Such a great half day tour with Brooks! Excellent tour for any skill level. Had a great time exploring the trails and gaining a little confidence on the bike again. Looking forward to coming back to Moab and doing some more trails!

Excellent experience on a half-day ride with Carl and Brian at Rim Tours today at Dead Horse State Park. Wife gave me the green light to steal away for a half day while passing through Moab, and although I'd rather have ridden every day we are here, it didn't fit into family touring plans. Found Rim Tours on Google, and one call to Melissa and I was booked. Met them at Lions Park this morning- more convenient than meeting them at their home base, and was whisked away in the loaded van. A brief into to the Santa Cruz bikes, covering safety, etc.- and we were off. A few notes on the ride- 1. Bring water, snacks, sunblock, sunglasses, and gloves. Helmet, bike, water bottle provided. 2. Expect a few terrain obstacles but nothing too rowdy. Not a great place for your first mb encounter, but an easy roll with lots of stops for views, ecology lessons, or to pack the group back up. Mostly rock features, but so e deep sand and some brief climbs. 3. Expect beautiful, carbon fiber Santa Cruz bikes. 1x gearing makes it simple. Beautiful, well- maintained rides. 4. Expect a little personalization. I was with an awesome Swiss family with three teen daughters and another adult fella from Denver. I was able to roll quickly with the front guide and hit things at pace. Accommodated riders of all levels. Fun group! 5. As always, tip your guides at the end. These guys were great, funny, and told lots of trivia and history and ecology without being showboat personalities. Laud back and chill, but can ride and know their stuff. Only blunder was requesting a bike with SPD pedals, but mu clips are actually Crank Bros and did not clip. Annoying, but totally my fault. It worked well enough for me to not think too much while riding. Completely my fault. Go with this outfit. Been doing it since the mid 80's, and do it well. Would not hesitate to book with them again...this tine for a longer ride in the mountains or...can't wait to ride Moab again!

My husband and I booked a tour with Rim Tours online. I emailed back and forth with Melissa to determined what tour was best for two riders with limited experience. She made a great suggestion for Klondike Bluffs. On the day of the tour, Dave picked us up at the meet up spot. He was early and very friendly. We drove out to the tour location together in the Rim Tours van. Dave helped us set the bikes up and showed us the ropes on the amazing mountain (BRAND NEW) bikes that they provide. Dave was super knowledgeable, rode with us to our abilities, and stopped when we needed breaks. The group was only my husband, myself, and Dave which was excellent. I had been very worried when we were booking the tour that we would potentially be holding other people up on the tour who may have been more experienced than my husband and I. Thankfully I didn't need to worry about this at all! The tour was very challenging and really an amazing experience.

What a fantastic experience I had with Rim Tours and our private guide Matt. I decided to go for the private tour because one rider was a bit nervous. Our guide Matt made him feel confident and our group was able to tackle almost any obstacle. We did the Dead Horse trail and loved every minute of it. It was an intermediate trail with some advanced features. All in all we loved every minute of our day on the trails. Would book with Rim again.

We had a great tour - Falcon Flow was a great combination of some technical but not too hard, flowing runs, some slick rock and lots of single track. And Zander was a great guide. We will be coming back and trying other trails.

Our guides were right on time for our group ride at Dead Horse Point State Park

I can't say enough great things about Rim Tours. We contracted with them to do a half day group mountain bike ride at Dead Horse Point State Park the morning of our wedding. We had 17 people in the group, and while a few of us were experienced riders, many of our number had either never been on a mountain bike before or else it had been a few years. Brooks and Julie did a fantastic job start to finish. They showed up on time, got all the bikes and gear unloaded and assigned, and gathered the group together for a safety meeting. Then we got some basic education on how the bikes worked and tips for riding. They had everyone take a spin around the parking lot to get familiarized with the bikes, and then we were off on the trails. Once we got to the first overlook they took a group photo of all of us together (one of my most cherished photos from my wedding day!) and we split up into two groups - one group of beginner level riders and a second group of more intermediate level riders. My husband and I each went with a different group but we had the same overall experience. Both guides did a great job of pacing the group along the trail, giving appropriate instructions at the beginning of each section of obstacles, and imbuing all the riders (no matter how inexperienced) with such a feeling of stoke and confidence that every single person pushed their limits and tried things they never envisioned themselves doing on a mountain bike. I'm still getting feedback from our guests on what an amazing time they had. Thank you, Rim Tours (and especially Brooks and Julie) for helping to make our wedding weekend such an amazing success. The group mountain bike ride was one of my favorite memories from that weekend!

