Their cashiers are so lovely and helpful. The staff in the pharmacy is also beneficial and helpful. There is also a lot of parking!

If I could give this place ZERO star i would. Aside from it being so overpriced I had the unfortunate experience of racism at this place. I came in today at 9 PM to grab some melatonin and the lady that was alone in the front working in the cash register I did not get her name but she has strawberry blonde hair, was attending a older gentleman before me, and as soon as I stepped into Line, she was giving me these glares, and would not stop giving me the stink face, and just the overall looks she was giving me. When it was my time to check out, she acted all fake and was trying to laugh and everything trying to erase the first impression she had of me. I will not be coming here anymore. I paid for 3 $25 Amazon gift cards and only got 2 of them. Seriously Saturday night cashier around 8pm. You suck because that was a gift for my son early Sunday from the Easter bunny. I accidentally scanned a bottle of water twice so I removed it from my cart, and it said wait for assistance There five minutes while the cashier was on the phone and helping other people then and ignoring me completely. They usually have my prescriptions ready and the pharmacy is great. Absolutely love the pharmacy. The store itself is badly in need of some fixing, however. Debbie the manager is slovenly, rude to customers. I came in with my partner for ice cream and she snaps at us, saying "what do you want". No pleasantries, right to business I guess. We ask for Rite Aid's world famous ice cream flavor chocolate malt crunch and she says "we're out" in a flippant tone. Is that how paying customers are treated? We hand over cash and she tosses our change on the counter. Just unbelievable. Rite Aid needs to re-train its managers in customer service. We will not be returning to this location except strictly for the pharmacy. read more

I am a regular at Rite Aid and usually get okay to good service when I go. Nothing out of this world but some of the staff are helpful and respectful. One man is especially personable. That all changed today, when I headed in there, after buying my groceries from Vons, simply to buy my children some toys they had seen there a few weeks prior. As I approached the cash registers, I noticed there was no one there to ring me up. I stood first in line for a few minutes. I noticed there was someone being served ice cream. The staff working the ice cream area didn't acknowledge me at all. So I decided to head to the self checkout (which I hate because I've had issues with glitches before). Lo and behold, today was no exception. The scanner is so sensitive that it scanned a $12 dollar toy twice. I managed to remove the item but it still prompted a staff member to log in a password. I stood there waiting for a cashier that never arrived. I then remembered seeing the ice cream shop person while waiting in line for a while and so I asked her if anyone was working the cash register today. She looked up and snarkily said "no, you're JUST gonna have to wait." Her tone and the rolling of the eyes was completely uncalled for. My young kids noticed it too. I was confused since I merely asked the question once. I didn't even think SHE would be the one to ring me up. I thought there was someone else around that hadn't noticed my presence yet. I appreciated that she apologized while ringing me up but that was no excuse for her treatment of me and my children. And i let her know that she didn't need to be snarky with me. It was just very odd how someone could respond like that to a customer. A simple "no, im the only one here today" would have sufficed. On that note, this Rite Aid definitely needs to better staff the store. The line forming behind me got quite long. It was like 10 minutes without a cashier. read more

I had my Covid 19 vaccine administered here. The staff was polite. The reason I am giving such a low rating is because the older man pharmacist that administered my vaccination is a terrible injector. One month ago for my first vaccine he gave me one of the most painful injections ever (so I thought) until I returned for my second vaccine. My husband was in the room with me. The pharmacist cleaned my arm and with no finesse he stabbed me like I was a dartboard. I yelled, threw my phone on the floor. The pharmacist having lost contact with the syringe, it was hanging from my arm, he grabbed it and shoved it in my arm. I was in so much pain I became nauseous. This place is a No-go for vaccines. read more

This Rite Aid at E LA Ave and Yosemite is a little less than a mile from my house and thought it would be convenient to switch all my families Rx's there, boy was I wrong! EVERYTHING about this Rite Aid is HORRIBLE!!! EVERYTIME I've had to interact with the pharmacy they have been rude, uncaring, very difficult to understand, the pharmacists get mad at you, are impatient, extremely rude, and can't help with anything; just today the pharmacist hung up on me. I battle several different autoimmune diseases that require careful handling or I can go into a flare, this pharm just pacified me on the phone only to send me a text immediately they can't refill the prescription. I KNOW I have 1 more refill remaining, he won't even discuss it with me he just sent a text to tell me there are no more refills - BS! He seemingly sent is to make me suffer. I will call again but have NO HOPE he'll even look into it. At one time I had all our medications in sync and Rite Aid Pharmacy SCREWED that up; seemingly to be vengeful. This has been my experience with them from DAY 1. Several times they have been so rude I've been in tears. Cold, heartless jerks! read more

