It's a real downer when a store in which you've previously had mostly good to great experiences leaves you feeling like changes have happened, and not for the better. My displeasure with this location started recently when they implemented an AI phone system for the pharmacy. While the voice them use is pleasant and helpful, I quickly learned that the system can only handle one request at a time. Humans can manage multiple questions and just deal with them one by one. Using the AI phone system thus requires multiple calls, and it's difficult to get through to a real person. I found that I needed to leave a voicemail. Once I got a call back and once I didn't. 50% batting average? Good for baseball, not great for customer service efficiency. Today's frustration was when Dear Hubby picked up a prescription for me. I don't have the numbers in front of me to verify, but as I recall this particular Rx wasn't very expensive. Today it was over $60. What?! I looked it up on GoodRx and it's 3 times what it should be. What bothers me is that their records should show what we paid previously and they could offer to check with GoodRx for a better option. That would be good customer service, instead of good ol' corporate greed. This has me so irritated that I'm considering switching all of my pharmacy business to a different provider. We've been loyal customers for a decade and a half, but this may be the last straw. Especially now, we all need all the dollars we can get just to pay other bills, like filling the car with gas, and on and on. The combination of making it difficult to talk with a live person when one has questions / needs of the pharmacist, and the overcharging - that's not making me feel like a valued customer at all. read more

I stopped by this CVS store to pickup my photo. I had a T-Mobile Tuesday coupon to print a 8x10 picture from their mobile app and all you have to do is pick it up at any CVS store. This one is near my work and I was grabbing food in the same plaza so I chose this one. I came in the early morning so I found parking easily here. When I walked inside, they were not busy at all and only had 1 person working the cashier. That same cashier works at the photo department so I had to get in the checkout line and then tell her I was there for a picture pick up. The process was simple but I can see how it can be slow if they had many customers waiting to check out. read more

It is absolutely impossible to speak with a live human being on the phone. I made 4 attempts to get through a ridiculously long menu full of superfluous and meaningless dialogue. These people have no respect for their customers and most specifically for their time. I had a matter that would have required no more than 30 seconds of a pharmacy rep's time - but I was forced to go through 9 different prompts, enter my date of birth then their voice attendant spit out the names of two prescriptions and then dumped be. I could not even ask the computer to repeat what it had just said in an inaudible and very rushed tone. I just wanted a Covid booster shot, that was it. The sign on the door clearly states "Covid-19 shots here. By appointment or walk in". I was told I could NOT get my booster shot because I was a walk-in! There was NO ONE in the store waiting, no other appointments, the store was empty! If I could give a zero to CVS I would. Purchased product online and didn't receive it. Processed a replacement order and come to find out the following day via email, that the product wasn't available. My options were get a refund or check the website daily to find out when the product is available and they would reship. Though that is absurd to ask your customer to do, I obliged. Saw the product was available and called in to get a replacement order. Received an email saying they processed it and sadly that was the last communication I got. For 3 weeks I emailed and called with no resolution to where the replacement order was. Called in again today and was told the product isn't available and that I would be refunded. Totally disgusted with how CVS handled this situation. Makes no sense why my order wasn't shipped when the item came back into stock. read more

