Small Cheese Pizza 12 Round With pepperoni and extra sauce

I ordered a pizza tonight from door dash. I was skeptical because the yelp reviews were 3.7. But I still gave it a try. I ordered a small cheese pizza with extra sauce and added pepperoni. Pizza was excellent! Sauce flavor was great, pepperoni was thick cut and lots of it, the bread was perfectly fluffy and most of all I loved the pizza to crust ratio. I hate when there is too much crust. Underrated pizza!

Slice, 5 medium wings, 5 medium lemon pepper wings.

5 stars again. Ricotta's wings when they are on their game are my favorite in the city. Pizza is underrated as well. Great no frills food.

6 topping loaded pizza. Veggie my fav.

I always forget about this place despite being a few blocks away. I had a rotten day and wanted some pizza. I was looking at the usual downtown suspects and gave up because it's SO expensive. Then I remembered Ricotta's. You can't beat their prices!!! I think delivery was $3 and the lady who delivered it was very nice. I got the loaded pizza which is ANY 6 toppings for $17!! Veggie pizza is my fav so I loaded it up. So many toppings it's heavy and so delicious. The sauce is the perfect amount of sweet and herbs. I also got a single order of wings which they will do in 2 different sauce. Which is AWESOME in my book. Got mango habanero and teriyaki. They were the size of a pterodactyl wing! Love me some fried mushrooms too, bummer they didn't come with a dipping sauce. Mac salad, your standard but I was craving it. I will remember this place from now on.

So I was navigating Dave Portnoy of Barstool "One Bite" app which is an app cultivated around finding the best pizza around you and this place had an 8.7 in regards to their pizza. If you're familiar with Dave's pizza reviews, his typically land in the mid-to-high 7's so whoever reviewed the pizza at Ricotta's would receive a "rookie score" as David politely puts it. But I was enticed either way now. The place isn't much inside but it's a great place to grab a slice and go about your day. So I ordered two pep and cheese slices and they were fresh. They even had 5 wings which didn't look quite fresh but if you're feeling extra hungry, it's a pretty sweet deal. So I got my pizza, "one bite, everyone knows the rules," and wow, this is great pizza. The sauce was tangy and sweet and their was very little flop to it. The ingredients were superior to local pizza places in the area and now that I know its not too far from my apartment, I'll be back for more.

Lunch special is 2 large slices + a soda. Spicy pepperoni and a slightly tart sauce. Very decent pizza for the area.

Chicken finger pizza was 6/10. Wings were ok but I'd like to try fresh as we had to wait for awhile before we started to eat them.

We were in Buffalo to go to the AKG museum. We were inside for better than 3 hours and were hungry…read more Buffalo....Duff's wings. The GPS took us to the first location that opened (the waitress said the 1960s) a long time ago. The building is sitting at an angle from the road so go to the right and turn in to park or go past and turn right for the parking lot. Middle of the afternoon on a Thursday they weren't too busy. We were seated immediately and waited on quick. I wanted some clarity with the wing heat. Some places hot is mild or hot is burn your face off. She clarified the medium hot is hot so that's what I decided on for an order of 6. My sister isn't so much of a wing person so she decided on a grilled cheese. The waitress was pleasant and answered all the questions we had. The restaurant itself isn't too big but can seat a lot of people. Total wing vibe. Lots of different flavors and quantities went by...everything looked tasty and fresh. They had Yuengling on tap so that's what I ordered. She had a pepsi. Food arrived fast. The aroma was to die for (ok it burns the eyes a little...). Came with celery and blue cheese. The wings were amazing, some of the best I have ever eaten. Crunchy celery and cool dipping sauce. Bigger than most that I have ordered and very freshly prepared. After 6 I was filled up...but I ordered another brew just to wash it all down. If you're in Buffalo (or the area) it's definitely worth stopping to have a treat. Other Buffalo favorites are on the menu as well (Beef on Weck sandwich. We will definitely be back, more flavors to try and locations to enjoy.

All right, I hope everybody remembers when they read these reviews that it's all a matter of…read moreopinion I know everybody loves Duff's wings, and well, probably the actual restaurant and everything This was my first time going in there, and I did not care for The surroundings at all. Tables were too close, people are way too loud. I can't eat in loud surroundings. I don't like that, and it was so hot in there that it made me very uncomfortable. I believe all restaurants and bars, etc. should be air-conditioned and make people comfortable. If they're too cold, they can always put on a jacket but when you're too hot, I can't take much off. I ordered the roast beef on Weck and fries instead of potato chips. I was very satisfied it was delicious. Very expensive, I found everything was very expensive on the menu, but if you want good food, I guess that's what you gotta do is pay more. Jim ordered mild wings, they still looked good even though I'm a hot wing person. I was looking at everybody else's huge plates of wings that were coming out and they looked so amazing. I'm definitely gonna get some to take home some time. Anyway, the wings looked good smelled good, Jim said they were very good, my sandwich was good. The fries were good, the waitresses were nice so the service was pretty good. But again too small, too loud, too hot, and those things just don't make me happy. I probably would go in there again and eat if somebody else wanted to, but I'd rather take my food to go next time. One other issue I had is definitely the restroom. That had to be the smallest stall I have ever been in. Anytime I moved I banged into one of the walls. They have two stalls in there, which to me is definitely not enough when you're serving "spicy hot " food. At one point there was five people in the restroom. Luckily, I just had to wash my hands in that visit. But the restroom is way too small and when I talk to Jim about the ladies room, he said the men's room is super small too, so they're probably about the same size. So that was definitely a negative thing for me was the restroom.