If I could give zero stars, it would be zero. I've been getting my prescription filled at Rite Aid for two years. Reena the girl working in the pharmacy tells me my prescription will be ready in 30 minutes. I wait 30 minutes and go up to the counter. Rena calls me over and says the temp pharmacist does not want to fill your prescription because it's a controlled substance. First of all, it's Ambien a sleeping pill. Second of all I've been getting it filled at that pharmacy for two years. I have to drive all the way to the other side to see me after wasting 30 minutes of my time and now $10 worth of gas because of the incompetence of whoever the moron is Jesse. Apparently that is the temp pharmacies name, and she must be an absolute moron. corporate will be getting a call on this one. read more

Hmmmmm. I picked up an RX today and I noticed there was no pharmacist on duty. I questioned the clerk, she shrugged. I ask up front for a pharmacy manager & was told he was at lunch. No problem with this but for the law states: Taken from the Bureau of Consumer Affairs-Board of Pharmacists: Pharmacists could leave the area of the pharmacy department during their breaks, but were required to roll down and lock the security shutters while they were gone. If a pharmacist left the store with no other pharmacist on duty, he was required to activate the alarm system in the pharmacy area and lock the security shutters. The clerks at Rite-Aid said that's how they do it here!! Looks to me like Rite-Aid needs to be informed of the law. Even Walmart pharmacies close for lunch!! read more

Very friendly, helpful, caring staff. The pharmacy orders my hard to find medication & makes sure I have it every month. They know their community, ask how my kids are, etc: I watched the pharmacist be so kind as to fit in a lady for her Covid booster as she had a later appointment but was going to be traveling. Found this store by accident... OBoy, Thrifty's award winning ice cream! I watched as Tanya cheerily scooped some of that tasty treat for another customer. And left the extra edges on. Just one more bite, but makes it look like a mouth watering photograph. And did the same for me. Neither the other guy nor I asked to "pack it in", but she sure knows how to make the customers happy! Of course, I told the manager how nice it was to have a friendly employee that makes us feel valued as customers. Thanks for having her on your team. read more

I was told sorry and to go to another store. Where is the customer service? Where is the interim solution for orders coming in? Where is the forethought to notify new orders of the issue and advise customers of alternate options before they wait seven hours and show up at store? NOWHERE. I blame store. This place stucks... Don't shop here.... I was shopping with my husband and looking at the face cream. Found one to buy and we went to take his blood pressure and then went to another isle to get more stuff and their loss prevention came up to us asking where we put the item that we took. I showed him that it was still in my hand and that that we are not stealing... How can they come up to someone and ask them where the item was when they have not even left the store yet. This is one of the most poorly run retail businesses I've been in. The employees are rude, unmotivated and really could care less. On a visit with my 3 year old, they hassled me over a coupon, followed me around to make sure my son didn't touch anything and were rude on several encounters. Very helpful staff, I have no insurance and when my Dr. wrote my perscription for antibotics, they informed me, before filling it, that for 10 pills it was going to be $200... WHAT??? Thanks to this pharmacy and their professional staff, that called the Dr. and change the Rx to one that only cost me $35. This place feels dated! It's the closest pharmacy to my house so it's convenient. Basically, the pharmacy staff is hit or miss. I've noticed they have a lot of different people that work there, some are more helpful than others. When I went in for a third prescription of the same medicine within a month, they were out of it and called in my order to the other Rite Aid for me; that was nice. The store itself has very friendly employees and the isles are always clean and the shelves are fully organized. As a bonus, they have good old Thrifty's ice cream! read more

This is for the pharmacy. I had trouble refilling a prescription using the automated phone service. It does not allow enough time to punch in my Rx # because I have low vision and need to use a magnifier to read the small print on the med bottle. I finally got to speak with someone and told them about the system. He sounded very offended and said there was nothing he could do about it. I suggested he relay the problem to whoever needed to be informed about such things and immediately blew me off and said I need to call a 1-800 number. A**HOLE! I'm informing you that there is a problem with your business and you basically tell me to talk to someone who cares. Very few times have I encountered something NOT irritating about Rite-Aid. I will be changing all me prescriptions ovcr to Walgreens. It's a little farther for me but going to be worth it to not have to deal with this place. read more

The staff members are really patient when it comes to my mom and her coupons! The ice cream used to taste better when I was a kid but still hits a nice spot when it's hot out (read: all year long). A lot of the cosmetics that are on clearance (selected colors of selected brands) are often out of stock, even on Mondays, though that might be expected. read more

I have been going here a lot since they upgraded the store. It is now clean and bright with a great selection of just about everything. The staff are all friendly and very helpful. I always keep my receipts and have never had an issue with returns. I cannot comment on the Pharmacy prescription section as I have never used it. I have only bought OTC medication and as with the rest of the store there is always a lot to chose from. read more

My family's prescriptions were transferred to this pharmacy after Haggen closed down and we have been very disappointed. Prescriptions are often not ready when they say they are, and the staff are not friendly or helpful. They act like they could care less about their customers. We have walked out numerous times. We only stay with this pharmacy because it is close to home and has good hours. We deserve better. read more
