Excellent pharmacy service...clean, courteous, efficient. Store is kept very clean and well-stocked.

I'm surprised at the reviews here, because my experience at Rite Aid on Tamarack has always been excellent. It's my local pharmacy and I'm currently battling a severe illness, so I interact with them a lot especially the pharmacy where I've always found the staff friendly and helpful. All the pharmacists I've talked to have always been nice about answering questions. They are often very busy so they might seemed rushed, but just take the time to be polite to them and they really appreciate it. Also recently when I was trying to find more of a specific yard solar light, the sales associated helping me went above and beyond to try and track it down, even calling other stores. I've only had to use the pharmacy here once, and they were quick, friendly, and got me the drugs I needed, resulting in a vast improvement to the rest of my week. What's really great here, albiet less doctor-approved, is the decent selection of beer. There's always at least one type of crappy beer and one type of great beer that's on a super-cheap special. It has the usual assortment of drugstore stuff, some canned, boxed, or heavily salted foods, and household cleaning products. The ice cream counter is a great throwback to the old Thrifty's. Checkouts are quick and smooth and there's always lots of free parking (though I'd avoid parking too close to the recycling center and leaving your windows down). read more

You're in Rite-Aid, walking around checking out the junk they have for sale. Yippie, is that a ball I want to throw it at someone!!! Do these make noise when I push the button, they do!!!!! No, I did not just push the button on all 20 of these... Wait a minute, is this the same junk they try to sell during the holidays??? Actually, by the dust, it totally is folks, but that's OK and Merry Christmas! So, you've seen all the store"has to offer" now what? Ice-cream time!! Wow, I still have 20 minutes until the laundry is done, I should buy something....something practical. Like some paper towel (I LOVE ME SOME PAPER TOWEL), or detergent that's 2 bucks more expensive than everywhere, a SUPER-BALL, perfume of Celine Dion, or a plastic basket ball w/hoop so I can practice my jump-shot while watching TV. ***WARNING*** the longer you stay here the likelihood of getting crap increases exponentially ...great now you have to buy it!!! This is why I dislike Rite-Aid. When you check-out one register is open and all Rite-Aids do not have "lanes" so people kinda form this monster line that takes over the store! This system is annoying but works...to a point. I mean it's kinda fun to be 20 deep in an actual aisle of the store helping someones grandma reach god-aweful things on the upper shelves. Consequently, I guess I'm responsible for that crap you get on holidays and birthdays and I'm sorry for that. The issue arises when ice-cream lady and sleepy guy in the back open multiple registers. Now, in any other store on planet Earth this would only help the customer but in this drug store that's when the real fun begins! This crazy monster-line of restless ice-cream sugar jacked customers remain "in line" waiting for the next available clerk...like society dictates!!!!!!! This would seem simple BUT random d-bags walking around just kinda walk up and pay for there garbage, cutting off like 15 people in the process. Actually, it's not just young punks, old ladies love to get in on this action...and these cat-ladies are buying crap at Rite-Aid like it's going outta style, AGAIN! This has happened to me like at least 4 times in Rite Aids around the world YES AROUND THE WORLD and it just sucks! The last time, in Fallbrook, I literally had to get out of line, stop the d-bag transaction, and have the teenager turn around to see a sea of pissed off people.... Rite-Aid, you have to figure this out, I really want my stupid basketball thing and I keep leaving it in line because this system sucks! This is the worst pharmacy in the area. I have had my prescriptions sent here for the past year as it is the closest pharmacy to my home. Unfortunately every single time I am here I wait in line more than 20 minutes. I have come to pick up my medication and decided to live in pain rather than wait in line and deal with their terrible customer service. I will be driving out my my way rather than put up with how this place is run. Pathetic that I gave grown to deal with my health in other ways because I can't get my medicine on time. read more

I've been to this pharmacy because it's the closets to my home ,having said that Everytime i have been there there's always an older lady who is freaken rude .tonight I went to ask Wich medicine is good for cold sores since it was for my little one .there was no line nobody waiting so I was in line ,she was doing idk what maybe on computer. I've been to this pharmacy on multiple occasions because it's the closest rite aid to my work. Melanie is who I encounter most frequently and she is consistently RUDE and unpleasant. I hate coming here because of her attitude and lack of customer service etiquette. I'm currently sitting in the waiting room because the pharmacist is on break and I am unable to pick up prescription (that I've had filled here before might I add) without her being here. Melanie has been rude to 2 more customers in the 5 minutes I've been waiting. The management at this location really needs to re-evaluate her employment. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

This is a review for their ice-cream counter. Inexpensive ice-cream - always a treat for the kids after we finish our shopping. Obviously, the selection is somewhat limited but we never run out of options. Counter service is always pleasant - there may be a few minutes' wait for service but not unexpected since the ice cream line is unpredictable. Also, the check-out lines are fairly short at Rite Aid - never too long of a wait - which is a good thing. And 4 stars for the ice-cream counter! read more

They don't have the best service. They don't label their promotions properly. It's not clear what the prices are. After paying and asking why the price was different, the manage spend a few minutes trying to actually find the product that they were advertising. It was the same product just a different variant. They didn't offer to help since there was a mistake on their part for labeling incorrectly. Just not very good customer service. read more

The map doesn't really help in finding the Rite-Aid, if you exit driving North on the 5, then it's to your right. I came at 9:30 pm looking for some beauty stuff. The Sally Hansen scissors/tweezers selection was mostly sold out, and not restocked. They had ONE ITEM left of what I wanted - so I guess I shouldn't complain, but with how bare the shelf was, I just got lucky - the next person might not be as lucky! read more

