    Perfection.

This local tavern has been around for decades, and it holds a lot of great memories for me. I remember coming here as a young guy -- and now, 35 years later, I'm still walking through the same doors. It had been quite a while since I last ordered the wings or the roast beef, but both were absolutely outstanding. The wings were done just right, and the roast beef was every bit as good as I remembered. It's a great spot to stop in, whether you're a regular or just passing through. The staff is friendly, and the locals are welcoming and entertaining -- exactly what you hope for in a true neighborhood tavern. Some places just get it right year after year. This is one of them.

I heard about this place from the Buffalo Wing Coalition and I'm glad finally made it. A cool local dive with a tight menu and really reasonable prices. We sat ourselves and got lucky that we didn't have to wait when we came for dinner. I heard all about the wings and the beef on weck so we knew what we had to order. BOW was sold out so that means we will have to come back another time. We ordered wings, fries and a few drinks from the bar. The food came out quick and it was hot and delicious. We tried the medium and house made hot. Both had good flavor and weren't too spicy. Wings were as good as I'd heard and were perfectly crisp. I'll definitely be back soon.

Homemade Hot! I'll say it again! Homemade Hot! Baked with a nice char and a wing sauce that is sooooooo unique. Smoky, non-Franks wing with a nice kick. The maker of the sauce is also the bartender and the wait staff. A real corner neighborhood bar.

Best wings we've ever had with a great waitress. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to try authentic buffalo wings in the Buffalo area.

I'm not sure it gets better than this. This is the perfect bar. Neighborhood folk. Working folk coming in for their lunch break and folk like us coming in because we're in town and want some outstanding weck & wings with a cold beer. We came in for lunch. Like I said, we wanted a beef on weck, wings and a drink. I had been here before, so I already knew the food was excellent. I do love the divey aspect of this place. No menus, if you want food...look on the wall for one of the hand written menus attached to the wall. The lunch crowd is hopping, but a single bartender has it all under control. She's taking orders at tables, keep the individuals at the bar with a constant drink. She's a rockstar. The beef on weck comes with a mountain of roast beef. What's nice, each table has a jar of horseradish so you can apply as much as you like. We got medium wings, which were outstanding. The only problem, the ones at the bottom of the pile got a little rubbery. I hate rubbery wings, but the ones on top were perfectly crispy. The star though was the beef on weck. That's hard for me to stay, but dang that was awesome. Once again, a perfect location. No frills, but excellent food. I left so stuffed, but happy.

It's a dive bar that has a setting perfect for drinking beer and watching the game, or catching up with friends. We tried a few beers and wing flavors. The spicy wings were very good and not too spicy. The medium wings were great and what keeps the wings crispy is that they put most of the sauce on the plate itself so although the wings come with sauce on them, you can dip the wings if you want extra flavor. The garlic parm wings weren't my favorite, but still a solid choice if you're not into traditional buffalo wing sauce. And of course, one of the best parts of getting wings in Buffalo, is that it came with celery and blue cheese. Their fries were super crispy as well, and tasted wonderful when dipped in the wing sauce. If you're into beef on weck, you can grab one here. The beef wasn't as good as Schwabl's, and it did get super soggy towards the end but it's still a hearty option if you're really craving it.

Hot wings (are they Nashville style on purpose?)

My son and I visited 13 wing places in 4 days during our 2025 Wing Crawl. We hit Kelly's late Tuesday night - out last stop. Around 10:30pm as I recall. The music was blaring and you could tell it was a bar at that hour. Very loud. We got the order to go given the noise. Service was quick but you could tell this is a place for locals. We are not locals. :-) We brought the wings back to the hotel and at then there. We got hot and they were not as expected. I was picking up a Nashville Hot flavor. Not my preference. We rated all 13 places and Kelly's got a 7.0 out of 10 and tied for 10th place. They were alright just not worth a return trip in our opinion.

This place continues to be a down home, comfortable place to eat some excellent home cooked Buffalo favorites! Good job! The overall atmosphere speaks volumes the minute you walk in the green Irish door with the countdown to St. Patty's Day! Love it! Simple, but delicious menu, sidelining affordable meals!