Came in for a DoorDash delivery and I walked in the front guy said nice said hi back and I asked him where the diapers were he says " maybe the isle that says baby care" remember I only have 2 minutes to do the order before DoorDash gets mad at me. Of course I could have just read it and found it but that was really disrespectful. Then this is where it makes me never ever want to ever walk in this store again. I go to the counter to pay he scans it and I ask him hey can you give me the receipt please (I was being kind and nice the entire time of me speaking to him) he says yelling "look at the screen look at the screen" insanely disrespectful and disgusting that a employee would treat a person like that I told him that he need to stop being such a A hole before I left because that ridiculous hope he gets fired. I am a senior on a fixed income and have had the same three prescriptions going back a number of years. For at least the last 3 years I have paid $15 each for a 90 day supply or a total of $45. This year I received a link from Calpers to the actual website that pays for my prescription coverage and I was shocked to see what they had in their system for this same CVS on Country Club Drive as they didn't match even close. So this morning I went and asked staff to check on single month prices. For some reason on one prescription starting this month the cost had dropped from $15 to $11.48 or $3.82 per month but the new quote was $1.44 per month The 2nd prescription cost was $3.52 instead of the usual $5 per month and the 3rd prescription was $4.53 per month instead of the usual $5 I changed my prescription to a 2 month supply and my cost dropped dramatically. In talking to Calpers it seems that CVS has been charging some kind of SURCHARGE or ADD-ON FEE once you go to a 3 month supply. Using the 3 month costs at the 1 month price as follows $1.44 x 3=$4.32 $3.52 x 3=$10.56 $4.53 x 3=$13.59 TOTAL $28.47 when all this time CVS has been charging $45 or about 58% higher than if they used the single month cost time 3 month. Love this very convenient CVS. Everyone that works there is so nice and accommodating. It is very busy so remain patient and you will be treated kindly and professionally. I am so glad this CVS opened up after we lost the Ralphs at this location. This is a smallish store but well stocked. It is a great little place to run into when you just need to pick up something quick. They even have milk and a few refrigerated groceries. This store is clean and the employees are helpful. My doctor sends over my script 4 days before I even needed it, this pharmacy WAITS till 8pm the night before to let me know they won't have it till next week AND it can't be transferred to another CVS! YOU would think good customers who get a least 10 scripts a month would be someone you take care of, NOPE! And the fact that they HOUND you to give 10s on their surveys, is beyond me! This CVS Pharmacy has very poor customer service. They were out of drug needed after my Wife's major surgery and there was no "sorry, I'll try and find another store that has it". I am amazed by all the negativity on this page. Did I get lucky to find 3 meds I needed here? I don't really know. So I will just describe my experience here. It wasn't an emergency for me, but I was looking for specific medicine that not every pharmacy has on shelf. And while I was here, I looked for few more items. It was easy to find all 3 items with the help of one of the sales person (Though needed to wait couple minutes for here to finish with another customer at the cashier). 10 minutes after I was driving away from here. The store portion is 4 stars but this review is for the Pharmacy portion of this CVS. I have a painful double ear infection. My doctor called in my prescription on Thursday morning last week. CVS Pharmacy called me and said they were out of my prescription and that they would order it for me and to please come pick it up after 4:00 on Friday. Friday, not ready. Saturday, shipment arrived Friday I was told but wasn't unpacked yet. Sunday, still not unpacked. My ears hurt so bad I was in bed all weekend and my equilibrium was so off I couldn't keep food down. Monday morning I call begging for my prescription. I am told they should have the shipment unpacked by 1:30 and to call back then Wow CVS, happy this wasn't something fatal.... Monday at 1:30 I was told my prescription would be ready by 3:30. And here I am at 6:15 PM at CVS. No prescription. I've been waiting for half an hour now after being told continually that it'll take 5 more minutes over and over again. This is the WORST CVS! I hope their management reads this and if nothing else gets them help to unpack their shipments. Wish me luck!!! And yes, I was just told 5 more minutes again!! Bad Pharmacy!! read more

