We were traveling from PA to the Hampton area at the end of July for my wife and her twin sisters birthday when my Eos started losing power and dash lights came on. I managed to limp it into Winchester and was referred to Tony's by an auto parts store. What a stroke of luck! These guys could not have been nicer! Although it was almost closing time, they installed the fuel filter I had purchased to see if that was the problem. When it wasn't, Dustin gave my wife and I a ride to a hotel, where we were rescued the next day by family who were also traveling down. The car was fixed for us upon our return, and at a reasonable price (I checked with my regular mechanic at home). It's scary to be stranded by breakdowns away from home, but we were treated like regular customers. I cannot recommend these guys enough! read more

After calling around town to find a shop that specializes in Volkswagen repair, I was referred to Tony's. My Jetta was experiencing electrical issues beyond my level of experience (and anything on YouTube); however, Tony and his crew were able to quickly identify the issue and have my car back to me the same day! Tony did say that there's usually a week wait but was able to squeeze me in today - lucky me! The electrical issue turned out to be a 50 amp fuse; however, this fuse was not listed in the owners manual nor located in the common fuse boxes. It was instead locked in a secret fuse box hidden under the steering column to which I never would have been able to access. Thank you Tony for the awesome customer service! read more

I was very lucky to find Tony's shop when my Volvo broke down on the way home to New Jersey after camping trip in Shenandoah National Park. I couldn't be more grateful for the service I received from his shop. I called from the side of the road, they eased my mind, agreed to look at the car same day. They were even waiting for me as soon as my car got towed in. They made a bad day, easier. I've now taken my Volvo to Tony and the service adviser, Patty, for nearly two years. Tony and his mechanics are experts at imports, especially European cars. But the world is thick with "experts." What I don't find much of in this world are HONEST mechanics. Tony is dead honest. He always shows me the broken parts, tells me exactly what he did and how he did it, and his labor rates are FAR below those of the dealers in town. He either finishes early or on-time, or he calls me in advance to explain why it's not done yet. I always know what's going on when Tony's doing the job. But his excellent work isn't limited to Euro cars. My wife had taken her Subaru to the local Subaru dealer for the 90,000 mile service, which was expensive, especially since the dealer needed to replace valve cover gaskets! Within two months, the car wasn't running right, finally stalling a lot. I had Tony take a look, and he showed me how one of the seals in the gasket set had fallen off. My wife called the dealer from Tony's, and the dealer not only lied by denying that there was any possibility that they had made a mistake, but they put down Tony and his crew, who had much more experience than the young, arrogant service adviser at the Subaru dealership. I paid Tony to fix the mistake made by the dealer and the Subaru runs great. And I will never darken the doorstep of the Subaru dealer again, if I can help it. Give Tony a try and tell him Paul the Volvo guy sent you. He'll take good care of you. I'm lucky to have found him. BTW, Tony was a Volvo dealer mechanic for years, before he went out on his own. That guy has memorized Volvos. read more

This is by the far the best mechanic shop that I've ever brought my vehicle too. For background info I've had many run ins with all types of mechanics, some good, some bad, a couple greats, but Tony takes the cake. They guarantee all work done to your vehicle so if it's in Tony's hands, you can be sure that it's getting done correctly the first time. They're honest and they care about the people that come there, disclosing everything, and do business the right way. Old school honest values and a fair mentality which are far and few these days. The kind of shop where you just say whatever it is fix it because you know that you can't get it done for a better deal or find more of an expert in VA. Seriously, if you have a foreign car and live in a 50 mile radius, are looking for an honest mechanic, and want someone who can rebuild the engine of a bmw with his toes while playing the fiddle and teaching a math class, all while standing on his head taking a nap. This is the place. Only negative is he gets busy because once you go to him you always go to him. I don't even want to post this for that reason but you honor good service and a fair deal. read more

My grand daughter go to Shenandoah University. She was having trouble with her Mini Cooper and by me living in Southern Va. near the NC line it was almost impossible to determine the problem with the car and help her get it fixed. I was lucky to have a friend who lived in Winchester, Va. and she recommended Tony's Import Repair. I called Tony and told him the delima I was in. He took the problem ran with it. and had my grand daughter vehicle picked up and taken to his shop. He analyzed the problem, kept in contact with me and my grand daughter and got the car back to her so she can have confidence the car is in good working order. I figured it was going to be a big bill on the car. I was amazed at the charges the gave to my grand daughter. They were minimal to say the least. I don't know how he made a penny on the job. Brought my VW in with a blown A/C. I fully expected to pay a ton of money for repairs, Tony's called, said this model of VW's were having difficulty with the A/C compressors and that I should take it to the dealer and hopefully VW would cover the repair. It wasn't under warranty or on a recall. Tony's could have taken advantage of the situation and repaired/charged me a bundle, but they didn't. They were honest about the problem.