Beef on Weck...nuff said! Must get the beef on Weck...holy roast beef piled high on a salted bun. I could eat these all day! Nice job! 5 stars! Medium Buffalo wings...pretty damn good too! 4 stars! Can't go wrong....definitely get the Beef on Weck!

Hot wings, crispy with just enough sauce.

Had to check out the wings and weck here and we were not disappointed! Local dive filled with lovely customers and welcoming staff. The bartender was very friendly, talked to us about the food and what Kelly's is know for, gave us a sample of their house made hot sauce, which was awesome. We sat at the bar watching the Sabres and enjoyed fantastic wings, the thickest beef on weck I've ever had, and devious hot and crispy fries. No frills here, just great food and friendly staff.

So living in Buffalo everyone knows we are serious about our wings. The locals like me know that the best aren't at the so called historic places but at the regular mom and pops shops and neighbors bars and restaurants. I've heard about Kelly's Korner for some time but never had the opportunity to try them out. But today I had sometime to kill and just went for it. Kelly Korner is definitely a neighbor bar, when I walked in everyone turned around, lol. But everyone was super friendly!!! I laughed my butt off and even got some great advice about toddlers from the bartender, lol. So i order a simple Milargros Tequila with soda water lime and a single order of wings. As you can see my drink was a tall, nice and refreshing as I waited for my wings. The wings were out in less than 20 mins and were crispy yet saucy!! Just a really solid order of wings!! I definitely wanna try a flavor another time. Now once again Kelly's Korner is a neighbor bar, another no frills spot, nothing fancy at all but food and cheap drinks are an A + in my book always !!

A neighborhood after-work bar within a fantastic community of folks. I love this place! My wife and I each ordered the roast beef sandwich on a Kaiser roll (I don't do salt.) Fantastic, and I can't believe I ate the whole thing. We also split an order of some the best French fries I've had. Beer was cold, service was excellent and the atmosphere is friendly. We'll return soon for the wings!

Single wing house made hot with a side of house made hot.
    Gary Z.

No frills just thrills here at Kelly's Korner. Its simplicity is its charm. Friendly local neighborhood bar with outstanding chicken wings and beef on weck along with a limited menu. House made hot wing sauce is the star here. Pro tip: ask for a side of their hot sauce for dipping. Service is friendly and relaxed but so worth the short wait. Give'em a try and thank me later.

Hubs and I came for dinner with four friends a couple weeks back and though it was a splurge, I have no regrets. Everything I had was delicious. We had: Focaccia Roasted Carrots Wagyu strip Rhubarb Panna Cotta Pineapple Pavlova I also had a Freakin' Beacon mocktail. Everything was SO GOOD. That focaccia was like no other focaccia I'd ever had but was delicious; crisp on the outside, soft on the inside. The steak (med rare) was perfect to me, hubs thought it was a tiny bit too rare for him. It was super tender and easy to eat, perfect char. I couldn't eat the chimmichurri it came with as it has Thai basil (not usual in chimmichurri, but I'm allergic, and the server was very good about asking about allergies) but honestly, it didn't need it. That steak stood on its own. Both desserts were delicious, but to my surprise I think the pavlova was even better than the panna cotta (and I love panna cotta). The portions were very generous and I was pretty stuffed by the time I got home. Our portion of the bill was over $200 (hubs also had some cocktails and the steak alone was almost $90) but it was so good, we'll want to come back when we're in town for sure.

