I just got out of a bad experience with a dishonest auto repair shop in Winchester…read more I had used A1 in the past & was happy with their service then, so I decided to go back to them to check the condition of my brakes on my 2016 VW GTI. After A1 checked the brakes out, I got a call back from Randy saying that everything looked good & no repairs were necessary! What a pleasant change from my last experience. I would highly recommend A1 Auto Service Center! I'll be using them from now on with any auto repairs I need to have done!

Now, I will tell you, we have patronized their establishment since we purchased the vehicle for regular maintenance, and they have always been wonderful. However, it was not until we were in real distress that the true value of this establishment shone through! Ben Shabib has been working with us from the beginning, and he is truly a Godsend. In addition to knowing my wife and I BY NAME and greeting us with professionalism and respect EVERY TIME, he PERSONALLY took an interest in the status of our repair job. Regardless of what vehicle you drive, A1 is truly one of the best service centers I have ever known. If you have car troubles, and are within three states of these guys, it is WORTH THE TOW to get your vehicle to them. I could go on, but I am worried about running out of space in this review. Thank you, A1 Auto Service Center, and WELL DONE!

And, after calling numerous other locations with no luck and rude staff, I called Midas. Amber answered the phone, with nothing more than hospitality in her voice. I asked her about the empty oil drums, and she asked me to hold. I waited less than 20 seconds before she returned with a response. I was told they did have a couple, and was offered them free of charge. Unlike a few other places that want anywhere from $10-30 per drum. When I arrived to pick up the drums, I was greeted immediately. That was a wonderful first impression. I was asked to back up to a bay and the drums were brought out. The gentleman loaded the drums in the back of the truck for me, and wished me a good day. Now, that may not sound like much to some, but as someone who still remembers how customer service standards used to be, I appreciated the hell out of this location. They have a firm grasp on what it takes to stay in business: The customer. I will not even bother with another location for my vehicle needs. This very small interaction with the team members here told me everything I need to know about their business practices. It's absolutely absurd to me that more places don't adopt the Midas way of doing business.

Honest technicians and manager!…read more I am a car enthusiast and have been around the block and know a service center or two. I brought my vehicle here for a third opinion because the two I received earlier at other places were polar opposites. I dont know the name of the manager at this place but he is simply awesome - knowledgeable and honest. What more can you ask for!! They fixed my issue and charged me only part of the amount because it was not fixed completely right the first time. Just sitting in the waiting area and watching the manager deal with the customers and giving them honest feedback and guidance is a testament to why this place is always so busy! Keep up the awesomeness..you have a loyal customer.

Every single one of them was professional, accommodating, and extremely nice from start to finish. I walked in with only a general idea of what I wanted, and they patiently guided me through the many audio options out there without ever making me feel rushed or overwhelmed. One gentleman in particular especially helped me narrow everything down. He asked the right questions about how I use my truck and what kind of sound I was after, then helped me land on the perfect setup: a new amp, a sealed subwoofer, and upgraded door speakers. He clearly knew his stuff and explained everything in plain language so I felt confident in my choices instead of just guessing. If you're planning to wait while your install is done, don't worry -- they have two leather sofas and a TV in the back that are super comfortable. Honestly, I ended up taking a nap while my truck was worked on. The workmanship was fantastic, and the sound difference from stock is night and day. I can't say enough about how happy I am with my new system. If you're looking to upgrade your car audio in the Winchester area, this is the team to see.

And I came prepared to be the difficult customer. Then Glenn came out , who looked me in the eye, and came straight out and wanted to know what I was looking for. I explained I was looking for an 05 Tahoe I found on Cars.com. Which at the time I showed up, he was dealing with auto wholesalers and other business issues. Cliff didn't give me a line of being busy or passing me to an associate....Happily he went and got the keys and started it for me. ( I got to watch the exhaust for smoke and listen for problems) sounded good, "let's go for a ride" was the next thing said. And down the road we went, pretty decent 10mile run, which we discussed what I was trying to do and how I was planning to pay. All good- seemed to be the order of the day with Glenn. Returning back to the lot, he explained there was a Gig list from the mechanics and would be back, leaving me alone for 20-30 mins while I could check out underneath, inside and the engine bay. Satisfied Glenn meets me and shows me the list, and shows me a price which allowed me to make a good and quick decision on the purchase. We filled out paperwork and put a plate on in the Tahoe, total time about 3 hours, most of the waiting was the document people at the "real" dealership. Bottom line The Clearance center is not going to have a 1 owner 20 mile cherry ride, it's cars that need a little love but still have a lot of life. Glenn set me at ease, gave me trust and earned mine, didn't push the hard sale, and made me feel like and in the end everyone was happy.

Interstate does excellent work and they back it up with a guarantee. They are my first choice when it comes to transmission work. They can save you big over dealer shops. I told the woman that answered the phone that I was told to call about scheduling an appointment for that estimate but I live in Hagerstown and didn't really want to drive two hours round trip just for an estimate; I inquired if I could possibly send pictures and such, and she said quickly and firmly that they didn't work with any type of pictures. There was no double checking or anything like it was HER place of business and she was the owner. Ok. That's cool if that's your prerogative. So I responded to the person I was communicating with via yelp and let him know that drive wasn't on the bingo card. He told me to send pictures and such. However, front desk Karen had already left a nasty taste in my mouth and the whip lash I received from the two different communications should get me an insurance check. I gave them the second star because the internet person made an attempt at customer service.
