Our group of six ended up having a little bit of everything from sausage dip and pepper dip to Albanian dumplings to the Mix Grill Platter, and everything that we ordered was delicious. I don't think that we were able to finish everything, and we ended up taking some stuff home. However, it truly felt authentic and It felt real. We also paired that with some Albanian wine, which was delicious as well. it was a very homey location for people to come try some new food and have a hilarious and great time. I'd also be remiss if I don't call out that the bread that they gave was delicious, so light, so airy and that we were begging for more after the first round. They pair so well with the dips that we got and trust that I'll be back for more of that alongside the entire menu.

It was my first Albanian dining experience - the restaurant seemed traditionally set up with Albanian decor and (what I'd imagine) music. It was quite easy to get a table for evening dinner though they do take reservations. They have a large dining room in back with numerous tables and decor hung up. The staff were warm, welcoming and quite attentive throughout the meal and helpful for recommendations. The menu offers nice descriptions of dishes and of cultural significance for certain ones as well. I started off with a yogurt dish and bread - the bread seemed fresh out of the oven in being hot and steamy when cracked, revealing a soft interior. The yogurt was light and refreshing and helped balance spices in the mains. For starter I got the Fli- a multilayered pancake slice with layers of crepe that was primarily buttery. It didn't have a strong taste but went nice with yogurt. For the main I got the skenderberg - veal filet mignon stuffed with cheese, a crispy potato exterior wrap and covered in cream paired with potatoes and sliced peppers. This dish was excellent and very filling with strong flavors - tender, juicy meat, creamy hot cheese and cooler vegetables to balance the hot temperature and strong flavors. I was so full I deferred dessert though they have a few options. Overall a great meal with a large menu and great dining experience, I would definitely return! They have a location in Manhattan I haven't checked out, but per the staff that location is basically identical in menu but more expensive.

As one should. I ordered the Pasta al Forno, which showed up hot, cheesy, and very much not interested in being subtle. Comfort food doing the absolute most -- baked, sauced, and bubbling like it knew it was the right choice. One would think "Boiled eggs in pasta?", but trust me, the bechamel sauce takes it to the next level. Ms. J. went for the daily special: Radiatori in Cartoccio, cooked inside a sealed pocket of aluminum foil and opened tableside like a little pasta reveal. Steamy, aromatic, and frankly a bit of a showoff -- in the best possible way. And then there was the Tiramisu. We shared it (heroically), and I'm just going to say it: top-tier tiramisu. Not too sweet, beautifully balanced, rich without being heavy -- one of the best we've had in NYC, and we do not make that claim lightly. We both love tiramisu. We both judge tiramisu. This one passed with stars. Zero nonsense, big flavors, and a tradition that continues to age very well. We'll be back. Obviously. ‍

I wish there were more locations of this in Manhattan. We made an order at the desk before we seated ourselves and for a Saturday evening, there was quite a bit of open tables which was great. I ordered the Szechuan Braised Beef Noodles and they were absolutely delicious. The noodles tasted a bit like ramen noodles but they were able to grab all the delicious and garlic flavored soup. I really appreciated the soft-boiled egg with its marinated egg whites. I also loved the big tender beef chunks as well. Overall, I really cannot wait to go back to Zhongzhong noodles and I hope that they open up more locations. I will say though that since I last went to the Roosevelt Island location, they have raised their prices quite a bit - maybe $2 or $3 per dish.

Again the best one I've ever had. Sweet, fresh and the juxtaposition of seasoning to meat and cheese and plantsin was beyond delicious. They also have good Columbian sodas. The apple and cola weren't overly sweet. The pork chicharon ceviche was again the best I've ever tasted. The chicharon here is impeccable. The onions weren't soggy and weren't potent. So, this one was a real doozy of a visit. The drinks were fair, with our order being a Goose Island…read moreIPA, Long Island iced tea, and a pomegranate martini. The service and food, on the other hand, were quite a mixed bag. We ordered a margherita pizza, pancake tacos, steak and eggs, and French toast with a side of sausage--the pizza, at least, was good. However, the "French toast" was more like an anemic panini press trying to pass as French toast. The steak and eggs comprised of a fairly well-cooked (that is, it was the right temperature) yet underseasoned steak of a relatively dubious cut, underseasoned home fries, and eggs done wrong (sunny side instead of over easy). The lattermost was the start of the problem, as I was willing to give it a shot, but found the texture off-putting. In light of this, I brought the problem to our server Adalia, who brought it to her manager Elvia. Thankfully I had someone else with me to tell me what happened: Elvia came over without addressing me on their error, silently took a look at my plate and instructed Adalia to have the kitchen put the eggs back on the fire. She takes my plate to extract the eggs, and brings them back (unsurprisingly) completely overdone, first in Elvia's hands, then in Adalia's for her to serve; we send for a refire, and they come back correct 7 minutes or so after I've already finished eating. Considering the hassle it took to get them, I couldn't trust it enough to eat, leading them to waste as well. After all was said and done, the GM Amer comes over to see how things were, and was thankfully helpful and understanding of our situation. Here's the rub: I was initially willing to overlook the steak, the home fries, and even the eggs if the error was properly ameliorated. Adalia and Amer both did very well, and I'm grateful for them for that; Elvia, on the other hand, managed to break the chain of competent customer service by directing the server to handle the problem in a way that was set up for failure (if you mess up an egg, it's an immediate refire because of how the egg cooks in the first place -- Amer also arrested to that policy) all without addressing us and taking accountability, due to negligence or whatever else. Not only that, but when sending the incorrect eggs over the second time, she couldn't even bring it to us herself--it would have been easy, seeing as she was the one that originally had them--and left Adalia and her tip to potentially take the fire if the patrons happen to be angry. Mistakes are fine--everyone makes them--but I'd describe this as cowardly more than anything else, and I take issue with that in particular from a leadership standpoint. While Amer graciously extended an invitation for a better experience next time, I can't say I'll be taking him up on the offer when their service and food are this misaligned; unfortunately, a disappointment overall.
