walk of the home with me and gave me his honest and expert opinion, and also gently let me know that this was not something I'd be able to do (well) by myself. I didn't meet with another contractor after my first meeting with Zack because I felt that confident and comfortable with him. This project took awhile to get started due to a variety of different reasons but Zack stayed in contact and worked quickly and efficiently when things were ready to go. This was a huge project that included removing old furniture and appliances, knocking down walls, tearing out floors, refurbishing 100 year old windows, installing an HVAC system, and getting the home into a livable condition. I was so thankful to have Zack leading the project because I would have had no idea where to start. Zack and his team (Javier & Danny) were an absolute delight to work with, as well as the subcontractors I met who did my kitchen and bathroom cabinets and the hardwood floor refurbishment. While Zack didn't sign up to also be my design consultant, he quickly became one. I was constantly asking for his thoughts and opinions during the project. He shared his opinions when it came to a designs choice longevity and practicality, but never inserted his opinion otherwise, and always honored my vision and choices- although I'm sure he probably thought my 5 visits to slab yards was a bit excessive and was relieved when I finally picked one. Danny and Zack were also both helpful when it came to picking the grout color for my kitchen and bathroom, such a small but important detail with soo many options.