The customer service with the gentlemen at the register and the female supervisor with the glasses that was great. They were both willing to help when we needed and had great personalities. We will definitely come back. I'm sorry I didn't get their names but they were the ones working Sunday the 10th at 11:00 am. I love going there for meds too. Geoff w. This is for the pharmacy only. Employees always seem to be walking on eggshells. They seem grumpy always. Seems like they always seem to have minimum inventory. Also pharmacist can't make a decision. Says pharmacy open till 10:00pm. Not. Went in today Sunday just before 6:00pm. Was walking towards the pickup section as one of the pharmacy employees was shutting down as she saw me walking towards the desk, I was asking if I could pickup my one prescription she ignored me as she closed the roll down door. As much as I give this place the Bennefit of the doubt it slaps me right in the face. I've finally decided to avoid this pharmacy and switch my prescriptions to a friendly Pharmacy and found one. read more

Worst customer service experience of my life. I had to come back a total of 4 times to get my photos properly developed. This could've been avoided if they'd been on the ball and told me correct information in the first place and hadn't wasted my time and money. I wasn't greeted or spoken to kindly by even one person til I finally had it and wrote to corporate. I was contacted 4 days later. The manager was apologetic but the kind of people hired at this location doesn't speak much for the standards of the store. I'm not a high maintenance customer. Say hey, or how's it going. Tell me have a good day. Fake it if you have to. But I didn't get the time of day. I'm within walking distance of this store. And I'll never go back. read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS PHARMACY! Extremely horrible pharmacy experience. I do not recommend anyone wasting their time going. Staff is mean and uncaring. If there's another pharmacy in even a 5 mile radius go to it. I have had a severe cough for weeks and have had 3 different doctors visits. After taking an antibiotic and the cough still there, they prescribed me a different cough medicine, then what they prescribed me a week earlier. First off, they said they never got the script, so I had to drive back to the urgent care and pick up a physical copy. Keep in mind I'm feeling like absolute crappy. Then they wouldn't fill it because it was similar to what I had been prescribed a week earlier. To make matters worse, the woman behind the counter was extremely rude! I think she was pregnant which I can cut some slack for but she kept talking over me and wouldn't even let me explain the situation. It was the kind of rudeness I couldn't believe an employee would actually act like. I called back urgent care. They said just go to a different pharmacy and if I have issues call back and they'll talk to the pharmacist. I went to a cvs and they filled it no problem. They were actually surprised the rite aid pharmacist wouldn't. I can understand a pharmacy not filling a script but when a doctor from the same facility writes you a script knowing all other medications you've been on and tried, the fact they wouldn't fill it just felt personal and extremely unprofessional. What should have been a simple 15 minutes ended up taking up 2 hours of a day we're I'm feeling horrible and coughing my head off. Again, drive 3-5 miles if you have to just to go to any other pharmacy except this store. read more

Just wanted to give a big shout out to the Pharmacy team there at the Carlsbad Rite Aid for providing exceptional speedy service when I had to pick meds for my brother and at the same time had to catch my flight within the hour. I asked the Pharmacy team my time was limited and if I go get a rushed order and the obliged 100 percent and I got my brothers meds after 5 minutes I submitted the order! Walked in with my 3 year old throwing a fit for passport picture. She was done with her day, after being improperly informed that post office hours had changed (website said something different.) I had several nice ladies help get her picture done. After one hour and half of tandrums,meltdowns and bribing. She allowed Erika and Vero to help us. I have used this pharmacy for 10 years and they are fantastic. Katie even helped me out with a medication when they were short and another time called my primary physician personally when I did not have the right script. They really try to give personalized attention. Since Dr. Quan took over as primary pharmacist things have gotten a lot better. Dr. Quan was even there on a holiday Sunday which was fantastic. He is more than happy to answer questions on OTC items as well and has helped steer me to Rite Aid brands to save money. Iliayana and Norma are the best as Supervisors in the front. This was my go to pharmacy the whole time in Carlsbad. I have moved though so will miss the Staff. read more

Rite Aid is my go-to beer place. The prices beat anyone in the area and it's right on my way home. It's not very busy and the employees are nice enough. The only problem I have is that sometimes they don't have their sale prices tagged. The last time I was in I had to check the beer prices on an ad some random Japanese guy was holding. The pharmacy is never open at 8 AM. The female pharmacist is always late. OPEN AT 8 means OPEN. Window open, register open, everything OPEN. If she can't be there at 8, give her a later shift. I get there at 8 Am b.c I have to drive south on the 5 to work. 3 times in the last month, she was not there at all. Nowhere to be seen. Terrible. read more

Never thought I'd write a review about Rite Aid but here I am doing it. I've been going to this Rite Aid for about 5 yrs and they are always friendly and easy going. These days it's not often you go to a store where it is apparent the employees care about the customers but it seems a part of their culture here. And they recently remodeled which upgraded the store a lot. The group in the pharmacy are great too; always friendly and they get you in and out for prescriptions. read more

I wouldn't even give this pharmacy one star if I could. INCOMPETENCE is too kind a word for this disorganized and S-L-O-W pharmacy. When you call to see if your RX is ready, they tell you 45 minutes. Then, when you get there, the RX is not ready. This has happened too many times for me. I can't take the stress anymore of having to deal with these people. I'm tired of hearing how they're so busy. Pharmacy was great - Staff kept it light and as fun as possible. The Pharmacist and assistant on staff at the time were the brightest of any "chain store" pharmacy I have been to.
