Four and a half stars for this small little coffee establishment at the market!! I was pleasantly surprised how good this coffee is. The flavors pop and it's not so sweet like most places. A latte is truly an American latte and not full of sugar. They have a great crew and all cheerful and helpful. I went last week for the first time and appreciated the coffee and choices. They were patient with my thousand questions and that was helpful. The prices are normal for market. I enjoyed the sugar cane recycled straws so they don't have that disgusting cardboard taste!! Yay to that. The place gets waves of being busy as well as being empty so you just have to find your time and I must say that they work pretty efficiently. I love their cups too. They're rounded on the bottom and the cup is all around the same size vs the smaller bottoms and bigger tops. I just thought it was a cute design for the cup. My coffee was great and I got my caffeine fix for the day. Thank you!!

This was a good stop for a morning coffee! It was a quick and easy grab! The guy was very nice, and helped figure out what I wanted. The only reason I gave it 4 stars was the price was pretty high for an iced coffee, other than that, it was great!

We love going to Kaka'ako Farmers Market on Saturdays. Our go-to place for lunch is Youpo Noodles. While waiting for our noodles, we saw a long line at Rise and Grind and decided to give this coffee stand a try. We got the 16oz Hawaiian Iced Latte. This flavors include mac nut, coconut, and vanilla. The latte flavor was good. I can taste the coconut and vanilla flavor, but not much of the mac nut flavor. I believe it should be nuttier? The size of the latte was very small even for a 16oz drink. There wasn't enough for the drink to be satisfying. Overall, this is a cute and small coffee stand. There are different variety of coffees and a great selection of flavors. There are also customizable cold brew and latte flavors. I would get a coffee from this place once a while with a meal at the farmers market.

They had a long line at around 10am at the Kakaako farmers market, but it was definitely worth the wait!! ***What I ordered **Winter Spiced Latte w/ Oat Milk (10/10) The perfect balance of sweet and bitter! I loved it all! My favorite part about the drink was the "winter spice." You can taste the cinnamon tones in the coffee also, their oat milk wasn't overpowering the latte! An interesting thing about some of their lattes is that they use Pono Potions syrups to sweeten them! Overall, The staff was really nice, the drink came out within a few minutes, and my latte tasted really good! I would love to come back and try another latte from Rise & Grind! Can't wait to catch them at another pop-up or farmers market!

This little blue trailer packs some huge joy in a cup! I've known them to be here at the Mauka side of the Kaka'ako Farmers Market though never had the chance to grab a sip as they always have a crowd of lines forming all around them and I can see why. I took advantage of a work schedule adjustment and grabbed my chance to rush over early and got my hot cup of Hawaiian Snowball to get me warmed up while I scan the market. Awesome friendly staff is amazing as I placed my order they even asked what kind of milk as I tend to forget to ask of alternatives that's available which Oatmilk is my favorite....aahhhh!!!! Hawaiian Snowball is coconut + peppermint and you can make it a cold brew or latte (hot or iced) woah!! Absolutely smooth cup of warmth that's not sweet but has the right amount of flavor and whatever magic they make happen in the cute trailer is comforting and I'm so glad I got it the first thing this morning!! Thanks a latte!!!

Always super slow service for coffee that is just poured from a container. Taste isn't terrible but nothing special

Takeout dinner from Honolulu, Hawaii…read more.. Heaven's Soul Food Cuisine (food truck) was two trucks away from Chicano's taco truck, across from the Convention Center. We were right there, so I ordered a Smoked BBQ Rib plate. It came with 2 sides. We chose Baked beans and Green beans with smoked turkey. Service was very friendly and efficient! I believe that they worker said, "I appreciate you!" Wow! That's very nice of him! We took the plate home (it was too windy to sit alongside the busy sidewalk) and discussed the tasty ribs, sweet (molasses?) Baked beans and yummy green beans with smoked turkey. Mmm! I would return and get the catfish plate, Po Boy sandwich, and walking tacos!

I was surprised to see the place pretty empty on a Friday night around 7. I went to the bar to order take out and the guy working was really nice and took my takeout order. I will say it smelled amazing in the restaurant. Food took about 10 mins to come out. The catfish was great, two pretty big pieces very well seasoned. The Mac and Cheese and Yams was also pretty good. I will say the Mac tasted better than it looked and I only say that because at first glance it didn't seem to have much cheese but I was wrong. The corn bread tasted good but was dry. I warmed it and added some butter and that didn't trick. The only thing I personally wasn't a fan of was the greens. They weren't necessarily bad but like Keith Lee says I don't know if I'm their target audience. They tasted a bit sweet and there was something else in the seasoning that I wasn't a huge fan of but couldn't quite put my finger on. I almost forgot the plate came with "yellow seasoned rice" which is under the fish on the Mac side. Honestly it's a free inclusion so not super fair to judge it. Everything in the picture was about $47 bucks. In my opinion that's a bit high and I'm guessing that's because it's in Waikīkī. I definitely plan to go back especially to try the Happy Hour, and I'd like to dine in to see how that goes.

There are the tiniest baby roaches in the crevices of the picnic table due to the buildup of gunk and I saw them crawling around the table and larger ones on the ground which made me gag. We had the "highly rated" North Shore shrimp three years ago and the way they serve it to you isn't very appetizing. However, this shack, chef's kiss. The presentation and the flavor was all there. My partner's platter was half short rib and half garlic shrimp. (Fries/drinks from a different location.) Service 5/5 The staff are friendly and very hardworking. They were very quick to get me a plastic bag when I asked. 100000% coming back.

This was more chipotle ish with maybe some sort of minced onion than the spicy garlic shrimp I had the past two times. I didn't eat here when it was Angry shrimp because they mixed onion and mushrooms with shrimp or something and I was looking for Garlic shrimp. I have the picture from last weeks garlic shrimp. Last week it tasted like it had fish sauce in it with spices and garlic, etc...tonight it literally tastes like bbq seasoning mixed with chipotle seasoning and chili onion. I'm not writing this review to bash this shrimp truck because I think they are very nice but more so as constructive criticism...to hopefully keep their recipe consistent. People want the flavor of Garlic shrimp without having to go to the north shore. These other seasonings just didn't cut it for me:(

We were hungry in the morning, so we arrived just after they opened. There was lots of parking. We ordered and while the Poi rolls were cooking we had a chance to chat with the owner Dennis. He described the extra effort that they put into every ingredient. Later after we finished eating, Dennis would bring bowls of freshly cut cantaloupe from a close-by market. It was perfectly ripe and one of the best that I have tasted. That is an example of the Aloha you will feel while visiting. I have been to Hawaii a dozen times and was never a fan of Poi because I never tasted a dish that was prepared properly. We went to a picnic the previous day that had a donut like pasty made with Poi and fresh Poi made at a local restaurant. They were both delicious and this totally changed my opinion. Based on that positive experience I wanted to try the signature Poi dog. We opted for the spicy version. It was so tasty with the matching condiments. If you are a foodie that wants to try something unique, be sure to give it a try. Dennis has a sister location in Waikiki that is managed by his partner Hong Banh-Mi sandwiches are one of my weekly lunch options when at home, so we were excited to plan a visit to Aloha Hot Dog and Banh-Mi for dinner!