Front of house staff are always so amazing and helpful BUT what is wrong with all the staff that-work in the Pharmacy Dept are they always having a bad day or is it just when I happen to be in need of their service. Today is my last day to ever use this Pharmacy my refill was not ready for me and then I was told that no one could fill it for me because the person who could refill it was about to go on lunch and I would have to come back. This was not said to me in a nice tone so I left and returned two hours later I got the same girl who was as un pleasant as she had been earlier!!! Made eye contact with me while I was waiting for a consultation with her to go over my son's prescription walked away as I waited there FOR 6 MINUTES!!! Horrible Pharmacy. Worst customer service I have ever seen. I actually got into a shouting match with the pharmacist who wouldn't come to the counter to speak to me. It took 5 tries for them to even locate my name in the computer and then told me that there was no prescription ordered. Within a minute they contradicted themselves and said that my prescription was called in but it was expensive and wanted to know if I could pay cash for it. WTF? Unfortunately, ZERO stars is not an option or I would have given this pharmacy that rating. I recently moved to Wood Ranch from Moorpark so needed to switch my pharmacy and was happy to have one so close to my home. I had to go out of town but had my physician call in a refill for me. I called the pharmacy to ask if I could have my husband or my friend pick up the refill for me so I could have my meds right when I got back home. Pharmacy answered, "yes". I gave my friend a photo of my insurance card. She was told, "it was not the right card". It happens to be the only insurance card I have and I have always used it for prescriptions without any trouble. They would not accept it and said I needed a different card. I got back in town and went into the pharmacy myself the next day (now I am TWO days off my meds). The technician asked for my insurance card. Again she says, "this isn't the right card...it's supposed to say 'Rx or pharmacy on it'". I said, "Look again, the numbers you need must be there because I have used this same card for prescriptions without incident for years." She says, "Oh! there they are. Yup, this insurance card does cover the prescription." Ya...no sh*t. But then...here is the unbelievable part...she tells me that I can't have my meds, unless I want to pay cash, because they entered it as a cash transaction and she doesn't have the authority to change it and asks if I can come back later when the pharmacist is there. It was 3:00 PM on a Sunday so seems reasonable to have a pharmacist present. I simply cannot believe that I have to either come back later in the evening...a THIRD time OR wait another day for my meds because of the incompetence of their staff. I went home to wait and my husband went to get his meds, got the same pharmacist and the same line about her lunch break. The pharmacy is horrible. Need to train their staff, and hire people with customer service skills. I buy insulin for my dog every few weeks. Normally I go to the newbury park or avenida de Los arboles cvs stores but popped into this one as it was along my route today. Won't make that mistake again. It took 20 minutes for them to even figure out if they had it and would be able to sell it to me. I've got a prescription from the vet, and have been told be the other stores I don't even need the prescription since I'm paying retail and it's for a pet. You would have thought I was going to make crystal meth with the way the staff at this store treated me. They Insisted on calling the vet (to confirm her phone number). I walked out after 20 minutes, I had two small kids in the car (with grandma) and just couldn't spend an hour explaining to the staff how the other stores can do something they can't. "Pharmacists Who Don't care". Came here for a schedule pick up for a pain killer that my wife needed. Though I have received a text confirmation in the morning for the pickup, the pharmacist said its not in their system (with a blank face). She kept on repeating "its not in our system" for everything I asked her after that . When I showed her the text, she said it might be a system error. Again with the absolute blank face. When I said I need to talk to the manager, she said manager is going to say the same thing. I asked for the manager anyways and she asked me to wait another 20 minutes. Went in there this past Saturday evening at 5:15-5:20, I saw an employee & asked about the 2 large dogs presently in the store. He said: "There's nothing I can do about it." Then, there were the two teenage girls with the large dogs in the store just right in front of me in line at the cashier. I asked them if they were "service dogs" to which they replied "yes" despite the fact that the dogs didn't have any ID proving so. Then I strongly asked the cashier why there were non-service dogs in the store. She was obviously in favor of the dogs as she was blowing kisses to them at the register & avoided the question. I then yelled at all the useless employees BECAUSE I KNOW ITS ILLEGAL TO HAVE ANY DOG ASIDE A SERVICE DOG IN THE STORE. As a consequence, I was kicked out. I filed a formal complaint & expect an apology from the manager. I will now contact the manager who wasn't at the store to do the right thing because his employees won't do it. His name is Steve Petrovich. Disgusted, I contacted CVS corporate headquarters & explained the issue. It took them 5 days to respond to my email in which they formally apologized. Update: I spoke w/Steve P. & he explained that they simply allow anyone with a dog into the store because of some crazy law that prohibits them from asking whether the dogs in the store are service dogs or not. And now that people are treating CVS like Petco, I will shop elsewhere. Totally unhygienic & ridiculous to allow anyone to bring their non-service animals into a store selling food, drink, drugs, etc. Be forewarned: if you are allergic to dogs, DO NOT visit this CVS, you may have a reaction. I'm switching pharmacies. They screw up my order every time. I have to call them several times to make sure they got it and processed it. They caused me to have to drive out to my dr in west hills to fix the problem myself. They had a phone number wrong for a month and I couldn't get a refill and I had to finally figure it out myself and fill them in on their error. read more

So I was so excited when this CVS location opened up. At first the service was a 5+. Sorry to say, but now it is far below par. I have waited 4 different times for more than 5 minutes today without any response. This is the norm now...I believe the lack of service is due to inadequate staffing. I stopped by CVS to pick up some essentials & was trying to balance a basket full of items and 2 gallons of water when all of the sudden - Jonathan came to the rescue! He kindly picked up the items that had fallen out of my basket and grabbed the big gallons if water and took them to the checkout counter for me. He also provided me w a 30% off coupon as he saw I had a lot of items & he saved us $20 on our total cost. And, if that wasn't enough he came running out to the parking lot to give me the bag of ice I'd paid for, but left on the counter! Jonathan was chivalrous, friendly, thoughtful & kind. I love my pharmacist Evette! She is caring, friendly, always recognizes me and is so genuine. Each time I speak with her I feel like she is really looking out for my best interest. She makes sure I fully understand my medication before I leave the store and is always a joy to talk to. The staff is also wonderfully kind and friendly.
