Here you are not a person - just a number. Pharmacy staff are unfriendly and off putting. I tried calling them on the phone but they didn't answer. After I waited 20 minutes I gave up and went to the store. When I asked why they didn't answer their phone they said they were understaffed and too busy to answer it. Incompetent staff was unable to enter my insurance. One of the staff members (middle aged woman carrying a money register) blatantly ignored me and my questions. This place is rude and the people dont care about their job. One of the lowest feeling places I've been to. It's sad they represent the company. I just went in for the 558 count babywipes I didnt see on the shelves. The 368 count is $15.29 where the 558 is $16.99. Which is the better buy??? So damn, I want the better buy. She said if it's not there we dont have it and you have to buy it online. (Which is over $5 shipping) I said "I went online and it said you had low stock." ... she replied with well if it's not out there we dont have it" without even checking. That stupid bitch. The people at the pharmacy are so disorganized and will ignore you as much as possible. Especially the rude Persian lady with glasses. No "I'll be with you in a moment" or anything like that. Some poor guy in front of me had been waiting for some life-saving medication for his son, they were supposed to call him to let him know his medication was in and they didn't. The pharmacy staff here are EXCELLENT A few really strange things have gone on with my prescription before (like someone picking it up? Twice this happened!) BUT they ALWAYS handle it and make sure I have what I need. Always patient, polite and courteous, I feel like I'm just popping in to say hello to a nice aunt or something every time I'm picking up :) Even the younger employees! Michelle at the pharmacy was awesome! She was friendly and welcoming - went over to get a prescription and came out with a flu shot :) Pharmacy wait time was not too bad, competent and friendly staff. Also, they have a drive through (have not tried yet). First time i requested the pharmacy for a ready-fill, they did mess it up but later fixed it. I see reviews hating on this location or CVS in general. But you have to consider the fact that in many retail places they've had to cut staff, services, or options in order to remain viable. So yeah... you may sit in line for a bit. The staff I find are always friendly, even if you have to wait in line a bit. (Hey, if you come at 5pm expect a line because everyone gets off work at that time.) The shelves are well-stocked, and I even find some oddball pharmacy products stocked. This location serves the northern Simi area, so I'm glad I don't have to drive a few exits down to the next CVS. Overall, not a bad location, just don't expect priority service at peak hours, like 5-6pm when people getting off work are rushing to CVS to pick up a prescription. read more

I used to like this CVS but no more! They are very good at giving out coupons but NOT good at accepting them all at. Just came back from this store because the lady at the counter was just so very unhelpful. She's been there for a long time, a rather short Asian looking lady wearing glasses. She's never been helpful so I recognize her. CVS sent me numerous coupons via email so I thought I would go in and buy something and take advantage of them. This lady is so very rigid and unhelpful, all she can say is - I don't know. It's the system. I can't do anything blah blah blah. Why don't we just have self check out and eliminate this kind of "customer service!" I think CVS is shooting themselves in their foot. They changed a lot of their policies to NOT benefit the customers at all. I will just NOT buy anything there anymore - forget their coupons, which they don't accept anyway!! CVS is the go-to place for random stuff grocery stores don't have if you don't feel like driving all the way to wal-mart or target. This CVS has always had good (not great) service, and is typically quick and courteous in answering questions or helping you out. The ambiance is somewhat drab, so it doesn't feel welcoming to come into the store, however they usually have everything you need. I gave 3/5 because the prices are a lot higher than they should be, and the photo section tends to be slow. I would warn you about the parking lot, since all the little carts tend to hit your car, so park near the end of the small parking lot. read more

