How have I never reviewed Ringolevio?! I used to be their neighbor, and honestly miss it so much. Whenever I needed something to eat or had a friend visiting, I'd always come here. The food is great for both brunch and dinner, the restaurant is homey and cozy in a quiet, the decor has an interesting modern rustic feel to it, and for a hot minute, it doesn't feel like you're in New York anymore. Love ya Ringo. I'll be back to visit next time I'm in NYC. read more

I'm shocked that more people don't know about this place. Art on walls. Vintage feel with a bit of modern. Flowers and tulips. Service- without a fault. Waiters were polite...with plenty of "how are you guys doing? Is the food to your liking? And apologies if necessary. I felt like I was on a pedestal! Food was delish! We had the chicken and waffle and FRENCH TOAST KABOB. What a brilliant idea. I always want a savory dish with something sweet and this dish is exactly that. Creative ideas like the kabob are what most restaurants lack. Makes eating so much more fun. I mean...every brunch spot can be expected to have a Benedict. And oh yea it's only 10...TEN bucks. Holy! Also mimosas...pear, mango, grapefruit, any flavor you want. ;) read more

Was checking out the area and found this place. Really great atmosphere, two guys I was talking to at the bar were friendly and welcoming. Food was quick. Branzino with spinach and mashed potatoes was delicious. Will be back! read more

While I bet this is actually 4-star brunch place, the wait for the food was so long that I had to give Ringolevio 3 stars. Let's start with the good. The atmosphere is small, warm, and cozy, with a lots of interesting art, fixtures, and memorabilia on the walls. While our waiter was rushed, he was very kind and considerate and gave us mimosas on the house after he accidentally spilled the cream. Small gestures go a long way! The pancakes we started with were delicious: not too heavy, but crispy on the outside, with a bevvy of fresh fruit to top it off. The sandwiches were also tasty...but took over an hour to make it to our table! While I greatly enjoyed the buffalo chicken sandwich (crispy poultry, with melted mozzarella, peppers, and onions), and the fries and salad that came with it, the long wait was no fun, considering the restaurant was not packed to the brims. There is no way an omelet and two sandwiches should take that long at a restaurant accustomed to a brunch crowd. With some better service, Ringolevio can round out its reasonable prices and tasty food for a nice Brooklyn brunch experience. read more

I hate to do this but it was the worst experience I have had in a dog's age. We were hosting a party of 15 with a hard out of 9:30. We got there at 7p and not even a drink appeared before 8p. One of my friends brought up the situation the bartender who was "SO BEYOND RUDE" my friend was being polite. The waiter seemed to resent the customers. I really think this place put a damper on my weekend. No one was even hungry when the food finally arrived as we were too stressed out we would miss our show. We arrived at 7p to be sure to see a band at 9:45 and we won't be back. read more

Was a bit skeptical with so many 5 star reviews for such a new restaurant, but every star was absolutely well deserved. Came here for brunch and at first glance, the brunch items seem pretty ordinary on paper and just like all other brunch spots. Was in the mood for some classic eggs Benny and to much surprise, the subtle flares in Ringolevio's eggs Benny made for a nice surprise. Prosciutto instead of Canadian bacon and over a bed of spinach with a drizzle of balsamic reduction made for the perfect improvements on this brunch classic. Presentation was beautiful. The service was incredible. We had also order some Burrata, which they were unfortunately out of, but gave us some apples and tomatoes in its place. Definitely want to come back here for dinner (and the burrata)! Loved the guys that worked here as well! New neighborhood favorite!! read more

Stumbled here randomly one night after a show nearby and just based on the outdoor area alone we knew the search for a spot was over. Then checked out the inside which was decorated amazingly, drinks which were great, and staff who were friendly. Awesome spot. read more

