Sometimes 2x a week! I've had Gnarly chai, Party wave, dukes and even the blueberry coffee when in season. But my go to now is KY CHAI. Issa secret menu item, along with the Cheeky Chai. I've been to other spots for a dirty chai and NOBODY CAN COMPARE. Other places make em watery or the puck is burnt. Kooks never miss so far. I get my drinks hot in the mornings. But they said for try em cold. Very welcoming vibe and sets me up for the busy day ahead.

Each drink was $9, and I absolutely loved that they have dairy free options for $1 more. Green Times Matcha pops up at markets around the Honolulu area, so definitely check their Instagram before heading out to see where they'll be. Also they've gotten super popular (rightfully so!) so be prepared to wait a few minutes for your drink. Yesterday had the privilege of enjoying a banana cream latte at Green Times popup in Manoa. It was rich. It was creamy. It has a surprisingly hint of a salty finish (which was nice). Drink was exploding in flavor. Was a little caught off guard with the $10 price per drink. Add on a surcharge from their square machine (even when using a debit card), tax, and tip and you are easily looking at $12+ for a not large drink. I get it, its expensive to do business in Hawaii and labor intensive popping up here and there and all over the island. Drink is made with some high quality ingredients. Matcha hailing from Kyoto, Japan. Customer service is great with the option to add more matcha and/or adjust sweetness. Would I be back? This shop is located in a strip mall and was popular this morning as all of the tables inside were full. Besides the seating inside, they also have a coffee bar to order from, some baked goods, and outdoor seating. After looking at the menu, I ultimately decided on a hot The Point Latte, which is their signature macadamia nut vanilla latte. There was only one person working there today, but he was nice and polite. He informed me that he had to put something on in the back. It still only took about five minutes for my coffee to make it to me, and he apologized for the wait, which I did not think was bad to begin with. After getting into the car, I tasted my latte and thought it was pretty good. The macadamia nut added some buttery notes to the coffee while the vanilla supported it and added some sweet-like flavors. As for the coffee itself, it was strong and present, which I enjoyed. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. I enjoyed the coffee that I had and would be interested in trying some of their food as well.

Today I saw that this place was open at the Malama market in Alamoana mall upon arrival they had around four or five people working and a lot of people standing around waiting for their orders. The menus were clear and had a lot of options. There wasn't a line to order which was good. They gave us our order number and I walked around for around five minutes and returned back. I probably had to wait another 15 minutes on top of that. It was a long way to receive the drinks, which was unfortunate and you would think it would be a little faster service with all the staff members that they have. Now for the actual drinks, both of them were delicious. My husband really liked the Hojicha drink. When I tried it, it tasted rich and strong in flavor. My banana cream Matcha was also very well balanced, and not too sweet which I appreciate some places have Matcha that is way too sweet for my liking. I could tell the quality of the powder was high as well. I think I would go back, but I do hope to see that they can improve the wait time for service.

After 15 mins of waiting for my drink .. then someone started to redo the lines since they were blocking the way for people walking through.. we didn't know where to stand so they decided to place the people waiting for their drinks in the back but you couldn't hear them calling your name if your drink was ready .. but I decided to move up because I couldn't hear any names called . Though all sounded perfect there was one that I just had to try and oh my happy palate it was just so refreshing as it's the adjective I've used on the regular as the summer keeps getting hotter I'm afraid you'll hear it much more than usual lol! "The Badu" is the drink Genmaicha, Honey, Apple Juice and Club Soda they already had me at genmaicha which is green tea with roasted rice that gives this light and airy tea the nutty flavor which is healthy as well but adding some sweetness and more airy texture with club soda had me in love at the first sip. They recently expanded to the larger space next door and have really built it (with their sweat blood and tears) from the ground up. I love chatting with the owner and baristas who are always so knowledgeable about their brews and friendly, serving aloha even to the unhoused in the area. Talk about true service and making a community better. For a great all-around experience, they are worth the regular drive in to down town!
