Okay so I never write reviews this quickly but my goodness, the service is outstanding. I needed my telescopic handle fixed and I happened to be in Waikiki so I decided to walk in with no appointment. Immediately I am greeted by Kumiko and her wonderful team and they are the most pleasant people I've ever met. She took a look at the handle and asked me if I was traveling soon to which I wasn't thankfully so I fully expected a 2-4 week turnaround. I'm not kidding when she called me an hour later saying it was replaced!!! She even showed me some of the trunks I've been eyeing... and nestled my cabin in them to see if it fit or not. The level of kindness and service they showed me even knowing I wasn't purchasing anything today. Can't wait to come back to this store and buy a trunk from them! Thank you Kumiko and team! read more

RIMOWA - New handle!!!! - Luggage Near Me - Honolulu, Hawaii

Kumiko is very knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. We bought a luggage from her a year ago, and happy that she was there today for our next purchase. We asked a lot of questions and she had the answers without needing to look it up. I really like this location specifically because of her read more

Went to the Rimowa store at the Royal Hawaiian Center to get the handle of one of my suitcases repaired. I thought it was under a lifetime warranty but I was mistaken. I thought maybe because I bought the piece in Hong Kong, it wasn't covered but that was not the case. It was only covered for a certain number of years of which I don't remember nor does it matter now. $140 for a new handle and $60 for a bottle of cleaner set me back $200 but since the suitcase was $1000 it was justified, right? I love my Rimowa Salsa suitcases and have had them over 10 years, taking them to Asia and Europe. Now that my handle has been fixed (because it didn't stay up), I feel I can get another 10 years out of it. Be forewarned if your luggage is older and a retired model, you might end up paying out of pocket for any repairs. The service was good but if someone starts helping you, you have to stay with that person even if the person isn't there the next day until an hour later. That was slightly inconvenient. The fix was fine but that's expected for $140. Fancy brands come with their fancy upkeeps! read more

A HUGE shoutout to Crystal and her coworker for the excellent service! They were very welcoming and kind. I also appreciate their patience as I had to deal with my horrible bank locking my debit card. It took 25+ minutes on the phone and even then it didn't work. Ended up using my girlfriends card for the time being. I appreciate their amazing patience and being so courteous. I will definitely be back one day for sure. I typically shop at Ala Moana, but this location was the one that had the item I wanted (Emerald Green Trunk Plus) and I am glad I ended up here. It is worth the stop over the Ala Moana location just to be able to work with Crystal and her coworkers. Now I am ready to go on my trips abroad! Best shopping experience! read more

We are from California, but we made our first purchase (10/2024) from this location because of the excellent customer service. In 2025, before we even planned to visit Hawaii, we decided to buy our second luggage here. We returned two weeks ago, and fortunately Crystal was working. We were greeted as if we were regulars, and the amount of time she spends with her clients is remarkable. Even though the boutique might get crowded at times, you will never feel rushed, and they will always do their best to accommodate their clients. After we decided to buy our second luggage, Crystal went out of her way, despite the fact that the store had already closed. She was still able to answer all of our questions and we experienced outstanding support as usual. The luggage here might be expensive compared to other brands, but the value and craftsmanship are superb. We plan to return in the future and will continue to support this location regardless of where we are. read more

We are in Waikiki for a week vacation and although we have plans on buying an inexpensive luggage, we opted to purchase a high-quality one that we can use for future travels. Crystal and her team are very patient with us and gave us time to decide on the one that will fit our needs. They weren't pushy but instead were very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining to us the different materials and features of each luggage we were interested in. We didn't purchase on our first visit but we were assisted by Crystal to setup our account. She also sent us a personalize followup message two days after without mentioning if we were still interested in purchasing. We truly appreciate it, since most boutiques do not treat their customers this way. We came back on the day of our departure and although Crystal is busy with another client, she made sure that another staff is able to assist us and the experience remains consistent and we were very satisfied including my 10year old son. We ended up purchasing the one that we were eyeing on and is very satisfied with the purchase. It is all worth it and the service is a plus. Although we are close to multiple Rimowa boutiques in our hometown, we are already considering in purchasing another one when we return to Hawaii next year. Again, thank you so much Crystal and the rest of Rimowa team and we will definitely see you again. read more

Cute store, friendly staff and great service! I purchased my luggage here a few years ago and I had to do a repair. Luckily there was someone there and did the repair in a few minutes. read more

My SO had been looking online at Rimowa luggage for months. We spent the day walking around The Royal Hawaiian Center and saw the store and decided it couldn't hurt to check it out. Faye was so nice and sincere from the moment we walked in. She didn't hesitate to show us every suitcase we asked about. She provided some great information and was so helpful. We actually took all the information she provided and thought about it overnight before going back to finally purchase a luggage. We really appreciated the great service. read more

I'll be the first to commend a shop when they help to right a wrong. After talking with the area manager, amends were made over my shopping experience and I look forward to giving Rimowa my business again in the near future. read more