I debated whether to leave a review, because I love Ringolevio and want it to do well... but I don't want it to do so well that I can't just waltz in and get a seat! This is me and my husband's favorite neighborhood restaurant, and the 5 stars it has on Yelp are well deserved. It's nice to have a place close by that is delicious, reasonably priced, and the owners and staff are the nicest people ever. In short, the perfect replacement for Frankie's (their sandwiches rocked, but this place is so much better). So, here's what to do. Start your dinner off with a nice glass of $9 wine. Get the meat place. Get all the meats. The meat/cheese trays come with some nice touches, like fruits and jams, and this deep-fried dough that somewhat resembles the outer wrapped of a cream-cheese wonton and perfectly complements the food. The beef carpaccio is also an excellent choice, as are the crostini. I had the spinach/apple/walnut/pecorino salad last time I went, and that was a nicely done salad as well. What to eat for mains? I've had the meat lasagna (definitely recommend), the trio of grass fed beef burgers (good, but small), the lamb kebob (delicious), the grilled pork chop (perfectly cooked), and my personal favorite, grilled skirt steak. The only thing that I might skip woudl be the spinach/ricotta ravioli. It was good, but there isn't a ton of flavor to it. Also, every night they have specials, and they usually have some sort of pasta special which I would definitely try out. They definitely know how to cook pasta al dente and make sure that it comes to you perfectly. The mashed potatoes are really good, too, so if you don't get the skirt steak do yourself a favor and get those for a side. Slightly cheesy, very buttery, completely heaven in your mouth. I've heard great things about the pies, but I've never actually had one. Last time I went, they ran out (sad face), but to make up for it, they gave me tiramisu on the house. But I'll definitely be coming back and getting pie next time (it might help if I didn't order so much food before dessert). So go! Because I want this place to stay and be successful. But please leave me a seat, because I definitely want to come back again and again. read more

This is a great place for a date or a family meal! We came here with my dad, sister and her bf and me and my bf. The food was pretty solid 4-star, with some things being nice and tasty (like the grilled seafood and the bolognese sauce) and some being a little bland but not bad (the lamb skewer, the gorgonzola sauce). But I think it deserves 5 stars because the people there were so friendly and kind and they had a nice amount of vegetable items on the menu that weren't covered in oil. The broccoli rabe side was really nicely cooked and not bitter! The prices here are good too, we fed 5 people with 2 drinks for just under $100 before tip. I'll definitely be back to try more on the menu! read more

Had a great dinner for a friend's birthday here Monday night. Delicious food, particularly the homemade pastas, great wine and cocktail selection, and very attentive service. Didn't catch too much of it because we were sitting in the front of the restaurant, but the live jazz by the back bar seemed great as well. Overall we had a wonderful experience. Look forward to going back soon. read more

It's confusingly attached to a separate business something neither the decor nor the employees make clear. I think the waiter we had was new because he was really confused the whole time, but the food drinks and prices were great! Great brunch, and even better service. We were greeted and checked on throughout! Food came out in a timely fashion too. Environment is cool, comfy place for a date or brunch with friends. This place is fantastic for brunch. They are incredibly accommodating, friendly and helpful. The service is outstanding. I've been for brunch a few times and they've held a table for us on short notice. They've parked out stroller outside securely for us. Their brunch is awesome, I almost always get the salmon eggs benedict. Also, their coffee game is A+. Dinner is also amazing, I think I've tried everything on the menu at this point but I recently had the meat lasagna for the first time and it was the best I ever had and I grew up with an Italian grandma (sorry grandma!). I've been coming here since they opened and the staff has always been super nice to us. Seriously if we ever have to move I think I'll miss this place the most. read more

What defines a neighborhood? A sense of community. A feeling that you are part of something. Neighbors that know you. Ones that you share BBQ and a beer with in the back yard. A block that feels like it's your own. Local spots that become your "haunts" and have a way of turning the volume down of this crazy city. I've been living on Richardson and North Henry for 2 years and In the ~8 months that Ringolevio has been around, the space and the staff have been that local spot in our little neighborhood. The atmosphere, the food, and the people I've meet and shared drinks with have really made this place stand out. Ringolevio has become my friend's weekend brunch institution. Their multiple flavors of mimosas and FRENCH TOAST KABOBS are unreal. The perfect place to fill up, fight the hangover and reflect on the night before (and usually plan the night to come). Dinner is great here as well. I'm a vegetarian and their Lasagna is a real go-to. If you are also in the "date night" sort of mood, It's an awesome spot to have a few drinks at the bar and split a cheese plate (without breaking the bank). The guys behind the bar always have killer pairing suggestions. The dim lighting, reclaimed wood tables and overall decor makes it pretty intimate while Paul the owner always has a great selection of classic vinyl playing. If you haven't checked this place out. Do it. 5/5 stars. read more