It's been 15 years since I've been back here. Being a little older and wiser about food now, I do think I can kind of see how some of the locals think other places are better. I now think I have to try somewhere else in Buffalo to figure that out for myself. These wings are really good. I'd eat them happily any day of the week. I wish I could get them back home in Philly. Actually... not for nothing. Now I think I could get wings this good in Philly. I mean they sell the sauce back home. And the technique isn't really a secret anymore. But in the end I will always have respect for the OG.

Fun. The menu is pretty big for a bar, a mix of regular bar food and a bunch of other options. Our waitress was really friendly and told me the French onion soup is one of their popular items, so that got me excited. It came out fast and it was pretty good. The croutons were honestly my favorite part, super seasoned and actually had flavor. This was only my second time having French onion soup though and I'm still on the fence... it felt like it was missing something, or maybe I just don't get the hype yet lol My friend got the chicken broccoli alfredo and I got the cajun chicken linguine. The portions are HUGE, like you're definitely not leaving hungry. She said hers didn't have much flavor even after adding salt and pepper and was already planning how she was going to fix it at home. My chicken was a little burnt so it was dry and kind of messed with the flavor, but the pasta itself was good. I loved that they added a little bread to soak up the sauce. The huge portions made up for the bland flavors. Not even gonna lie, a few bites in my stomach said "absolutely not" which is no fault of theirs, 100% on me for going all in on dairy, so my friend ended up taking both meals home. Overall I'd recommend it if you like a bar vibe, big portions, and solid food. 8.3/10

For me, I like my wings crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, well cooked. The wings I had here were excellent. But all the flavor was in the sauce, whereas some people like dry rubs or smoked wings. The restaurant is old and and is not modern in any way. The lighting is a little on the dark side. The service was OK, not fantastic. Would go again, and they deserve 4 stars.

I visit the city every year in the fall, and I am still trying all of the wing places that have been recommended. The latest on my list was Doc Sullivan's, a very, VERY local watering hole. This is the kind of place that makes you immediately remember that you are absolutely not from here, but in the best possible way. Doc's is a historic, no-frills neighborhood pub smack in the heart of South Buffalo's Irish Heritage district. The second we walked in as clearly obvious outsiders, the entire room of rough-and-tumble regulars seemed to pause their conversations, turn towards the door, and stare at us. Even the bartender (who also doubled as the host and our waiter) clocked us immediately with a cheerful, "Hey visitors!" It was hilarious and broke the awkwardness we were starting to feel. Everyone was incredibly nice and welcoming once the moment passed, but it was clear we stood out from the regular crowd. If you have an aversion to dive bars, this is not the place for you because Doc's is not fancy. It's well-worn and smells like Fabuloso cleaner mixed with stale cigarette smoke and old beer. I was surprised at how clean the place was, but it does have that dive bar smell and feel. I felt like I'd walked onto a movie set because this place screams Buffalo, and does so loudly and proudly. I'm not a fan of chicken wings, but my hubby is. Food-wise, he ordered a half dozen of the famous Smitty Wings at the suggestion of the bartender, which come coated in the house's unique spiced butter sauce along with a half dozen with hot sauce. He liked the Smitty wings fine, but preferred the classic hot Buffalo wings, which he said had legit heat and were "more than decent." Not his all-time favorite wings, but still tasty and meaty enough to earn his respect. I went with the buffalo chicken sandwich, which was massive. It was a fried chicken breast patty on a super soft, fresh roll with lettuce, tomato, and onions, tossed in a mild Buffalo sauce that had just enough heat for a timid spice girl like me. The quality was good, but not great, and it was basically the same chicken sandwich you can get at dozens of places around town (it was very similar to the same menu item at the Anchor Bar, for example). The fries were nothing special, and they tasted like regular old french fries you'd get at your local deli. They were freshly fried, hot and crispy, and we both appreciated that malt vinegar was already on the table. We had a good experience at Doc Sullivan's, but agreed that we would not go out of our way to eat here again. I wouldn't call it a must-do for foodies, but I'm still really glad we went. While the food wasn't all that memorable, it felt like a true local Buffalo experience that you don't get at polished, tourist-friendly spots. This is the place if you want to soak up local character and are seeking another stop on your buffalo wing eating tour.

The smitty wings just tasted like mild buffalo sauce and the honey cajun was pretty good. My issue was with the "ranch" sauce because it tasted like straight horseradish and every bite left a bitter aftertaste. The poutine fries would've been good if they didn't make the gravy with the power of the pacific ocean with how salty it is. All time favorite is def it's the hot honey pizza rolls, so bomb!
