I think of myself as a very fair person when I place any type of review on any media page. I can…read moresay, for a fact that Summit Elevator has hardworking knowledgeable technicians! My parents were in a desperate situation in California (Summit is based in Nevada) and Nick sent out Cameron and a team of technicians to work on our elevator. We were in a desperate situation and packing to move with a dead line coming quickly. It was imperative that our elevator be fixed quickly, correctly, and in confidence. We relied on it for so much of the transport of packed items down both floors of our house. Upon arrival our technician, Cameron wasted no time accessing our elevator and carefully reviewing each floor, and every potential problem there could be with our elevator. Once the multiple problems were located, he clearly explained them to us. Summit Elevator prides itself on being very open with their customers about potential costs and estimates in repairing problems. Our residential elevator had been installed incorrectly by another company and was missing a safety bar at the bottom. This had been overlooked by the technicians from the other company. Our elevator became problematic, making many trips up and down, it had eventually worked a strip off of the wall that helped it stay on the proper floor in places. Suddenly, our elevator dropped from the first floor and froze, suspended between our second and third floor. Due to the other company, not recognizing the issues upon our regularly scheduled visits our elevator ended up fraying the metal cable that was it was suspended on! Summit Elevator was able to fix this problem, and the damage that had occurred from the breakage. Rachel, order the parts needed immediately, and was in constant contact and updating us as to win the parts would arrive and potential time for repair. They kept an open schedule so that they could come when the parts arrived. My parents rely on the elevator, because they lived upstairs and carrying things up the stairs, was not practical for them in their 70s. I would definitely trust summit elevator to work on their elevator again, and I absolutely recommend this company. They are hard-working, very knowledgeable, trustworthy and reliable when it comes to their services. Thank you Summit Elevator! (May 2023)

I was an owner builder on a new construction home with no experience working with elevators. Come…read moreto find out I didn't need any as long as I had Nick and Cameron. These two (and the rest of the Summit Team) are top notch professionals. They were on-site overseeing every phase of the elevator prep and installation even if that meant we saw them every day for a week. If a problem arose they would be here within and hour (not bad since their office is 52 miles from my house) and have the issue corrected before they left. Elevators, whether a retrofit or new construction are a very big deal and finding the right business at an excellent price with experts who are proud of the work they do, means everything.

I tried to get my system fixed from the middle of January to the middle of March and finally gave up. Here is my experience. Week1: Called for service. No response. Week 2: Called again, spoke to a person who scheduled service for following week. Week 3: Tech came, said it was the motor, under lifetime warranty. Said he'd contact manufacturer, get back to me. Week 4 & 5: No response. Called again, spoke to woman who said she'd been wondering about this service call and would look into and get back to me. Week 6: No response. Week 7: Called again, woman said she's send someone out. I said someone already came out, said it was motor. She said he was new and more experienced tech might be able to fix. Week 8: While waiting for tech she called and asked if I knew I had to pay for service call. I said why, if 1st tech was incompetent. She said 2nd tech agreed with 1st tech, saw videos he took. I asked why he was coming out. She said she'd get back to me. She did and cancelled appointment. Week 9: She called back and said they got a new motor but had to charge me $1200 plus $400 service call. I said it had lifetime warranty. She said it didn't. I have paperwork that said it was. They refused to honor it. I gave up and had chair removed. They charged me $600 to take it out. They will fix it up and sell it for thousands. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS FIRM.