Wow. What can I say about this place? Let's be Brooklyn cynical and start with the negatives. The sign has terrible font. The space is slightly "cozy" (small). That's about it. Get the buratta. It's the best dairy product you'll ever have, more dessert than appetizer. My girlfriend's pasta special was so fresh and flavorful it must have been minutes old. My steak was perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and mouth-watering. We've tried a few desserts and they always deliver. The food here is above and beyond. The best thing about Ringo, however, is the service. I'm not sure if they remembered us from last time, but we felt like returning guests of honor, as if we were visiting close friends who just happen to be amazing chefs. We'll have to come back for brunch soon. Bottomless mimosas?? read more

This place is so cool! We shared a cheese board, the gorgonzola gnocchi, and vegetarian lasagnette - all really yummy. The montepulciano was also really good and complimented the dinner well. After a long and final day at The Other Art Fair, my husband and I went to Ringolevio for dinner. It was Sunday night and the restaurant was packed. Everyone seemed happy and content. The restaurant was rustic with several large abstract paintings, which gave the restaurant an artsy feel. Chris, the GM, met us at the door and promptly seated us in the only available table (which was for a party of six). Hubby ordered a lemon drop martini and I got the Raspberry Beret, which were delicious. Chris later explained the cocktail was named after Prince's song. Chris was also kind enough to let us know that all the ingredients came from day's farmers market. The restaurant believes in giving back to the community. We ordered the Olives and Spiedino di Mare for appetizers. They were delicious. Olives were briny and flavorful. The grilled calamari and shrimp were perfectly cooked with the right amount of pesto. Yummy. Then, our entres. The catch of the day. Pan seared bronzino lightly salted and peppered which was perfectly paired with sautéed spinach with garlic and hand mashed potatoes. Again, yummy and amazing. By dessert time, hubby was full. However, I ordered the seasonal pie. Apple pie with vanilla gelato. Perfectly seasoned apples with caramel and cinnamon in a folded fillo dough. Food amazingly delicious. Service impeccable. Overall, a must try if you are in Brooklyn. If I lived in Brooklyn, I will be a regular customer, eating at least three times a week. In addition, in the back of the restaurant, there is a school bus were art is taught and made. The restaurant currently have a holiday art fair. read more

How people are able to not give this place 5 stars is beyond me. We've been trying to find a decent brunch place in the neighborhood for a long time until we've finally found Ringo. This restaurant is a hidden treasure! We have driven past it every day since it opened and only realized it was here after searching on Yelp. It has quickly become a favorite brunch spot though, as the food is phenomenal, the atmosphere/music are relaxed and inviting and the staff are so nice! We had a wonderful brunch here few months back and never got around to writing the review. If it was bad, we definitely would've gotten on it much quicker. The food was quite good, we came early so there was no wait, and the staff was quiet and attentive. Come early, as we've said, to ensure you get a table. I came for brunch on New Year's Day with A and another couple. I really enjoyed my bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and though I really wish I had home fries, I'm glad that it came with apples and a salad instead since it's much healthier. Updating this review with a highly deserved 5 stars. So we came back after Paul, one of the owner, left a voicemail apologizing deeply for our previous sad experience. We decided to give it a second chance and to go with a business associate. We were really well welcomed as anyone else in this small and homy neighborhood restaurant. We had an experience like we've never had so far in NYC. Besides the excellent hospitality and service , they have excellent food. We came over for brunch and received couple of mimosas (mango, pear, grapefruit and peach), a charcuterie plate with Italian dry meats and a taste of 3 kind of cheese. It was absolutely delicious. We highly recommend. Plus it was served with the "carnivale bread" like my hubby's momma used to make. So a 5 stars right there. But that is not it. I really wanted to try the lasagna AND the panettone toast kebab. So we decided to all share the meat lasagna and we got the steak, the salmon Benedict and the panettone toast. Mama mia ! Another 5 stars. Honestly I haven't had a good lasagna in 6 years (Except the one that is homemade by my husband) and they nail it. Perfect cooking time, perfect pasta texture and perfect meat-tomato sauce. And to our greatest satisfaction, they serve their pasta with a jar of grated parmigiano. No need to say how delighted we were. The panettone, according to my taste and cooking skills, was such a creative idea! The mix between fresh fruits, the panettone panned and the light red fruit coulis was delicious and subtle. I didn't even put syrup on it. It would have been an insult to the whole dish. The steak was perfect temperature (medium rare), the scrambled eggs seemed to be good as well and the salmon Benedict was devoured. Well, 5 stars strike again ! And, as beautiful adding gesture, we received the homemade apple pie. We did not think we would be able to have room for it. But we actually didn't need room. Crispy from outside and so melty from inside. It was really delicious to. To the owner : thank you for having called back and left the voicemail. We are glad that we came and gave that second chance. Thank you as well for your kind hospitality and an environment where guest satisfaction is your priority. It is very rare nowadays. To any Yelper : we highly, highly recommend this place for either brunch or dinner. From start to finish you will have a wonderful experience both in terms of the food and the service/hospitality. 5 STARS for everything ! read more