Awesome ride it's been several years since we have done any mountain biking (20 to be exact) but Marlene our guide was super patient and helpful in getting us back up to speed ... It was a slow day and we ended up with basically a private ride us and the guide The bikes we used where brand new with great shocks and tires .. I had no idea how nice and comfortable mountain bikes had become --I think I'm finally going to get rid of my 20 year old trek I've been hanging on to We started on a novice trail but she took us to some other challenging areas and she knew lots of great places to stop for pictures Thanks to Marlene we really enjoyed our ride ... I would definitely request her next time we are there and it was definitely worth the time and cost Thanks Rim Tours and Marlene for a memorable day!!

We now consider Maggie our friend. If you're looking for guided bike ride in Moab, hire Maggie now!! She was incredibly helpful during the planning stages of our trip, she's a certified bike instructor, she's incredibly knowledgeable and kind, and she is an amazing person! When we come back to ride Moab again, we'll definitely hire Maggie as our "Guide" again! She helped us ride more challenging terrain in a very safe manner! We're more confident mountain bike riders, and we're keeping our 'eyes forward'!!

They picked up in St. George, provided a large dry bag, small dry bag & shuttled our bikes and us to the north rim camp site. We set up camp, they fed us, we rode the rainbow rim over 3 days. Limestone slashed my tire and the guide helped repair it enough for us to get back to the camp site. They had a used extra tire for my 29 wheel, so I really lucked out. Great Meals, on the healthy side so I lost weight, others gained weight since they said they normally don't eat 3 meals a day. Worry free guided, fully supported bike camping. There were guides for the faster ladies and guides for us slower ladies. We all got along and took as many or as little photos as we liked. Perfect touring adventure company. Will for sure utilized them again for a fully supported bike camping adventure. Bring personal snacks if you like-- I brought gummy bears and Swedish fish. Also some cans of wine and juices. They have a cooler. They have a sense of humor. And they worked really hard to make sure we were safe and showed us the view points. Love Magpie cycling!

Follow sort of close to the white dashed lines showing the best line to ride the trail. Along the way, I hooked with Cameron from Denver. He was cranking big thighs on a Salsa Spearfish like me. What's the chance? Salsa Spearfishes, mine green and Cam's black, slamming Slickrock having a slick-time! And OMG! Sights--an endless view of rolling red rock and the Colorado river too. We did one loop. It's a grinding workout (do it clockwise) on ups and a tense drop down--all a blast and why we love it! If you have seen pictures or been to Canyonlands and Arches National Park near Moab, then, the Slickrock trail is more of that, only you can go Gonzo with your mountain bike. Spectacular terrain, check this ride off your bucket list!

On several levels: MANAGEMENT: The folks are easy to speak to, one-on-one and very responsive. They'll take care of any unique needs you might have. They just want to get it right. This is a very service-oriented team. GUIDES: every single one of the guides we've had has had some sort of "get 'er done" training. My goodness -- they wake up so early and hep with EVERYTHING: tents, food and cooking, bike repair, ideas for fun in town, and of course how to best ride! -- anything and everything. DA FOOD : OMG THE FOOD IS SO GOOD. This is gourmet eating, breakfast, lunch and dinner. And coffee and cold cereal available before the main hot breakfast, and appetizers before dinner! What the heck??? Oh, and there are endless snacks available. Don't bring any snacks! I thought with all the exercise I was going to get, I would lose weight! These guys won't let that happen with all the great food they throw at you... :) SPECIALITY REQUESTS: My family is vegan, and the guides go above and beyond to make sure that not only was there plenty of vegan options available, but to make sure that no one else ate the vegan food before my family finished it. They also were very good about not cross-contaminating -- a HUGE plus. SO, if you have ANY dietary or allergy restrictions, you feel totally safe. GREAT FOR FAMILY BONDING: They understand that some kids and adults are slower than others. They meet everyone at their level -- whatever that might be. My youngest one was a bit slower than the other kids on the trail, but he was the youngest in the group and never felt out of place and left behind. The guides were awesome with him. TRAILS, BIKING SKILLS, EXERCISE AND FUN: Your riding will improve massively on these trails, which are epic and beautiful. The guides choose the very best trails, and they are AWESOME. There are never ending other fun things to do (depending on the trip): hikes and tubing, or just goofing around in camp with kids' stuff and games and stories. You will be amazed how much exercise you will get and not even know it! The fun factor here is also great. really great. They are prepared for everything: sunscreen, snacks. took kits and repair stuff, lights -- everything. Will I do yet another Western Spirit trip next year? Yes, for sure. The challenge is which one? Thank you, Tim and Ben. What a great trip you made for us.