I purchased a $500 gift certificate from the Waikiki Rimowa store in 2019. Yesterday, when I tried to redeem it, the store manager informed me that they purged all records and could not verify the gift certificate, even though I had the original certificate and original credit card receipt in hand. The store ultimately refused to honor the certificate, charged my credit card for the full price of the bag, and stated they might offer me a credit if in the future they were able to validate the certificate. The burden of the store's decision to purge records should not fall upon the customer. This is ridiculous customer service and makes me not want to purchase another Rimowa product again. If the store ultimately does not honor this certificate I will pursue all legal remedies against the company, including filing suit if necessary. read more

I had a really strange experience here. I walked in with my husband and no one greeted us. There were several people talking and laughing. That was perfectly fine since I don't particularly like being bombarded by salespeople when I walk in. As I saw a nice looking carry on in a particular color, I said oh I like this color , do you work here and the man said no I don't work here and didn't smile or anything. It was so akward. I said oh Im sorry. It turned out he did did work there and it just seemed he didn't want to help me. It was the most akward situation ever. I think he thought I was not really going to purchase something or who knows but my husband felt the tension and just said ok well he knows you are window shopping, lets go and he was happy I left. Strange! Anyhow, I detest when people say racial discrimination stuff however I felt maybe he did not care for me because of my race. Maybe I am wrong. But he was definitely strange toward me. Do better!!!!!!!! read more

The shop assistant was so rude and her way of saying was so mean to a customer. she doesn't know customer hospitality and services. She looks like 50-60s Japanese lady. I never had such bad customer service experience. She doesn't worth to work in Rimowa. 日本人の50-60代に見える日本人らいき女性の販売員がいますが、接客対応があまりにひどくてびっくりしました。 リモワに行くなら、アラモアナ店をオススメします。 read more

The RIMOWA Waikiki store has been our go to when it comes to purchasing and having our luggage serviced. They've been helpful throughout our experience giving us great customer service. We first had taken in our Topas 32" to get it fixed from an airline mishandling luggage as the bottom wheel base got unhinged. They were very accommodating and on time. We also ended up buying two of their latest polycarbonate suitcases that week. Just about a week ago ended up buying their latest line, second generation cabin Classic with the help of Summer. She was so helpful and patient and answered our questions. She provided excellent customer service that made our decision easy. read more

Six month of traveling overseas on three continents will stress any pieces of luggage. Rimowa is big a superb product as well as SERVICE. Yes, service. When purchasing their line of their breakthrough "electronic ID Limbo" collection I had high expectations of the product but Modesto the servicing of their product line. While at the Ala Moana, Chantal and her team Fantastic service with a well informed, patient and no pressure sales team. I simply can't say enough about Morgan and the team at Rimowa. The product line is fantastic which is well known for superb form and function. This flagship San Francisco location is well situated in Union Square. Outstanding service in every respect. read more

Rimowa delivers excellent service - again! We have been traveling for about 6 months around the world with our Rimowa luggage and they have survived being moved through several airports, cruises, cars and rolling on all sorts of terrain without any issues. Just recently, one of my carry on wheels started rolling a little sideways while pushing it on all 4 wheels. We took it to the Westin Moana Surfrider store (right in the hotel) and they took my luggage and fixed the wheels immediately, without question or hesitation. Chantal Migita was the area manager who made us feel very welcome and feel like a part of the Rimowa family. She even put in a nice thank you note along with some Hawaiian Moana cookies (and two extra wheels!) as a pleasant surprise inside of my luggage after picking it up. These may be expensive, but it is definitely worth it. Thank you Rimowa. read more

I can't believe no one actually wrote a review for Rimowa yet. Must be all the tourists from countries without yelp yet (is that a thing still?)! Seriously, Rimowa is simply awesome, on both the aesthetic and functionality fronts. I can't believe I still see people carting luggage behind them rather than the much easier way of wheeling them sideways, parallel to you. And if something breaks, Rimowa will take care of it, so long as there is a store where you are. FYI they validate at one of the hotels nearby (sorry, forget which one, do call) but the hotel only has elevators only on certain floors (wtf) so be prepared to haul the luggage up stairs to your car if you park there. Here's hoping you bought Salsa Air! read more

They didn't have a lot to choose from. Especially on a the higher end models. You should know that Rimowa is like the super high end of luggage so if you don't like the prices that's just the way it is. They didn't have anything special to Hawaii which I was hoping for but if you need service on your Rimowa this is the spot to get it fixed. read more

I was set on getting a Salsa Deluxe carry-on from a nearby authorized retailer; but they seemed uninterested in giving me service and actually encouraged me to see what I was looking for at this location! So off I went to Moana Surfrider, where Rimowa is a tenant. I was greeted by a sweet associate named Ai. Ai was nothing but wonderful. She answered numerous questions I had about the brand and I was really impressed with her product knowledge. She was accommodating and didn't show any signs of intimidation - which I always feel whenever I visit premium boutiques. She clearly understood my needs and recommended the products that she thought suited me. I was debating on a Salsa Air because of how light it is, but when she showed me their smallest Salsa Deluxe in a beautiful navy colour, I was sold! Love at first sight! It was more than what I wanted to spend for a carry-on, but this is a Rimowa after all is an investment, and I'm so excited to create memories with it as travel. I am very ecstatic with my recent purchase. And I'm glad I bought my first Rimowa here after many years of patronizing Tumi. I however wish they had more limited edition pieces. Overall, this is a wonderful store. read more