We had an unfortunate experience at fourfivesix/ringolevio tonight. My husband and our other couple friends came here for dinner before a show at Brooklyn steel and had multiple issues with our meals. I got the spinach ravioli with arrabiata sauce and it was fine. Pasta was clearly homemade and sauce was spicy and flavorful but I personally have made better fresh pasta in my home. My husband got the lamb skewers which were really kebobs with peppers and onions, and his lamb was raw. Our other friend also got the kabobs and while his were cooked, they were still cold and chewy. Both also commented that the meat was terribly under seasoned and had no flavor. He also got the roasted beets for a side and they came cold and looking like they were boiled or from a can or something. Both my husband and our friend sent back the lamb and beets and they gave my husband a brand new dish which was better and they heated up the beets but they were still no where near what you think roasted beets would be. Our other friend got the mushroom pasta and said it was fine but lacked flavor and she also got the broccoli rabe side which was essentially frozen chopped broccoli boiled in a pot of water and served. Not any thing resembling broccoli rabe like you would expect. It's very rare any of us have sent things back but this was just a huge disappointment and lack of quality control on their dishes. The ambience was also unpleasant and it was so loud we could barely hear ourselves talking with all of the other patrons who were literally yelling to one another. Our server however was very nice and accommodating and they comped our entire meal and we only paid for our drinks (which were standard and fine). Obviously it wasn't his fault that the food was not cooked properly but in no way do we recommend coming here for dinner. Maybe for drinks as they had a nice patio area but not food. read more

Ringolevio - Fig, prosciutto and goat cheese- so good! - Mediterranean Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Last night was my third or fourth visit to Ringolevio. The food was uneven, but the service was so poor that I may never return. Our server asked for our drinks, then ten minutes later came back and asked for our drink orders again. Okay, no big deal. When our food arrived, my salmon was seared and raw inside. Again, no big deal, I don't mind asking for it to be thrown back into the oven for a moment, but no one came to check on our table after we got our food, and even when we tried - aggressively after a while! - to flag down servers, no one would look at us. We were sitting on the patio. Our server came out onto the patio at least four times after we got our food and never looked at us - we would be waving our hands and he would turn his back. There were two managers on the floor as well, and both of them managed to ignore us too. Finally, my husband just got up and took the fish to the manager to ask it to be cooked a little more. Fifteen minutes later when I got it back, it was cooked a vengeful well-done. No one came to check how the fish was. We spent most of our dinner waiting (no surprise: it took a very long time to get the check) and what should have been an hour-long affair took closer to two hours, just to have dinner. If anyone had apologized, even just a cursory apology, or made some effort to make sure we had a nice evening, I would not be posting this review. I have worked in hospitality and every restaurant misses sometimes. But none of the managers checked on our refire, our server never even spoke to us after taking our order, and at the end of evening I could tell he felt embarrassed at how the evening had gone. I felt like he gave up on us having a good dinner and just decided he didn't care anymore. We still had to pay that $80 check, though. I would not have posted this review if I got the sense that anyone at the restaurant cared about our experience. I get the feeling that there is very little teamwork in this restaurant. Also, the food was bland. Everything needed salt. I'm giving it three stars because my husband's pasta was pretty good (still needed salt) and the vibe is cool. read more

My boyfriend lives literally two minutes from this hot brunch spot, so we ventured there once Sunday afternoon after we were feeling lazy. I ordered the eggs benedict (regular, not salmon), and my boyfriend ordered the two eggs with sausage. All of our food came quickly, piping hot and delicious. The potatoes especially were great. I loved the side of salad that my benedict came with--it was mesclun tossed in a very light vinagrette dressing. The turnover is quick, the coffee is hot, and it's a bustling crowd on a Sunday so be prepared to wait 20-30 minutes on a bad day and 5-10 on a good day (for two, that is). I'd like to try the pasta next time I come :) read more
