Referred to them by my best friend for help with an indoor trainer, connected with Kevin. He was great, recommended a Saris Fluid 2 trainer that fit my budget and needs perfectly. Ordered and received in a couple of days, communication was excellent. Decided I needed the front tire block, the same deal had for me within a week. Next up is getting my bike tuned up, if you are in North San Diego County this is the shop to call! I live in Oceanside near Bonsall, these guys are totally worth the drive. I couldn't get a local shop to pay attention to me if lit my hair was on fire!

I was recently in Encinitas for a few days. I didn't feel like bringing my bike with me, and a friend in the industry recommended RIDE Cyclery as a good place to rent a road bike. They set me up with a carbon fiber Cannondale with Shimano 105 -- it was my first time in awhile riding a carbon bike. The staff was kind enough to set me up with necessities like a tube and Co2 inflator. They also took extra time to dial in the fit (best to do that with a torque wrench handy, especially with carbon frames and seatposts). They really went the extra mile because I thought I'd brought my own pedals. As it turned out, I took them off my bike back home, but forgot to pack them! The RIDE guys just happened to have a sweet of the same kind I use. They really bailed me out! They also recommended some routes, as did a few customers hanging out. Rental was $80 for 24 hours. A very good rental/shop experience. I'll rent from them next time I'm around.

They tried to upsell me for new chain and cassette, even though I just replaced both 2 months earlier. Then, a week later, I get a text saying they can't work on my bike because it has a crack in the frame. Only options were to fix or replace. When I asked about repair cost I was quickly dismissed and referred to some guy in Poway. Just first name, no contact information. When I went to get my bike, parts were removed and they hand me a bag with cassette, crankset and other parts in it. When I asked why they took it apart and didn't put back together I was told that this was a "Gray area". What??? I spent over $15k on 2 new bikes at this shop, and get this type of treatment. At least Tyler gave me the repair guy's phone number. Not sure why they couldn't have given this to me before, instead of leaving me to fend for myself. I will never return to this store again. Beware of the upsell!!!!

First, Dan is super-friendly, safety conscious and very affordable. I had shopped around and a friend recommended i check them out and after checking out the stock in the shop (by Bobby Riggs and SDA) I decided to support a local business. I had read a lot of reviews of people buying big box ebikes or online stuff and having nightmares Trying to fix stuff. Lo and behold, My son had an accident (he is fine, thankfully!) and Steve repaired it gratis today! (I couldnt believe they were open, let alone able to fix it on a Sunday!) It actually took longer to drive there than the fix. They were out of the part (steering wheel stem) and he pulled it off of another bike they had in stock! Never met Dan or Steve before this, but so impressed with speed and attention to detail. Btw, the stem did not break in the accident, but I stripped the part where you screw it in afterwards. Totally my fault. I am guessing if I had bought a big box brand, there would have been a cost and significant wait for this type of part/repair. Others can probably inform better there. My son asked me to make this post, he loves his bike, its got leather seats, super -comfy and he said its seems better made than a lot of the ones he sees at his school CCA. So if you are looking for an ebike, highly recommend these guys! Support local! And please say hi!

But, if you want to see what consistently unbelievably poor customer service is, Brandon is your man, he has been there for many years and my attempts to avoid him never work as he always ends up being my customer service rep. He consistently miscommunicates at every encounter, says one thing and never does it and does not read the information you send him, maybe he does but he ignores it. It is unbelievable how consistently he messes up everything, very very annoying.

The biggest LET DOWN EVER. I ordered my streetstrider 3i November 8, 2018. The following…read morehappened... 1. They send this heavy, heavy package(s) via FED EX.. Apparently, in very small print, it states that you must be there to sign for it upon arrival. I found myself stuck at my home & rearranging my day for this. My 3i arrived at 9:15 pm, the last delivery. The box was shredded and looked like it came from half way around the world. Here's a lesson... If you order this contraption, I guess you'll have to open these packages and inspect it's contents before signing for it. I'm sure your local Fed EX driver will completely understand (enter sarcasm). 2. The following day, I proceeded to go through each box to make sure all parts are present for assembly. Then I proceeded to watch all the videos and started building. Be prepared for this process to eat a big slice of your day. Half way through, I successfully attached the right arm. Then I attempt the left... It was larger than the hole it was to go into. At this point, frustration is on it's way... I then contact technical support. Their associate, Donovan becomes my contact. This will become a long and difficult customer service nightmare. In speaking with Donovan, I also realize how flat the tires are. He says it's a safety issue upon freight. Ok, I get that. However, it doesn't state anywhere that a tire pump is necessary for assembly as well a some lubricant. I'd think the consumer should be aware of these things. So, I go buy the tire pump and bike lubricant. Contact my neighbor to help me try to insert the left arm again.. And NO DICE!! It was clearly the wrong size. Why would I make this up???? Incredibly frustrated and then with no response back from Donovan, I know I have made a mistake in ordering this Streetstrider 3i. There videos for assembly and also for preparing it's return. I then go buy bubble wrap & ziplock bags to return this contraption. I spent the majority of my evening following this video. I also had to return this thing in it's original, shredded box. Pretty much used a whole role of clear packing tape. The following morning I contacted Donovan again. He seems to want to work with me and says he will send out another left arm of proper size. He reassured me that they would make it right. Still thinking I wanted this Streetstrider, I agreed. At this point, it's right before Thanksgiving. Side Note: Don't forget you have 30 days to return if you are not 100% satisfied. Well, in a nutshell, he FORGOT. I only have a few lines to write. I'm stuck paying $182.30 along with paying for extra parts and shipping this monstrosity back. My time, like yours, is valuable. Don't waste your time. If this review saves one person, 1 penny it's worth it. Horrendous customer service.. You've been warned. They could've done me right, but they didn't. You guys should be ashamed.