The service was very good and it's a cute spot that I'd be willing to come back to. The best thing we had BY FAR were the beef croquettes. These were perfect, and I could have made a meal out of them. They had a tender birria like shredded meat inside with some cheese and probably some potato, I can't even remember but I do remember that everyone loved these. We also ordered asparagus, the Korean Fried Chicken, the shrimp with potatoes (all small plates) and one of my friends ordered the duck entree. My husband and friends had cocktails and mocktails; I didn't order one because they said they had nothing that was sweet. Incidental pet peeve: Saying "all our cocktails are balanced". I get it, you want to brag. But, some of us like things that are sweet, or as in the case of one of my friends, decidedly NOT sweet. If all of your cocktails are balanced the same way, it gives little useful info on what to order. I will respond to this by NOT ordering and sticking to tap water. I'd prefer it if you have a little something sweet and a little something not-sweet on the menu for those of us who don't actually want "perfectly balanced". That said, I did have a sip of the cocktails the others ordered. To my surprise, I liked the Broken Garden Tools. Though it wasn't particularly sweet it was also not super sour/tart and it was refreshing. I *could* have ordered that one, but I never would have known it from the description. I didn't like any of the others I tasted, but I can't remember what those were. Since I don't like whisky and I prefer sweet drinks, don't take this to mean that they don't have good drinks - the others enjoyed theirs, they just weren't to MY taste. Of the other dishes, I liked the cabbage that was on my friend's duck plate (I didn't try the duck). The asparagus was fine. The shrimp and potatoes was ok but not as good as I'd hoped for. And honestly, I didn't love the KFC. It didn't seem to be twice-fried and super crispy like KFC should be, and the sauce to me wasn't balanced between the sweet and spicy flavors I prefer. However, my husband liked it very well. The only other thing I'd caution is to double check ingredients. There was a dish ordered (I can't remember which now, some kind of bread maybe, but not listed as a bruschetta) that said it contained rosemary among other things but did not list basil. We saw no rosemary at all, but a lot of basil, which I can't eat. So I didn't have any. The others shared it. I would have been more disappointed had it been my selection. My friend noted that the server did not ask us about any food allergies, which, if your menu doesn't accurately list its contents, is problematic. Fortunately I know what basil looks like so no harm done. All in all, I would return, get lots of croquettes, order a Broken Garden Tools, and maybe try some other things we didn't get to. But I'd double check all the ingredients.

Thanks to a Yelp Elite event on Hertel Ave., I FINALLY changed that with a fantastic late dinner at The Burning Buffalo Bar & Grill. One of the main reasons I don't like to go out in Buffalo is parking - I'm always anxious about finding a spot that's close to where I'm going, as well as not having to pay for it. It was 7:45pm on a Tuesday, so street parking was free so one obstacle down, and amazingly, I managed to park right in front of The Burning Buffalo Bar & Grill, but across the street - I'll take it! Upon walking inside, there were a few tables outside full of people having dinner and drinks with one waitress managing all of it. I walked in and was surprised how big, spacious it was. First order of business though was hitting the restroom, which was on the small side, but clean. After that, I grabbed a seat at the bar. The bartender was a young, pretty woman who was very personable. Unsure of what to grab for a drink, she asked what beers I usually go for and with that, she was fired off a few beers on draught I might like. I settled on the Jack's Abby Post Shift Pilsner and enjoyed sipping on that the rest of the night. She handed me the food menu and took care of a few other customers while I figured out what I wanted. I got it down to two items and I asked her for her recommendation, which was excellent and how I'd order, if and when I make it back. But similar to what other reviews on Yelp say, the atmosphere was very much like a neighborhood bar and grill, where everyone knows each other and if they don't know you, they're still more than willing to let you hop in and out of the conversation. I felt very comfortable sitting and listening to the "regulars" chat, watching a baseball game on the TVs behind the bar. So for dinner, I decided on ordering their Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich which is topped with lettuce, tomato, sriracha mayo, and cheddar cheese, with pickles underneath between a soft, brioche bun with a side of hand cut fries and a pickle spear on the side. The bartender recommended swapping out the cheddar cheese with pepperjack cheese, an awesome swap! The size of the fried chicken breast was HUGE by itself! I was so impressed how the well the sandwich held together as I devoured it. The chicken was hot, not greasy at all. The lettuce and tomato tasted fresh and looked crisp, there was plenty of that pepperjack cheese on top the chicken and pickles underneath. The sriracha mayo was excellent, albeit I would've liked more of it, I think more would've made the sandwich messy and hard to handle, so it really was the right amount on there. The hand cut fries were great as well; Crispier on the ends and softer in the center but plenty hot and not over seasoned. If you've seen other reviews of mine, you'll get the sense I have a pretty big appetite so I was able to demolish the sandwich but I couldn't finish all my fries, so that should be enough to tell you the portions here are HUGE and AWESOME! At first glance, the prices look expensive but I think they're justified as the quality and portions are phenomenal, I certainly felt I got my money's worth. I'm so happy that after several years of living in Buffalo, I made it over to Hertel Ave. finally! I'm also glad I chose The Burning Buffalo Bar and Grill for dinner. The quality and quantity of food, the friendly neighborhood atmosphere, the personable staff, what more can you ask for? I can't wait to come back and grab another Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich or maybe give their North Buffalo Cheesesteak a try!

