"i'm not giving you advice I'm not a dentist ! " WTH had happened to the medical field ? A pharmacist used to be someone you could depend on when your doctors office is closed . Initially CVS told us they could order it no problem, but once the doctor actually sent the prescription over, they basically sat on it for weeks before eventually telling us they couldn't get it after all. Super frustrating considering this was medication my daughter actually needed and we kept getting the runaround. I called what felt like every pharmacy in existence and most of them pretty much immediately said they couldn't help. A friend recommended Home Health Pharmacy to me, so I went in the same day to explain the situation. I spoke with the pharmacist Jason, and honestly the difference in care was immediately noticeable. He told me he could transfer the prescription from CVS, order the medication, and have it ready the very next day. He was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely put my mind at ease after a really stressful experience. What's even crazier is CVS told us the medication would cost around $600 a month. Home Health Pharmacy was able to get it down to $445, so we'll be saving about $155 every month on this medication. The medication ended up being ready the next day exactly as promised -- actually earlier than I expected. They also offer delivery, which is amazing. Having worked in a pharmacy myself for 7 years, I really appreciated the level of care here. It reminded me of how pharmacies used to feel before everything became giant corporations where you're just another number in the system. You can really feel the difference with a small family pharmacy that actually cares about helping people.

She tells me the address is out of range for same day delivery (when I asked for the general manager I was told this pharmacist was sitting in for that person and no one was above her) so I asked for customer relations number. She replied I don't have that number. She gave me an 805 number. I asked where headquarters was. She had no idea or didn't want to share. They have been really good about getting new and ongoing meds filled, discontinued etc.. After a hospital discharge I had to fill a medication that was a non formulary medication on their part d plan. They were patient with my questions and helped to get enough to of the med started while I appealed to the part d plan. They sent the PA request to the doctor and then ordered the non generic version since that was what was approved. And they offered me flu and Covid shots while I waited. It gives me comfort knowing they are there for their customers. Harvey and the crew are fantastic. I went to CVS just to see if a med was in stock and I could not leave fast enough. Night and day.

We had an issue with them not being able to order several meds in the past, after telling us they could, only to never call us to say they couldn't order it. We sat for days thinking it was on its way when it wasn't. The last straw was a recent visit when the customer service woman with short dyed reddish purple hair and arm tattoos (nothing wrong with that, just for ID purposes since I couldn't get her name) She was so incredibly rude and unprofessional that it turned me off from ever coming back. I got a text that my RX was ready and when I came 2 days later, she said there was nothing for me. She was short and obviously irritated and said "I don't know who sent you that text but it wasn't us" I showed her the text from Burt's Moorpark and she rolled her eyes and said "well there's nothing here. It turned out to be a mixup from my doctor's office but she made me so feel embarrassed and unwelcomed that I'm never coming back. Giving 2 stars for Kimmy the pharmacist who is professional and prompt but didn't say anything when the other lady was so incredibly rude. I'm bummed but have enough stress in my life without being treated like crap when I go pick up my meds.
