    Coupon text

Went in for an oil change and attempted to use the coupon posted on their website for $5 off your oil change. I was told that you have to print the coupon out to get the discount (even though that isn't in the text on the coupon or on the website). After a lot of back and forth the manager said he would allow me to go print the coupon and bring it back and he would refund me the $5. I said OK and that I would bring cash with me to pay instead of the CC I used originally to save the 2.5% fee. I get back with the coupon and the cash and informed the manger that I have the cash with me (it was also in my hands and on the counter when he took the paper coupon) he refunds the $5 and then asks..."what are you doing?" to which I told him I brought cash back for the payment like I said. His response, "you already paid with card I can't do all that". Anyway, lot of time to say the visit could have been a lot better.

I hate to leave 1 star reviews, especially from an establishment that was highly recommend to me from a family member. About a week and a half ago my car started to leak oil. The family member said go to ricks they are good. Anywho I called last week around 830 am and said I had an oil leak and is this something they can take care of and can I make an appointment; I was told it was on a first come first serve basis no appointments needed, then I asked if I come in around 12 would that be ok. Again over the phone the guy said just come on in. I went in at noon, and was told they couldn't take me because they were busy and it's first come first serve and I needed to be there by 8am to be seen (umm ok I understand that but why when I called did you say to come in only to waste my time and send me away); anywho a week later I make arrangements to have my dad pick me up a ricks at 8am cause I intend to leave my car there to get worked on for the day. First I walk up to 2 guys staring at me in the bay, (no good morning, no how can I help) as a women it made me feel really uncomfortable. I then go up to the guys and say "good morning I was here last week about oil leaking from my car and was told to come back at 8am since it's first come first serve". The guy then says "so what do you need? (With attitude)" again I said oil is leaking from my car and I would like it fixed. He then said it sounds like my "oil needs to be cleaned out and I needed to go to the car wash" ummm ok. So then I re asked, so what you're telling me is you don't fix oil leaks here then?" His rude response was we do, but not today we're short staffed and it's first come first serve. I didn't even argue, simply walked away and won't be coming back ever. The lack of professionalism, waste of my time, standoffish demeanor of ricks employees will undoubtedly lose customers. The two men working made me feel as if I was bothering them on their coffee break asking them for help. Perhaps some training in customer service is due, good luck.

I have taken my cars to Ricks Lube on Carson St. for over 10 years. The other day, we took my 2006 Highlander to Rick's shop and Alex quoted $1200 to fix a broken coil, broken part, and a coolant leak. We took the truck to a different shop and was told to fix the broken coil and broken part, the cost would be $160. I always thought Rick's Lube was an honest car repair shop. SHAME ON YOU RICK. You lost a good loyal customer Alex, Thank you for the detailed explanation as to why my truck was going to cost $1200. I never saw anything written down.

Alex said, it is a relatively new car and the transmission oil, which is probably synthetic, will not have to be replaced until 100K miles.

I get why you're going here: you need a routine oil change and want somewhere that's open and by…read morethe book. But I'm telling you, go elsewhere. I got my oil changed and later saw a leak. Brought my car back for a fix. A day later the leak was still there. They tell me that it's because of a dent in my oil pan so I took it to a mechanic for a diagnostic. The mechanic tells me that during the oil change these guys managed to strip the closure and sealed it with epoxy in order to prevent any leak. That means the next time I get my oil changed, the cost will be $550 as I get a new oil pan because these guys couldn't take the time to do the job carefully. Maybe in a pinch you could go on ahead to this spot but it really would be better to just go to a garage that will do a change properly.

As you can see either I like your service or I don't! One place didn't have time, I called a second place and the guys laughed at me telling me I've never heard of a drive through oil change place. I then called Jiffy Lube a spoke with a young lady and was so impressed with her answers to my questions one being if it was drive through and if I can stay in the car with my sons. So I drove to this place she explained everything to me she made me feel welcome and even offered me a cup of coffee! I sure started my day great! So everything went just as described per our call even the ballpark for the oil change, the price was right for the service! If you're a parent with little ones I totally recommend this drive through Jiffy Lube. Customer service goes a great way specially when your hands are already full: )