Great service from Renee who was very accommodating, patient and knowledgeable. Upon walking in the restaurant is intimate, prohibition era like, romantic, yet homey vibes. The food was VERY good. Started with one of the BEST mushroom soups I've ever had. Mushrooms were thick cut, broth was very tasty ..a cup of love that think could win over a non mushroom eater. I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes and carrots and surprisingly the star of the show was the carrots. The mains, although good didn't leave me wondering how in the world did they made them like the carrots did. They were sweet and savory, cooked perfectly with great texture and taste. My guests had the Salmon burger and another, the Lamb. Tasted my sister's salmon burger and it was amazing. I'll be coming back to have my own. Salmon was meaty, seasoned well, on a soft brioche bun. I also don't know what the sauce was they made to go with it but it added the perfect compliment. My brother's lamb was TENDER, cooked perfectly and seasoned to perfection. I'll be back for that too when they add a couple more chops to the plate. It was delicious, but the lamb chops were tiny and there were only four. THE DESSERT::: soooo good... definitely appreciated the HOMEMADE taste of the chocolate tart. Three people shared it and with the first bite I could tell that was a mistake. Next time I'll get my own for sure. Pro's- Quality food, great service, decent pricing Con's- Size of Lamb and Hibiscus Spritzer was definitely missing something.

As the group arrived, some kind people moved down so we had more seats. We asked for a 6 top and were happy to wait a bit. The place filled up. I noticed a number of neighborhood residents who had walked or biked over. We were sat and brought fresh drinks. I never mind a wait on a busy night as long as the server checks in and keeps up on the drinks. We did wait about an hour which is a little much when your glass is empty. I'd give 5 stars but, we were left looking for either a drink or dinner. When we were served, everything was great. I had a standard fish fry, fries & slaw. The fish was delicious and the sides were good. The fish burrito was a nice alternative and the vegetarian in our group enjoyed the impossible burger. I *rarely* give 5 stars…read more The bbq here is Ah-mazing!!! What a great local spot! Went in at the end of the night in the middle of the week. Still had all menu items available, and the food was fresh, tender, and super flavorful! Got the RBT family style platter it was more than enough food for four of us. Ribs were falling off the bone tender, had both smoked wings and buffalo style wings which were done perfectly, and their brisket is fantastic! Tried hamburger egg roll app, and a variety of sides. Customer service was stellar! Trevor made great suggestions helped us decide what to get for our small party and gave excellent service.... Super friendly, attentive service.

The food here is absolutely BOMB. Honestly, if this place served late night in house and delivery,…read moreeven a reduced bar menu...they'd probably kill it. Buffalo is not exactly known for quality late night bites with the exception of a few solid spots. Roaming Bison has the product, location, and food truck right outside to meet an majorly underserved demographic. Also, it would be so cool to see a fish option on future visits. The catfish pics on Yelp look incredible and we were a little bummed it wasn't on the menu...although everything we did have was beyond. Ribs: sic. Brisket: beautiful bark. Sides: collard greens, mac & chz, corn cake...fantastic. We look forward to coming back to try the eggplant wings. Oh and the service was perfectly Buffalo.....authentic and warm hearted.
