This has been my store for RX for the past four years. I have been meaning to right a review several times, but I prefer to praise a business. Today was over the top. I paid a delivery charge to get meds to my mom same day (yesterday). Today checking the app, it says it will arrive in 3 days, call the store at 4440 Alamo st. Spoke with the lady "in charge " she took the order yesterday. She tells me the address is out of range for same day delivery (when I asked for the general manager I was told this pharmacist was sitting in for that person and no one was above her) so I asked for customer relations number. She replied I don't have that number. She gave me an 805 number. I asked where headquarters was. She had no idea or didn't want to share. Nothing worse than hearing "this is the highest person to speak to " and they don't give a hoot. read more

Big beautiful location but not the place to go. Items are stocked with the wrong price tags and I was told by Adriana the manager that the tags need to stay on for 2 weeks. Doesn't make sense. If you don't have the product then remove the price tags specially when they highlight a discount and the items on the shelf are the incorrect ones. read more

New patient new rx. After challenges with get my rx filled. Wasn't reminded a new Rx and asked if I needed to have the pharmacist consult or if I had questions. Got home and read the Rx causes dizziness yet have to take 3 xs a day. And well with work. You can imagine. Anyway a lot of miss haps maybe when I was younger but being of a certain age more complex meds not sure if this place is the best for me. My last pharmacist saved my life. The Entire pharmacy is miserable and presumably understaffed, i love waiting 30 minutes in line to tell them and get to wait another 30 for my prescription to be ready. This pharmacy is GARBAGE!! The staff is extremely rude, inconsiderate and incompetent! For them to speak down to you and when children are present is inconceivable! They lie to you and refuse to fill your prescriptions. They think they can go above what a physician prescribes as if they know your medical history. This pharmacy took 13 days to tell me that my medication was not approved by my insurance provider!! I had my primary doctor send the prescription to Homecare Pharmacy and it was filled the same day with zero issues. They will also lie to you about medication not being in stock when the real reason is that they just do not want to give you the medication. They are money hungry angry unprofessional idiots. You will have zero chance of speaking to a live technician on the phone as well. Do not use this pharmacy even if you are dying! It will only cause you extreme stress and aggravation. I came here for a COVID test before a Hawaii trip. The process was very easy and I received my results within 28 hours of my test which was a relief. If you need to get proof of a negative result before Hawaii this place is reliable. Several of the reviews complain about wait times. I can see that it could take a long time if you have to wait in the drive thru line behind others because it took the NP or technician several minutes to prepare my COVID test kit. Just as in many lines you would have to rely on others in front of you to have their proper paperwork and complete the test efficiently. Specifically, the pharmacy manager, Sherif, who I never got a chance to speak to in person because he was 45 minutes late coming into work (the "manager"). Sherif was condescending, loud, rude and continued to speak over me raising his voice while I was trying to get clarification on the issue. Shouldn't have been a big deal, but he made it one. Shiva, very rude pharmacist. I have had several encounters with her and always the same. Today I called to find out why my prescription that I get every month has not been filled. After being disconnected after waiting on hold for 10 minutes. Shiva answered. She told me she needs more information from my doctor and when I asked what information she needed she said that is between her and the doctor. Really, I believe it's my prescription and my doctor and the same prescription I get every single month. This pharmacist always treats you like you are a drug addict if you're just trying to pick up your medication. Every month, the same thing. I have 5 work comp meds that are filled at the CVS at Tapo and Alamo. Every 90 days my doctor sends my scripts in at the same time, usually as I sit in his office. This has not changed in about 10 years. My goal is to pick up all 5 drugs at the same time. This has only happened several times over many years. I get different excuses each time such as that they received the requests at different times, which has never been the case. Unfortunately this is the pharmacy my provider wants me to go to. Stopped by on one sunny afternoon out of boredom, but found some spectacular deals and with the help of a wonderful associate named Eric, was able to get what I wanted a an amazing price! Customer service is terrible. It's a Sunday. I have an infection, urgent care sent a prescription to this CVS because my usual easy to use pharmacy isn't open on Sundays. Urgent care said it could take anywhere from a half hour to a couple hours to fill. I wait an hour, try to call the pharmacy to see if it's ready before heading down there because I don't feel good and don't want to have to sit and wait. You can't get through to talk to anyone. They just want to send you to their app. So I try the app and can't get through the security questions because they tell me I'm not answering correct. The answers are streets I've lived on, none of the answers are related to me but they keep telling me I'm wrong. Screw it Im just going down there. They start to help me and then say, sorry it's 1:30 and we are closed now. I get upset and say I just need my medicine, I don't feel good. Sorry can't help you now. I get really upset and say if I come back at 2:00 you can do it. The response is, "I don't know if I want to" ugh! I just want my medicine and believe me I won't be back!! read more

