Service was quick and kind, the cafe minimally decorated. The place is tiny but packs in a bunch with its oval center counter top-very smart construction here-nice tables and curtains. As a Foodie, I look for fresh ingredients and found them nestled inside my Veggie omelette which was loaded with FRESH and CRISP mushrooms, spinach, broccoli, and onions. The home fries were small potatoes- seasoned and sautéed just right. The only reason I didn't give this place a 5 start rating is because we were a bit annoyed by the whistles and bells blaring from "The Price is Right" morning show playing on the large wall tv. Its as if the place is having an identity crisis where it can't decide if it's a diner or a cafe. Personally, I envision more decor and some light cafe tunes to match the Foodie/Cafe vibe. The delicious food certainly deserves a more calm and cozy ambience. Overall, we'll definitely return because we can't find fresh cafe food like this across many of the surrounding towns in western CT. Thanks, Angie, for a wonderful meal!

There were some surprise grapes that gave the sandwich some appreciated sweetness. Only note is that it did take some time to get our food and drinks but there was a lot of traction during our visit and what looked to be one person manning the register/making drinks and someone else in the back on the food. Some of us tried their Chai Latte-all agreed that it was quite milky and needed some sugar so there's that. I had the melon cucumber drink, it was good-I think would be lovely in summer weather but not as cucumbery as I would have hoped! Overall would recommend!

It's been a while, but I was craving a little bit of that nostalgia and made the trip to Christy's. I was concerned when I arrived at 615pm for dinner and I was the only non-staff member cat in the lot. Yes, it was a Tuesday. But...the only? Despite circling the building thinking I should leave - I went in. I wanted a roast beef club on white with an extra side of coleslaw (I LOVE coleslaw). On a whim, I also tried a cup of chili. 1 star for the look and decor. It's truly a diner. 1 star for the service. Everyone was attentive (I was the only customer) and wonderful. Perhaps I ordered wrong, but the roast beef was one day away from inedible. It had a slight funk that only comes when it's been cut and doesn't turn with orders within 4-5 days. I ate it. But had to put some of my coleslaw on it to trick myself. Oh, the coleslaw was not real. Not house made. It's the base version offered by PGE (food distributer buying group). Tasteless. Not creamy. Nothing tasted authentic or seemed to have inspiration. All the food was presented well. But I don't think this place does enough business for things to be fresh for lunch or dinner. I would go back for breakfast foods - as they have to be cooked to order.

It looked really good and she mentioned her friend always got the buffalo chicken baked potato so I got that. Potato was a bit undercooked, basic buffalo sauce and a couple of frozen chicken fingers. Both my wife and daughter got the chicken penne vodka which was really really good. My son loved, even if he was a bit scared of, the cupcake with the sparkler. Would definitely come back, just ordering something different next time. Other people's burgers looked great.
