The next day Mark scheduled me for moblie repair at my home, in San Ramon, and he arrived on time. Once he arrived he assessed the damage, confirmed it was repairable, and said he'd be done in 30 minutes. 30 minutes later Mark was finished with the job and it looked like there was never a dent to begin with. Jeff is always a pleasure to deal with in person or over the phone. It is usually pretty easy to get in for service, even on short notice. I have never had any issues with my bike after service is completed. It is a bit pricey, but I think that is pretty much anywhere you go these days. However, you get what you pay for here. The sales floor doesn't have the biggest selection of street bikes. They typically have a few BMW GS & RT models on the floor, but you will most likely need to order the bike you want. They do have a large selection of KTM dirt bikes on the sales floor if you're looking to get dirty. They also offer a fairly large selection of riding gear for both street and dirt. When having service performed, there is a waiting room on the sales floor. In there, you will find seating, magazines and coffee by Keurig. They have also some cool historical photos of different riders over the year. If you're looking for a quality BMW service provider, CalMoto is great.

They were able to identify the screw in my tire when another place, which I will leave unnamed, couldn't. They were also able to deal with my tire lock without the key (my family has two of the same type of cars and the key was with the other car). They worked around the lock at one visit, and broke it off (with my permission) on another in order to get me back in the road in a timely fashion. The time when they worked around the lock was in 2024, and I paid about $45. The time when they had to break the lock was a year later and I paid about $75. I especially appreciate their professionalism and ability to not talk down to female customers, which sadly a lot of auto shops still do, even in 2025. Definitely recommend!

I came across this place online and noticed that they had amazing reviews. I called in the morning to see if they had afternoon availability when I got off work to install one tire for me. They had availability same day and it only cost me $30! I brought the car in around 3:30, waited in the waiting area, and the car was ready around 4pm. The mechanic even walked with me to my car to make sure the light was now off, that my damaged tire I requested back was in my trunk to return to Costco for a credit since it was under warranty, and that I had my wheel lock key back in my possession. 10/10 service, will definitely come back if I have any other tire issues!

I've been a customer of this shop before, which is why this experience was so disappointing…read more The communication issues actually started before my appointment. I ordered my tires a full day in advance and was told I would receive a call the following day when everything was ready. That call never came. I had to call the shop myself, and I was then told they would contact me the next morning. Once again, no one called, and I had to follow up myself. On the day of my appointment, I dropped my car off at 10:00 AM and was told it would be ready by 4:00 PM. I never received a call. At 5:30 PM, I called the shop and was told they didn't know which tires to replace and that they had left me a voicemail. I couldn't find a missed call or voicemail on my phone. Had they actually reached me, the work could have moved forward much sooner. I was then told my car was already on the rack and would be completed first thing the following morning. Once again, I waited for a call that never came. I eventually called the shop myself and was told they had just finished. When I asked why it wasn't completed first thing as promised, I was told they were busy. When I asked why no one had called to update me, I never received a satisfactory explanation. The manager maintained that a voicemail had been left, and we even reviewed my phone together while I was there, but I still couldn't find a missed call or voicemail. Rather than acknowledging the repeated communication failures, the conversation focused on defending that claim. The shop also declined to perform the lifetime alignment I had previously purchased because of the condition of my rear tires. If that's their policy, I respect their right to make that decision. However, that should have been communicated proactively instead of after my vehicle had already been kept overnight. I understand that delays happen and schedules change. What I cannot overlook is the repeated lack of communication. At every stage of this experience, I was the one who had to call for updates. As a returning customer, I expected better communication, more realistic timelines, and greater accountability. The manager stated that a labor discount had been applied. While I appreciated the gesture, it did not feel like it adequately addressed the repeated communication failures, missed completion times, and the inconvenience of having my vehicle overnight. I'm not leaving this review because of a delay--I'm leaving it because of the repeated lack of communication. A simple phone call at each stage would have prevented almost all of the frustration. I hope this feedback helps the business improve its communication with future customers.