Please read this review through. Don't want to downgrade a store for one horrendous incident. I was sitting, waiting for a prescription for an hour. There was a man sitting one seat away talking on the phone (no mask). I walked up to pick up my order but they took him first. After he left, the clerk told me to wait while she disinfected the counter & credit card machine, stating that he has Covid! So they let me sit next to him knowing he has Covid? Now I have to isolate for 5-10 days! I called the store manager who was very apologetic & said he'd speak to the pharmacy manager when he's back from lunch. He said that the man should have been told to have his Rx delivered or gone through the drive through. At least I got some validation from the store manager & overall they are a pretty good store. Hideously rude pharmacist. I went for a Covid Vaccine with an appointment. I was not a walk in. I waited 45 minutes before going to the front for a supervisor. During the whole time that I was left waiting, I was in full view of the pharmacist. Twice I reminded the clerk that I was there and had an appointment. It wasn't until the supervisor came back to the pharmacy and spoke with the pharmacist that I realized that the man typing on a computer in my full view was actually the pharmacist. Went there for Flu shot and Covid 19 vaccine. Person who administered the vaccines did not communicate at all. She just ask for my name. Was rushing me. Previously when I took my vaccines somewhere else, I needed to show picture ID, they were showing me what they were administering, such as which one is doing first, name, lot %, expiration, storage temperature etc. Also I just saw my vaccine records, it states both vaccines were given on my left arm! read more

She was cussing and saying I can't believe they are making me do this f**** s**** . And saying it's BS. Like if you don't like your job then leave. This review is only about the pharmacy. The pharmacists that I have dealt with at this location have all been great. However the next level personnel in the pharmacy area seem to be pretty lackadaisical and not paying attention half the time. It seems they think they're working at the arcade or something. For example today I stopped in about 6 o'clock to pick up a prescription and they had me wait in line for about 20 minutes and then finally when I got up to the window they wanted to check if the prescription was in stock before I left. So they came back and said yeah you can get it later today and I said like in 30 minutes and they said no in a couple of hours. So then I came back in a couple hours and it wasn't ready I said don't you remember you told me come back at 8? He said well we don't have it in stock. Question; then why have me wait 10 minutes when dropping off to verify but then tell me two hours later it's a wasted trip? Yeah, I'll go back because I HAVE TO. read more

I came here twice for my Covid Vaccinations. The first visit was their first day administering the shot and it was incredibly unorganized. I gave them a pass for this. First days are always difficult. HOWEVER. I returned three weeks later for my second vaccine and it was even worse. I normally don't write reviews but this experience was horrendous. I came in, took my time gathering my items and went to check out. 2 people before me had zero issues checking out but when it came to mine I kept getting an error code saying to place my items in the bagging area. It came to a paint where the manager or someone had to come and override ever single item 1 by 1. I had about 20 items in my cart. How about at that point cancel the transaction and help me at the counter? What afraid I wouldn't pay or I was shoplifting? I'm so tired of coming to this pharmacy to either a drive up line with a 45 minute wait, or it's coned off forcing you inside to a long line that never moves which is strategically placed on the cold and flu isle so sick shoppers can pick up over the counter meds while squeezing past the line. This review is based on repeated experiences. I have mase the mistake of using this pharmacy many times, simply because of the convenient location, so that's my fault. If you ever need to speak to the pharmacy, you can forget it. I have tried on no less than 5-6 separate occasions and sat on hold each time for over an hour before giving up. One time, someone actually picked up and then put me on hold, but 20 minutes later the call was disconnected. Seriously, CVS Pharmacies are the worst. Has anyone used the pharmacy at Target? Or can recommend a good pharmacy in Simi Valley? Not only are they unprepared and unprofessional, the gentleman updating my insurance at the drop off location kept my card even though I requested it back. Then a second pharmacist found it and called out for me to pick it up at the drop off window. Well, there was already a gentleman at that window so I stood behind him. So she went to the register area and called after a man in an aisle and tried to give him my insurance card!! WTH?! I asked her if she had indeed asked foe to go to the drop off window? Didn't I do as she instructed? And yet let's give a random man an insurance card with a woman's name on it - a woman standing in the place where she asked me to go. Appalling. Maybe there needs to be etiquette class for pharmacists? Or a common sense refresher course? It's just sad being continually disappointed by CVS. read more

My doctor tried to verify if there was a medication in stock and the manager of the pharmacy would not give the information to the nurse and was so rude! I moved here from Burbank and this type of service is mind blowing. I was so embarrassed to hear how the nurse was being questioned by the pharmacist. She even lectured her that the medicine my doctors office was ordering was a highly addictive drug, they are being robbed for it,& even sold on the streets; therefore, she can not verify if the medication was available or not. I didn't want to have it ordered IF not available to waste my time going there and it not being available....By the way it is a cough medication. The pharmacists (manager) would not verify unless the nurse gave my information & after provided that she still wouldn't verify if in stock unless given a diagnosis code used to bill my insurance. After that then questioned the doctors orders. The poor nurse had to put the call on hold as she's between patients care, answering other patients questions or concerns, and having to run back to the billing department to ask for a code. After the third time she was asked another ridiculous question I walked over to the nurse and asked her to please cancel my antibiotic prescription and not continue with the prescription ordeal for my cough medication. I am so sick and wanted to pick up my prescription at this location for it's a drive through & go home to rest. This pharmacy made it WAY too difficult and blatantly accused my doctor office as if they are ordering a prescription for me to abuse it rather than to ease my cough and help me get well. Can only Imagine the treatment I'd get to pick up the prescription. They probably would run a background check on me or even ask me to do a sobriety test? RIDICULOUS!!! I wonder if this location questions clients like that if they purchase alcohol or even a decongestant... Nuts!! Maybe CVS should look into this location and this pharmacist as to why she's making such assumptions and her behavior. Either way I'll take my business elsewhere!! Just feel I should share this situation in hopes that pharmacist will not treat others with such disrespect and assumptions. I was appalled listening to the nurse being treated in such a way.
