The bun was buttery, toasted, and the avocados were real and mushy. It was such a thick sandwich. Getting it all in your mouth was tricky, but each perfect bite was phenomenal. My husband did omit the veggies but what he got looked so good! I got the Country Scramble. Scrambled eggs, sausage, ham, cheese, veggies, country gravy smothered all over potatoes. Both plates were massive! My country scramble was so good! I swear country gravy on anything is so tasty. The potatoes were soft and savory. Plenty of eggs, meats and cheese on top. I only finished a third of my plate. It's enough to share! My husband's biscuits were smothered and covered. The biscuits were soft and paired perfectly with the gravy. We ended up taking half a biscuit home and I look forward to tearing it up tomorrow for breakfast. Moon's has and will always be one of the best local joints to have breakfast at. The set is is really nice and bright! They had fresh pastries out, they all looked wonderful. The initial lemonades we got didn't quite taste right. My daughter who was trying to be kind didn't say anything. After a couple more sips, I had to say something. They honestly tasted like lemon water with strawberry. Nothing like how a strawberry lemonade should taste. After informing a staff member about it, they did try to fix it by adding simple syrup to it. After all the adjustments, was still ok. Not to be rude but I should have just grabbed a soda. I'm sure I got them on an off day. I'm positive that they normally don't serve products like this. Their menu had a lot of options which can be overwhelming but after going through their many options we decided on a salami sandwich on a cheese bagel, French dip and a bowl of chicken and wild rice soup. My sandwich was so good! The cheddar bagel was soft and chewy. It was also sweet and savory. There was a good amount of salami and veggies. My daughter's French dip a nice and hearty! She ate every bite of it. The dip was hot and savory. A perfect addition to her sandwich. The soup was piping hot! There were chunks of carrots and celery. The rice was more broken down but it was still good! I work a couple blocks from this joint and I look forward to coming here for some hot soup and more bagel sandos! With a revised and bit expanded menu and a new young Chef in the kitchen, formerly Executive Chef at a Portland area McMenamins, this was a unique little gem before and the changes have polished it even brighter. This time we enjoyed being able to try new menu items like green salad with Delicata squash and herbed goat cheese (half order $7.50), house made pappardelle with braised lamb Bolognese ($18) and mushroom Marsala on polenta ($13). As a great new surprise on the wine menu, manager Gina Sturiale (daughter of Rita) has added a really good white and red wine by the glass, like the nice Negroamaro my husband enjoyed, for as little as $5! I ordered a salad with steak for the protein. I got the tzatziki dressing on it. I asked for extra cucumbers and dressing. I ended up.with too much for the small amount of greens. Salad was tasty and the steak was great--very tender. The salad dressing is nice, however a little goes a long way. I opted for brown rice as the base. I'd eat that ag, but thought $10.75 was a little much. Most all of the takeout items are in the $9-12 range. I got their ver of a pizza. It was okay. i am not a fan of turkey pepperoni. There was ground beef too that was good. But not enough sauce so I thought it was dry. The meals all had between 32 to 50 grams protein. I recommend their PROTEIN BALLS. In the $6 range for 6. They last a long time in your refrigerator so you don't need to use them right away. They're full of oats, whey protein and other good things. I got peanut butter and Oreo flavors. Both were good and I could easily eat them all. I had a peanut butter protein shake too good if in a hurry but not sweet. If you Are in the area, its a healthy change from burgers.

I ordered the 6oz Holy Guacamole and a smoothie (as did my husband), but was rushed through the line even though there was no one behind my party. I could also barely hear the girl working the line due to all the kitchen noise (pans slamming, grill going, blenders going) and asked her to repeat herself, but she just capped my bowl and sent it straight to the register. I then realized she first asked about the toppings, so I wasn't able to order any. The entire team seemed rushed to be closing considering all the kitchen and dining area clean up chaos - even though they close at 7pm and there were still other patrons walking in as we were paying. It was about $44 without tip. All in all, it was an okay experience but don't think I'll be back. The seasonings were good but a bit too salty. The chicken was cooked well but the shrimp tasted like it was just recently defrosted. The service wasn't great - we obviously walked in looking lost and then weren't directed on where to go or how the order flow works. Clearly, they were all in a rush to close and it left a sour note for me.
