Update: Unfortunately I broke my laptop screen 9 months after my last damage and Steven was here to help me again. I went to the apple store in village and the best they can offer was way out of my price range. So I called Steven right away and he literally picked up my broken laptop the day it broke and promised me it will be brand new when I get it back. The price was quite affordable and the fact that he can drive to pick my laptop up on campus really saves me so much time! IF I COULD GIVE STEVEN MORE STARTS I WOULD for his service and due diligence. He was so incredibly professional!!!! I had the worst case scenario as a student. Week before finals, researching for papers that are due soon, when BOOM, my beverage fell all over my MacBook Air. To my horror it happened so quickly I did not even have a chance to turn it off, the screen just went black. Thats when Steven comes in. He picked up my laptop in the east side the next morning (ways away from where his business is based) for free and started working on my computer right away. Within 2 hrs he reported what needed to be done and was very reasonable. He was honest and transparent. All of my problems with that dilemma were solved in about a 5-6 hr turn around. You cannot get that kind of service anywhere that I have been to. He is so generous with his time and respects yours! I was charged #35 for check up, charged $199 to "fix it", then charged $350 to "replace bad motherboard". What I got: Laptop still can't boot up. According to Steven, after his work "the problem is not the same now" because if I keep powering on and off the laptop for an hour, it woud eventually boot up. And laptop randomly shuts down for no reason. Aug 28: sent laptop for repair Sep 19: got laptop back after "motherboard replacement and test", with "not the same problem" Sep 22: I posted a review on Yelp for this service and Steven contacted me to take down my review. While my data was lost (I had backed it up), HE FIXED IT in less than 3 hours! This is after I messed with it for at least 6 hours on my own and only made things worse. I would not recommend this service. Steven took 2 whole days to tell me my computer is not fixable. It shouldn't take any professional that long to notice what is wrong when I simply told him I corrupted my BIOS and it needs a recovery. Instead he made me pay 35 dollars for a system check up that lasted 2 days with only updates being " Tests are still running" which also took him hours to reply. He returned my computer and gave me my refund. My computer looked like nothing was touched or removed.(not sure if that's good or bad) What was bad though is that my desktop reaked of cologne. My guess is that it was sitting in his car for an extremely long period of time because that's how his car smelled like when he dropped it off. I have a suspicion that he didn't even run the test on my computer. In conclusion, if you are looking for a fast qui k service for computer repairs this is not the place I would recommend. He did not give me a price of how much it will cost and a estimate date when it will be finished, until the tests are done.