I have used this pharmacy and the one located at Cochran and Tapo St. in Simi Valley and have had nothing but good results. Both pharmacies are usually busy but they always take time to look things up and or tell me what to expect of a new drug that I may be getting. I've can't understand some of these reviews. Everyone is entitled to their opinion though. As for me this is the best pharmacy as far as I'm concerned. I have been coming here for at least the last five years. The pharmacy manager and the best pharmacist Diana Thelen has always gone out of her way to help me fill a hard to find medication. So much so I drive from Palmdale to Simi Valley to have it filled. Yes my Dr. is in Simi Valley, but there are times I have to make a special trip to get my medication filled. Not only is Diana amazing, but the staff is great as well. Yes they get busy and sometimes I may have to wait a couple of hours, but that's such a small price to pay when you get the great customer service that I get. They all know me by name and as I said Diana if need be goes out of her way if I truly need her help. Thank you you so much Diana and the entire pharmacy staff for all you do. I moved to Simi Valley so my insurance changed, I didn't pick rite aid cause I already knew that I didn't like them. Little did I know that CVS would be WORSE. I have refills left on my prescriptions and they are telling me there aren't any and I had to PAY for a dr visit cause they don't take my insurance either. I am still a month later trying to get all of my prescriptions filled. I have run out of some of my medicines trying to get them filled. I may switch to rite aid cause CVS is WORSE. 88yr Old Mom, given wrong Medicine. She uses a walker & can barely walk. Picked up medicine went home to discover they have her wrong medicine. She's in severe pain & needs pain medicine. When she returned they took back medicine which they didn't refund her. They said it was only .75. Then went to charge her for pain medicine and wouldn't let her use CVS gift card, which they gave her for there mistake. She had to go home without pain medicine which she needs to sleep. Also pharmacy department very insensitive & arrogant. If there Mother was in sever pain...takes her over 2 hours of time & now in pain with little sleep tonight. So I drop my Rx off and they tell me 2 hours. But I know this place is not known for its punctual service, so I waited until I got the text message saying my Rx is ready (Three hours later). Ok, whatever... not going to kill me. I get there and of course, there is a line. ok, to be expected. As I come to the front of the line the Pharmacist, Diane, Says Mr. Cox's Rx is ready. Now, EVERY pharmacy I have EVER been to, that means you get in line and wait to get your Rx with the rest of the people in line waiting to pick up there RXs, But not here. Diane and the pharmacy technician let Mr. Cox walk right up to the front and pick up his blood pressure meds and complete an entire transaction with debit card and all. Not just some quick deal. Oh yeah, only one person working the window as usual. So i bring it to Mr. cox's attention and he says, "well, Ive been waiting 30 minutes!".... I looked at him and said, "Ive been waiting three hours!" ..... Then Diane Says that they will refuse to fill my future Rx's! hahaha..... ok... lets recap.... Drop off Rx and quoted 2 hours, but takes 3 come in and wait in line with only one person in the pick up window, only to get cut off at the front by a patient who is obviously more important than I. he waits 30 min... I wait 3 hours. He goes to the front of the line... I get banned from the pharmacy. Classic!!! Thank you to the Pharmacist, Diane, For treating me like a pile and then banning me... I went to another pharmacy who also took my $25.00 co-pay coupon that Diane gave back to me saying I have to call something in. That didn't make any sense because its not true!!! This applies to the prescription pharmacy part of the store. By far the worst of the several CVS pharmacies in Simi Valley. Slow, burned out, uninterested and uninformed if the pharmacist happens to be busy or at lunch.. They need to take a customer service refresher course and better staff their people. The bare minimum is done when it comes to filling a prescription, getting it done when promised or following up with a Doctor if they arbitrarily deem confirmation is needed. Seriously in need of a staff shake up at this location. I have found the staff walking the floor and working the register outside of the pharmacy section to be helpful, friendly and have gone out of their way to help find OTC products. read more

Every month I come here and get a brand name prescription filled with a discount card that brings it down to $10 instead of $90. Every month I have to argue with the new snotty pharmacy techs on how to process my prescription. Today was the worst. Went through the drive through. The girl tells me $90. I tell her she is wrong I have a discount card on file and to make sure it is exactly the same as last month. She says she is NOT allowed to do that if I want it then it will be $90. I tell her forget it she asks what I want to do about it I told her I will get it corrected. So I call and the rude person who picks up says the person at the window was willing to ask and was just checking with them before I left upset. So not only was she rude and told me the wrong thing she lies to her boss about what she told me then lectures me to have the person run the discount card next time I come in I told her that exactly what I told her the first time I was there and she told me she could not do it. She got attitude my husband asked for the pharmacists name and she refused to give it claiming she did not know it then has the nerve to say she doesn't know what she is doing she has only been working there a month...CVS get this girl some basic pharmacy tech courses and customer service skills training and while you are at it ethics because she likes to lie. I can not believe that service has become so bad. Time to find a new pharmacy. read more

At times this CVS pharmacy can get very busy which leads to slow service, but I would rather they be slow and get the prescriptions correct. :) I am here to compliment Diana, the pharmacy manager. She is sweet, patient, and very thorough!! The store manager Bonnie is just as nice and and super helpful. Most of the time the cashiers are personable and I really appreciate that! The service at this location is usually slow. I have gone to pick up prescriptions at different times of the day and there is usually a line with only one person at the register. The good thing about this place is that they offer a drive-up prescription window, but a lot of times that is slow as well. read more

This is absolutely the worst pharmacy. We always have to come back 2-3 times and even then the mistakes continue e.g medications not ready after receiving calls and texts that the are, receive 30 day prescriptions instead of 90 day prescriptions, stating they contacted the doctors offices for refills but doctors offices say they never call or fax, no follow up, short changing medications, long waits, can't find our medications, never enough quantity so it takes several days. read more

I love this pharmacy, I have a child who is disabled and we have private insurance and med-cal due to his disability, it requires a tone of extra work on their part to bill it correctly, they do such a good job. They are always helpful and so accommodating. We left our pharmacy of 30+ years as they wouldn't do what this one does. As far as a wait, all pharmacies have lines, we use the app and it makes it faster, also I go weekend mornings and before 5 pm or later at night seems there is rush when school or work lets out. They are clean and have great customer service skills. read more
